I'm at the point where I can save or drain a little sister. do you eventually get something for saving them? or does it spawn a different storyline/ending?

ok, I'm a n00b, so I apologize for the lamer question:
how'd you do that? are the sound files just sitting in a dir somewhere? or did you use some app to do it? Thanks!
also, I downloaded the score...I was expecting more of the old 40's style music. maybe that's on a soundtrack, rather than the score.

I guess I don't understand why people actually make the effort to jump in to forums and rip apart a game. It seems like a waste of energy...if you don't like a game, return it, and move on with your life...
...or maybe that's the problem. No life. Guess I'll never understand it. 'nuff said

yeah...they should definitely release it for free, unless it has a completely MAJOR overhaul. but knowing Sierra, that ain't what's happening.

hopefully the retail version will implement some hard-core slap downs on cheaters. This is literally one of my favorite games of all time...yet I don't play it because of all the cheaters online.

yes, that IS interesting...maybe what they meant to write was: "it only shows you the best pieces of the whole"
That's been my experience in a lot of games. Demo is great, but the rest of the game is mediocre by comparison.
I hope this isn't true w/ this one, as I've enjoyed the demo.

I've been watching these one develop for a while now. I've seen some of the work these guys did w/ original UT engine, and I've always been totally blown away. I'm totally envious that you were able to help to create it. I'm hoping to mod the heck outta their engine.
I just wish that people could understand what these guys were aiming at, and just what they've managed to accomplish. I really want this game to be sucessful for them. I just think that most MP players are too 'twitchy' and don't really take the time to immerse themselves.
I will continue to get the good word out on this game.

Max: Fair enough. I'm pretty pessimistic myself, and if you want my $40, you gotta impress me. The nice thing is that quite a few stores specializing in games allow you to return a game if you don't like it.
My impression of the game has been very positive. The level of detail in the game is truly astounding. After playing it for a bit, and then going on to other games, I really noticed how 'static' and 'bare' all the levels and areas I was in felt. Devastation has created a truly immersive, believable world, imo. I found it much easier to 'be there' than Unreal 2, for example. (which I returned to the store) Shooting off Eminem's arm and other body parts on several occasions were also very rewarding. (no offense to the real Eminem)
I do agree that the player models are a bit weak, and the sound needs work. I wonder if the developers cut those items back to allow them to put more in the levels themselves and to allow for the physics system. I think it's a fair trade off, and Arush has already shown their willingness to listen to the community.

Belly Flop: AMEN!
Arush has done a great job listening to the users, imo.
(also, make sure that you REALLY take the time to investigate something before ripping it apart in a knee jerk reaction) 'nuff said

I haven't had any problems w/ the demo.
This game went gold a few weeks ago, so you'll have to wait for a patch to get the sound fixes.
I'm betting (hoping) that the net code is better in full version. Extracting a demo from the full version isn't exactly easy, and I suspect that is why some people were having trouble.
I guess we'll all find out tomorrow...

is it possible that they did that...and that's why they sound similar?
...maybe I'm wrong, you being an 'artist' and all, i"m sure you can tell the diff.
I'm sorry, but I'm just sick of people 'nit-picking' this game before it's even out. Give some props to these guys (small shop) instead of just pledging blind allegiance to all the same game companies over and over again(MS, id, Raven, EA, etc.)...take some time and really investigate the game before making a rash judgement. I know that's asking a lot of all you out there w/ a low attention span...but I htink you'll be happy once you do.

Does anyone know where (.ini file) I can limit the number of users in a game? it runs fine until the server fills up.
I've also noticed that turning off 'physics' really helps too...just an FYI.
Re: Ugh: player models do need some work. I'm thinking that they cut back on polygons for the models to allow for the all those cool things in the levels. I'm more than satisfied. (except the netcode, but I'm sure they'll patch it)
