Hope they fix the "feature" (read bug) that the monster can't destroy the power plant if he's taking damage. Had a frustrating match where their sniper would buy time for the team to respawn by pot shotting me from afar so I couldn't destroy the relay and it happened over and over until I gave up on the power plant and concentrated on wiping the team.

If they want the monster to wipe the team to win, just take out the stupid power plant. Why is it even there?

Freedom without responsibility doesn't work. We should aspire to more than pandering to the lowest common denominator. Anything for a buck, Gabe?

Im not sure what you are getting at here Cutter. Its very possible that Steam and Valve might in the end lose some business because of this decision. As for your freedom without responsibility that's all fine and dandy but ultimatevly it's not your decision to make, it's Valve's or rather Gabe's.

I'm not arguing that. I'm arguing it's an irresponsible and immoral choice. They're putting profit before people, and that's immoral. No one likes censorship but the freedom at any cost argument is asinine and infantile.

No one likes censorship? Clearly YOU like censorship. What else do you call the idea that this game should be banned from steam? When it comes to freedom, you are free to stop buying games from steam if you don't like what they're doing.

edit - not defending Obama here, just saying that receiving the most money from cable companies is more a function of him being in the highest office, not a function of him being bought. This does not mean he isn't bought, or heavily influenced, just means that any President we had under this system would be the greatest recipient of money from virtually any non-partisan company.

I understand, I'm just trying to enlighten the people who seem to blindly trust Obama because "he cares about people like us". In other news for these people... "Jonathan Gruber".

Considering Obama probably has more comcast money in his pocket than any other politician, I'm going to call BS on his "i'm internet jesus" routine.

President Obama, at Mr. Cohen’s home in Philadelphia in 2013 to raise money for Democratic Senate candidates, joked, “I have been here so much, the only thing I haven’t done in this house is have Seder dinner.”

Mr. Cohen oversees Comcast’s robust lobbying operation and sets the strategies to shepherd its acquisitions past antitrust questions and other regulatory concerns.

Don't know about other people but DA2 was one of the most unstable games I've ever played. It crashed so much, the only way I could complete it was to eventually download a trainer so I could mass kill all the enemies to get back to where I was before it crashed.

Between this and Witcher 3 I need to see DAI stability info and Witcher 3 combat reviews and then I can make a decision. On PC I just don't get the need to preorder (unless you have very slow internet), they're not running out of copies.

Why is this on mass media now... why...

Because the Democratic party is a train wreck going into the elections and MSNBC is just a shill for the DNC. They need to fill time with something other than the fact that the Democrats are probably going to lose the senate.

Screams console port. iish.

Bethesda always makes console ports. I remember when Bioshock came out the mouse movement was so laggy. Then they come out with Fallout and the inventory screen was CLEARLY a shitty console port. I don't know why PC people still give these people money. Then again, Skyrim had mod support which fixed a lot of stuff so maybe someone outside Bethesda will fix this POS.

I think people get mad because most feminist arguments are bullshit in the grand scheme of life. There's no male victoria's secret fashion show glorifying male sexuality. Very few men retire at the ripe age of 18-21 to be taken care of by their wife. Very few men can abuse their sexuality to receive favored treatment. For as many downsides as women have, they have plenty of upsides men do not enjoy.

Why do Carl's Jr commercials feature women? Because men are the target audience. Why do videogames use certain tropes about women? Because men are the target audience. I'm sure if I watch an average sex and the city episode I can find plenty of negative male stereotypes. Why? target audience.

I'll stick with Insurgency. Too bad they finally wised up and stopped letting you play the single player for free over the weekend.

Are there many players playing insurgency?

If you're looking for an FPS to play you can try Planetside 2. F2P and so far I've been loving it. A bit of a learning curve but once you figure it out you're good.

10. Re: Steamships Ahoy - The Golf Club Aug 20, 2014, 11:34 Seventyfive

Pretty much the worst golf game I have ever played. When you move your mouse there's a 1 second delay before you see your character respond so it's impossible to get a feel for the shots. In the old school tiger woods games, as you move your mouse, the character's club moves back 1:1. In this game there's no consistent ratio and HUGE input lag. It's a shitty console port to be avoided at all costs.

I feel like they're trying hard to make this the best BF4 add on possible. I just hope they bump up run speed more than 10%. I feel like it needs a 50% increase to get to what is the speed an actual adult might run let alone want to play a non ghost recon/rainbow 6 shooter at.

I don't know what all the hype is about. This game looks like it would get boring in 15 minutes. And I don't know if I'm spoiled by having a PC but the textures look shitty, explosions look shitty....

I'd rather just skip all the "planet generation dinosaurs" and wait for Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen to get my sci fi fix.

2. Re: Defiance Game Not Dependent on TV Series Jul 31, 2014, 11:11 Seventyfive

The game is borderlands MMO basically. You're not a vault hunter you're an ark hunter. You go to vending machines to buy guns that have time limited specials. I swear I even heard someone say "catching a ride" when they summoned their vehicle. Not that any of this is a bad thing. I found the game really fun but a little bit repetitive.
