Better than D3, not even close to PoE. Bought it for my son since it's so easy but enjoying it for now myself.
Unless there's a nifty mod or two that comes out, there won't be more than about 2 weeks of interest at best from your average gamer. |

Having loved everything about TL1, mainly the fact they were new indie and arpg.
I thought the beta of TL2 was pretty crap across the board. Every single aspect screamed lackluster.
For $20 I normally wouldn't even blink if I thought it would be decent, but I'm blinking...
...and waiting. |

Maybe if you define "biggest thing" as "biggest hype from Microsoft".
See I remember converting our 100+ machines from 3.1 to 95, and yes it was an awesome transition. You're better off these days recommending Linux for office use if you can get them to accept it, Win 7 if not -- sure as shit won't be Win8. Linux is an awful suggestion for office use - it does not have Office.
OpenOffice is ok for word processing, especially as Word is garbage, but who uses a word processor anymore? Everything is either email, spreadsheets or powerpoint. Nothing compares to Excel, even half as close, and while PowerPoint has issues it's a miracle when combined with Think-Cell. Made me lol. Looks like someone doesn't work in the industry. |

Only a complete buffon would believe this bullcrap 'movie caused it" spin from Obama and his cronies.
How these guys lie and distort and still have people defend them is beyond me... only the dumbest of dumb I suppose.
Can't wait to vote Obama out, we're sick of it. |

They may have stealth patched that, I'll check tonight -- I haven't logged in a couple days.
It's not a bug, its exactly the way it's supposed to work. It's just a bit too effective if you set it up correctly. It's also twice as fast, forgot to mention that as it's part of the OP'dness.
The Superior fire sigil has a 30% chance per crit to fire (5 second cd), and is an aoe fire damaging all mobs in it's area. It's the edge needed to out dmg warriors for event drops. |

Axis wrote on Sep 14, 2012, 14:08: Yes as I mentioned you throw down the Choking Gas followed by the Cluster bomb and everything in the AOE gets weakness (50% less damage 50% of the time) and lasts about 20 seconds per application on all mobs up to bosses.
It's extremely fast, and does huge dps to boot. Its hands down the most effective mitigation in the game, and one of if not the most useful tool in our belts. Oh score! I didn't know that one either. I'm definitely bringing a shortbow as alt weapon on my Thief as well! Glad to help Sauron!
I mentioned earlier about pre-detonation of cluster bomb, I'll explain it in detail now since it's so OP compared to other thief options in the DPS realm and few know how to make it so it is OP.
When you throw down a cluster bomb, it does 1 hit to every mob in the area and applies 1 condition to each mob and you get 1 health tick per mob hit (malice heal skill).
When you explode early in the middle of a fight it splits into 3 shards. Each shard hits every mob in the area, applies 1 condition to each mob and you get 1 health tick per mob hit.
What this means is you get the same amount of total shard damage, but 3x the amount of conditions, heals, and crit counts for every mob in the area. When you throw on a fire sigil it's wipeout time and only well-timed warriors can beat you for loot drops in PvE.
There's no need to aim, just go in the middle of the mobs and repeatedly hit #2 and you wipe stuff out faster than any other class.
I have a double dagger setup, one with precision and one with power stacks depending on what I'm fighting I'll build 25 stacks of one of them, throw on the shortbow and faceroll everything.
PvE loot work like this: in event mob spawns there's a high percentage of only one drop, it goes to whoever has the highest damage on the mob. With world spawned mobs and dungeons, there's a better percentage for everyone who damages the mob to get a drop. This is so important because it's really the only way to make decent cash, and warriors easily outdo every class most of the time.
So in areas like pertinent and trolls in frost, I found the only way to efficiently play is with shortbow. Just so happens it's also my go-to for pvp - I've found no one else doing what I'm doing, and if I don't get shut down right away I can usually destroy small groups of any mobs or players quickly and efficiently. I usually never go dagger 1v1. So expect a nerf eventually, I've staved it off as long as I can but I'm not playing much anymore so have at it!
Creston, the 5 seconds is on bosses only, and easily maintainable and suggested the entire fight with init ticks.. all other mobs its 20 seconds. Try what I just mentioned, see how much more you enjoy your thief. |

It isn't some mystic rare knowledge. I knew about combos, but I will readily admit I didn't know you could combo with yourself. Though since you'd need to get two skills specifically to line up this one combo, and usually the results last a few seconds, I do wonder if it's really all that useful?
Is this something you could set up by yourself to apply to multiple enemies? If so, then that'd be pretty awesome.
Thanks to Verno and NewMaxx who also linked to the same article(s)!

It isn't some mystic rare knowledge. Yeah exactly. He asked what a combo field was and understanding the basics of that is more important than explaining to him how to create all of his individual class ones in detail. Not like this stuff was super secret hidden info either and even the most fervent players probably haven't memorized them all.
Kudos to Travellian and NewMaxx for the info links without drama. I should have just ignored him off the bat, my bad fellas. Man you just won't quit will ya?

You've earned your permanent ignore little one, hasta la vista Wrong. What's more helpful is saying "choking gas then cluster bomb". that's how you get area weakness.
And please do ignore me, I'd prefer you not respond to me in the future.

Haha good lord you're deluded, it's like Derek Smart meets WoW Raider. I'll be the first person to admit I don't know everything there is to know in the game, you're the buffoon claiming to know everything and be the sole proprietor of information related to the game.
2) I ask "Combo Field? So I need someone else to help?" The wiki has a pretty readable explanation but people have made some handy charts you can print. The basics are pretty easy to grasp though. In this case our resident Confucius is referring mainly to weakness I assume (hes very vague) for the glancing blows, certainly helpful but not essential to group composition. There you go again editing your comment after hurridly reading through posts just to try to act like you know this.
You could have said in 5 words exactly how thiefs do it, but choose not to because you didn't know.

I gave you solid information you had no clue about Verno, and you acted like it was shit and you knew all along.
So who is the asshole? A. The guy giving information people do not know about that could help immensely and says it with confidence? (this is me) B. The guy who acts like he knew it all along and shits on the person giving it? (this is verno) C. Obama.
I choose C, but I'm pretty sure B fits the bill most of the time. But I'm certain B will pick A, such is life!

You won't be doing condition dmg to get event loot kills in pve, especially once a warrior is around. Hell most people don't even know how loot actually works - I do. Any fucktard that listens to GW2 podcasts knows this information...talk about regurgitating lol who wastes their time listening to podcasts except true losers, are fucking kidding me?
