id be interested in a far-future Fallout setting.. where people are only a few decades away from being nationalized, etc - like a mostly restored wasteland, with unexplored weirdness just under the surface

i like that sort of combo ancient/futuristic type settings.. kinda like that anime "Alexander" or some of the Final Fantasy stuff (in theory)

i think it could be cool to see the post-apoc wasteland type setting where it is post-post-post-apoc

56. Re: Ships Ahoy - Aliens: Colonial Marines Feb 12, 2013, 12:04 Orphic Resonance

SUMMARY: Like most successful license-based games, Aliens: Colonial Marines is much more than a loving homage; it serves as one of the most robust story-driven co-op experiences to date. The concept definitely has room to grow, but as maiden voyages go, Colonial Marines is a clear winner.

THE GOOD: A modern Alien game that does much more than avoid being total crap.
THE BAD: AI teammates that seem to forget the alien menace must be obliterated
THE UGLY: The cutscenes. Love-ya-mean-it, guys, but next time, can ya get Halo 4ís CG squad?
SCORE: 9.0

so what are you waiting for? go out and buy it!

I want to know who the developer is, as Rocksteady Studios was reportedly working on a TMNT game.

man if someone did a TMNT game in the original Eastman and Laird style, like "return to new york" it would be pretty awesome.. especially if they used the Frank Fosco art

Love the idea of Tagging designers and mocking their shitty design decisions in public. Bonus points for cleverly attaching their name to specific bad design! Bloodthirsty

yeh this is the kind of crowd i would expect to be playing a star wars MMO

Well Im sad that it isnt a killer game. Since it was one of my most anticipated games in the last few years. Im not glad it turned out shit, in fact Im pissed as hell.

i thought everyone here saw this coming from miles away.. seemed like the comments were fairly unanimous on how shitty this game would be

This season is shaping up really well which is nice because the show was really hit and miss in the past. This is the first time I feel like it's actually earning some of its success, the writing has improved significantly.

its way better than the last season, almost as brutal as the earliest episodes, what with the rough doggiestyle in between zombie smashing

but i think they could push the main character deaths even more.. keep a nice rotation going so you really get the sense that anyone could bite it at any point - its almost there now but it could be more

Most of the "bombshell" chicks Ive met have also been batshit crazy. I dont suppose they need to be able to think for themselves, since they can get so far by just sitting there and looking pretty. Its like a kind of co-dependency between them and the rest of the world.

So rationalizations that allow you to do what you want are "common sense" while rationalizations that prevent you from doing so are only "rationalizations"?

Common sense says that virtual commodities which only exist on servers run by an outside corporation that could disappear at any time are not "owned". To approach the idea of "ownership" of virtual goods would require some sort of download or local access which is independent of outside control.

it was incredibly silly for them to try to use kickstarter as a hail mary to "save their company".. it shouldnt work that way and im very glad it didnt

i know the fanboys arent happy but life is like that sometimes - also, im sure you will hear from Taylor again at some point

While i dont wear a watch all the time, if its a formal gathering, a nice watch goes well with a nice suit. That said, i wouldnt be caught dead wearing an apple watch regardless of its function, it does not have the possibility to ever be a classy accessory.

what is "classy" for you?

you seem to have some strong opinions on this

Finally started playing Saints Row 3 on Friday.

Man, were they dumb with the plot here.

You were expecting Pride and Prejudice?

No, my problem is that they thought they just give us that so they made a huge, bold move for drama.
But no one wants it to be Pride and Prejudice.

... what?

does this make any sense to someone else around here?

its like some kind of babblefish attempt

its a wearable computer.. not a "watch".. it just has that form factor

its similar to an augmented reality device like the google glasses, but less obtrusive and more stylish (in apple's view).. with no HUD

good comments tho

Still, the point remains good psychology translates into a perfect marketing opportunity.

marketing is applied psychology

why do you think people set prices at 99 rather than 100?

It's jive.

no, its because 99 looks like a smaller number than 100 and people are still impulsive animals - its a marketing trick that has become cliche and rote, but its still a marketing trick.. if they really thought it was pointless, nobody would still be doing it

just because you play at not being an ape, it does not mean you are not an ape

just because you pretend to know whats going on, does not mean that you do
