Good thing republicans squashed that bill.
Bad thing liberals are promoting Agenda 21 like hotcakes. See ya in chains! |

Having played the beta, I can safely say this is one crappy game.
Installed shelf life of a month, eventually windows reports it as "barely used" a few months later which is decidedly uninstalled.
These guys obviously are using the same marketing technique of Shootmania developers ... |

Maybe now they will all start to switch to openGL, that doesn't have such limitations, and you can use the latest openGL features all the way back to XP, assuming the drivers / hardware support it. It would be nice to see it come full circle, OGL was the only good option back in the clanning days of the 90s. Wasn't until MS decided to have a war with OGL (long after OGL was around) that D3d got 'embedded' in everyone's mind that it was the only thing around. And it went back to 95 |

Operating costs on a AAA game often need to sell millions before the developers even get to make any sort of profit.
Indies, well there's a reason Notch has more money flowing out of his pockets than your average EA backed developer.
The point you made about the amount of computers is totally 100% correct. When I was clanning in 96 and running a giant company's network, almost every one of my users did NOT have a home computer (or a beeper :)), and most of the clanners at quakecons worked in the industry -- and this was only 16 years ago.
So now you know why I'm naturally skeptic about many of self professed experienced gamers who would have been tweens or younger at the time. |

Sure you can just load up an OS and do whatever, but Linux is the enjoyment "build a Frankenstein" part of computing.
You run windows, you command linux.
And I've said it before, this move on valve's part has long been needed with linux - it will surely kickstart what we've all been hoping for for a long long time. |

I have like 30 gold and over 10k of gems (all bought from gold early on when I was getting almost 400 gems for 1 gold.
As I mentioned, I played a TON in GW1 character unlocking and testing builds for pvp - very fun, very engaging. In GW2, I'm waiting for the game to become something other than stale and boring. The ride was fun, but it was just a bus ride - nothing more to see. |

Well since my posts keep getting removed (for what appears to be no reason given the voracity of attacks against me (always expected attacks from libs, just sad), I'll move on -- you guys can just keep patting yourselves on the back and insulting the conservatives.
I'll be listening for your wailing when we fire Obama. |

The actual article: "US officials say placing the Internet under UN control would undermine the freewheeling nature of cyberspace, which promotes open commerce and free expression, and could give a green light for some countries to crack down on dissidents."
The current administration is against it dumbass. I don't give a shit what the current admin thinks, they were a hairs ass away from going all in with SOPA and PIPA, and there were dipshits from both sides supporting it. CONTROL of others is a liberal thing, unless your talking about controls that affect themselves. Republicans have been pushing for crap like SOPA/PIPA for years as well, and these are hardly the only kinds of bullshit laws that both sides push for. Only the die-hard libs won't admit a simple fact (of which you state you aren't):
When you force banks to offer loans to people who cannot pay them back, and the gov't say they'll back them ALL... KABOOM, welcome to America's bust.
Now this was caused by both both parties, but the vast majority of "what caused it" lies in the Gov't guaranteeing bust loans in first place. Read up on it, I did all that years ago. |

Oh I just found it to be enlightening, and sure Im sure someone may have mustered offense to it, but "why" is the real issue since it hardly was offensive.

I've read some pretty hardcore shit here and my post certainly was not one. I suspect it was mostly due to your last paragraph, which, in addition to being incorrect, was also highly offensive. But then you knew that. Interesting, I suppose I could have stated:
This is EXACTLY what Conservatives are; largely educated, government independent, mostly Christian, "work for it myself" mentality, focused on results and not blame, pro life, etc etc, but you get the picture.
I could copy paste 100's of statements against people that truly are inaccurate and offensive, but it's not worth it in a forum when the mods take sides. |
