you guys must have never worked with people like this

it probably was originally "features 18 of the best tracks from the game" and some arsehole from marketing was like "no no! if you say 'the best' it means the others are 'the worst'! change it now! oh i know! just say 'iconic'!!"

Also just FYI the term "professional victim" is commonly used to describe people who don't take responsibility for the things that happen to them even in the cases that what happened was likely their own fault (i.e. failing a test and blaming it on the teacher rather than a lack of studying). I don't think you're trying to imply that the abuse hurled at these women is their own fault, so maybe professional victim isn't the right term for what you're describing?

Its absolutely the right term, and the "abuse" is absolutely their own fault

talking heads thrive on attention of any sort: good, bad, ambivalent, etc.. its all profitable for them, so yes - they are "professional victims" in the most obvious way possible

These guys must have found some LSD around somewhere.

Tell me about it. you don't just come up with: "bearded guy living a in sky kingdom, and creating women out of ribs" without taking acid. That is some trippy jimmy Hendrix shit man.

it wasnt acid, it was the burning bush

News Comments > Battlefield Hardline Changing Based on Beta

VG247: What about smaller things that perhaps players wonít notice immediately?

Steve Papoutsis: Playing around with recoil on the weapon and bullet flinch are big things. Going back to some of the earlier Battlefields the franchise has a long history with so many fans that certain people like a specific version. Like Bad Company, which I think is one of the more fun Battlefields. They had reduced flinch in those games so it wasnít as bad. The community felt that the impact flinch takes some of the skill out of the game Ė youíre not in control because youíre being hit. So weíve been ratcheting that back and experimented with that. The non-Battlefield veterans may not notice the subtleties.

Is there anything thatís an improvement on general Battlefield gameplay, not just Hardline?

Steve Papoutsis: Sometimes when youíre playing Battlefield and you see a medic but you donít have your mic itís frustrating because you canít tell him you want a health pack. Now you can run up to anybody who has a health kit equipped and hit the action button and get healed. Itís subtle but it really helps things along and reduces some of the friction and frustration.

doesnt look like postal in that it seems un-humorous.. looks pretty disturbing - its made specifically for "trenchcoat mafia" types, gratuitously so

i wonder if it will start getting press, seems pretty freaky

Basically, if GG has taught me anything it's not that there is a huge problem with gaming journalism, it's that there's a huge problem in many gamers themselves.

This. One million times this. And only this line.

including both of you

Fabrication of threats is good for publicity it looks like.

Occam's Razor: someone is threatening her.

depends on what you mean by that, for example:

Fucking publishers. Die in a fucking fire.

if creston posted that to a publishers web forum, it could be considered a "death threat", and this is exactly the kind of thing these "victims" can point to... even though its pretty much common internet traffic

Yeah gotta say the game is growing on me...the mechanics are simplistic and repetetive but there is fun to be had in the game once you start doing more of the side missions and just plain run around wreaking havoc.

Same here. Just got started and my only difficulty is finding out how to properly interrogate a worm. I keep accidentally killing them instead. It's a bit frustrating. Haven't done any of the main story missions...still running around the map.

you can grab a worm whenever, you dont have to beat them down
