News Comments > Hearthstone Adds New Standard Mode
8. Re: Hearthstone Adds New Standard Mode Feb 3, 2016, 09:14 BitWraith

Hearthstone was a nicely designed fun little diversion game. I'm thinking it may now be getting too complicated for their target market. It needs to stay as simple as possible.

I think it's a hoot, Miss Anti-Objectification and Sexualization of women, wearing hoop earrings big enough to drive a truck through.

This person has years to go before they any clue.

How are her earrings at all relevant to anything?

Essentially this was a non-issue. People lost their shit over hashed out phone numbers and credit card numbers.

I'm sure Valve was caught off guard by the blow-back. In their eyes, nothing really happened.

You ever hear of the Chernobyl disaster? This level of incompetence is comparable.

Aaaand right about that point everyone in the room stopped listening to your crazy ramblings.

Hehe, yup. OMG, a video game delivery system accidentally exposed some peoples' private information! This is the same level of incompetence that caused a nuclear reactor to melt down and kill 31 people and poison thousands of others! A video game delivery system hiccup is just as bad as the SECOND WORST NUCLEAR DISASTER IN HISTORY!

Get a grip.

Not to quibble here, but what would you consider to be the very worst nuclear disaster in history?

I enjoyed the hell out of Unity, and I agree with OP. So far I am enjoying Syndicate a lot, but Unity was one hell of a game. I was lucky to have very few technical issues, so I really enjoyed it.

Good thing it's only Taylor Swift. If it had been a legitimate artist it might have had an effect on my life.

if you don't think a 3 monitor setup with sli is a 1% system, I don't think you know what you are talking about.

CIG should definitely be putting mass resources into this kind of setup in alpha software... ...

Very few people have that kind of setup.

25. Re: Star Citizen Trailer; Arena Commander Free Demo Dec 4, 2015, 15:03 BitWraith

That video is fairly heavily edited. If you watch someone play it live (like they did at Citizen Con) you get a good sense of how boring this game really looks. Because of the no transitions business, you end up having to watch every elevator rise, every chair turn, every door open. It just looks dull - like a poorly edited movie.

Yeah, but Apple's desktop sales grew by 3%, and their tablet sales dropped by 20%.

REASON? Who needs a tablet when you have a phone?

And we won't even offer a rebate on the expansion to our veterans. How do you like that?"Me: "Easy. I won't buy your expansions. How do you like that?"
Hasn't this happened with most MMOs, outside of wow?

Yes. Some people just like to bitch about things. Guild Wars 2 is the only major MMO that I know of that is Buy 2 Play. Buy the game for $50 and you never pay a subscription fee, ever.

In over 3 years Arenanet never charged a dime. The math came out to something like $1.30 per month.

($50 / 1151 days since launch) x 30 average days in a month = $1.303214596003475

I don't know about you guys but I call that a bargain.

I think The Secret World is B2P. You could argue whether it's a major MMO or not.

Lucas is right. Games have stories, but the story is not the main thrust of the experience. The interactivity is the art at work in video games, not the story. The story is a nice addition that gives you a reason to keep playing, but it's not the main feature of the product.

I'd say it was fun when Desmond Miles was still around but ever since the end of AC3 it's been pretty pointless and has just been dragged along for no purpose than old time's sake.
They should make a decision to either reinstate the importance of the Abstergo thing properly or cut it loose for good cuz the half-assed shit is not helping anyone.

I agree. I think the ending to AC3 was an attempt to cut it loose, but it's still hanging around for some reason.

Frankly I thought they should have stuck to their guns and done a modern day one.

I would like to play this game if it's released, but I seriously can't justify paying 900 for anything that isn't real.
