Prices haven't changed for me for the last 15 years. I build a high end system for $800-$1000 every 4-5 years, biding my time on deals and pcpartpicker till I get what I want for the price I want.

Everyone else probably if they aren't thoughtful about expensive purchases.

Great game Disco Dodgeball. New graphics blow but it's solid fun. Could be fantastic, all depends on the developer.

I'm partial to it because it reminds me of my first FPS love "Ballblazer" - yes the actual FIRST first person shooter in my opinion, just bumping/stealing/scoring instead of killing.

wow, those skin shaders, those lips, the eyes, fucking breathtaking.

how can you all watch the same video I just did, and only walk away with: "well, this is dumb, i'm not gonna buy 4x titans to run this? This is stupid, who cares?"

gamers i swear, when will you collectively pull your heads out of your own asses? i'm sure the reaction would be the same if they showed off Mario64 graphics in the NES era. I'm sure everyone would just generally be cunty about it. Rolleyes

Because for veteran gamers like me whose been there since the ti994a, all we give a shit about these days is gameplay & performance.

Show me cutting edge AI or world physics, I'm more interested cause its still infantile in development. But bling hasn't been important or impressive to me for at least 10 years, it's a newer gamer who gets all googly-eyed and excited about it.

Meh, all I care about is pure performance with your average setup, not tech demos on cutting edge quad rigs.

Daredevil is fantastic, nothing else to add.

Yup, it's awesome. About halfway through. Next up: Bloodline.

I've sadly got 1 episode left. So far loving the characters, but Fisk steals the show by far.

Thanks for the Bloodline tip, just added it!

The overall community has spoke and I'm glad they listened.

It didn't bother me either way, but I'm glad to see they did what the community wants.

The bigger problem is the media gives him pass after pass with zero follow-up if they are pressured into reporting it. Bush, the media couldn't wait to pounce and re-pounce.

Obamas "goalposts" are what he expects without compromise or he pens it without approval, or nothing. That's really all there is to his bi-partisanship.

This list of over 1000 Obama bullshits has well more items than I personally would recall, and all well documented.

Every president is a politician and can be expected to stretch the truth. But Obama, man he's the worst kind I've yet to see first hand -- he straight up lies to the nation time and time again and never takes responsibility. I used to like him as a person, obviously many did, but time has proven he's a snake of the worst kind in too many areas.

LOL that poll is hilariously misleading. It is absolutely no surprise that you linked to it.

What really drives this particular poll into the dirt is that Republicans are much more unified in their dislike of Obama than Democrats are in their dislike of any particular GOP president. Mostly because they are racist morons.

There's our Cut/Paste liberal apologetic name calling toddler post. You never disappoint descender, thank you. (I see you keep editing, don't bother man, no one cares what you write).

I'm not one for linking crap, cause nothing beats common sense - but since common sense is gone from so many these days, we have no choice often but to link stuff like this that is from 2014 instead of 2009.

GW has his faults, but Obama just is by far the most disingenuous, dividing, pompous snake I've seen in my lifetime.

That's pretty funny seeing as this the kind of game that is seemingly designed to attract them to begin with. Why not just build the tools in-game to let the players deal with it, mute/ignore functions, vote kick functions, etc.

Fun - building exploding zombies.

Not fun - building tools to deal with griefers.

JD got it right. Many devs simply aren't disciplined enough to focus on the "non-fun" programming - tools, bugs, etc. I can understand of course, but it's bad business.

A lot of people mod for attention/cred so there will always be a free alternative, I can't get worked up over this. Some mods I wouldn't mind paying for anyway (SkyUI for example). Modding has become a bit of a lost art in the industry overall thanks to DLC so whatever encourages more of the practice in my book.

I agree. Nothing about this bothers me as-is, and it'll mature.

Couldn't care less about making sites more mobile friendly. Half the 'm' versions of sites (or even mobile optimized) suck ass compared to the main site version, and I go to the real thing and just scroll/zoom/etc on a smaller device.

Just means I'll avoid google's search if possible. I prefer Bing anyway, google is good for when you know what you want to find, bing is good for oldschool searching and the lesser known (and porn (from what I've heard(because I would never search porn(ever!)))).

Open Source Software Model broken?

I just skimmed the article and the guy who wrote it is a microsoft fanatic who has something against libreoffice and open source in general.

Open source is the reason we have any real windows/apple competition, android, linux, firefox, libre, most of google's library of free incredible softwares, etc.

Open source is the best thing that ever happened in the software world, the alternative would be Apple and MS paten trolling everything imaginable.

So Derrick feel free to stick with your windows phone and expensive bloatware office suite and kick back with microsoft in your pocket, but you don't know jack.

1080p, 144hz/fps, max distance.

That's my target on every fps/tps game, easily achieved with GTA5 -- just menu tweaks and it looks great too.
