Really my only concern is that when you're driving a motorcycle at 90mph (or, of more concern to the idea, 60fps) how you're going to be able to target that one tiny box on the side of the alley to hack it? Is there going to be some massive amount of auto-aim involved in that?
I think you just answered your own concern there and didn't even realise it |

This is looking great. Mind you, I thought the game they showed in 2011 also looked great.
I agree the option of being able to switch to first person (whether a constant thing or even only when 'aiming') would be a great addition. But I can also understand why they might not do that. |

This is great news! Hopefully means more focus and effort put into making a good story and characters and a lengthy SP campaign. Much prefer that than a rushed, 6 hour COD style SP campaign + multiplayer.
Bioshock Infintie focused on excellent story/characters and SP and didn't have MP and I absolutely loved it. I just wish more games took this route. |

Geez, most of you guys are so negative. I for one am looking forward to it. Regardless of whether its branded an XCOM game or not, the setting, ideas and what I saw of the gameplay actually looked pretty good.
Hopefully this can lead to a branching off of XCOM so they still make the turn-based-strategy ones (which I'm a fan of as well) as well as the more action oriented real-time-shooter ones like this. |

| Yeah, a spiritual successor to Bloodlines is definitely a cool idea. But focusing on a multiplayer game? That lost me. If they decide to switch it around and make the focus a single-player RPG with multiplayer as a distant stretch goal, then I'd consider backing it. But at the moment, no thanks. |

| Looks pretty good. I was a fan of the the originals and also liked Conviction. This looks like it allows you the best of both worlds - the stealth and non-lethal approach from the first three games and the hardcore action of conviction. |

| And they wonder why people pirate? They've made the answer simple for a lot of Australians which is why the piracy rate here for music, tv/movies and software is so high compared to other countries around the world. And they still cry foul? Idiots. |

I wonder if the delay is to rework the "islands" so they're less-realistic in terms of military installations etc. at the behest of the Greeks, in order to let their guys out?
The Greeks problem with them might be that their game is seemingly (rightly or wrongly) giving away too much info about their islands and military installations - after all that was the main reason the guys from Bohemia were arrested wasn't it? |

Illumin wrote on Dec 12, 2012, 23:42: Who cares if the guy playing him sucked. The game it self looks sweet. Id rather see in game footage than some cut scene. Dont get me wrong, ingame IS better than cutscenes. My point was, why go to the trouble and effort of hiring a film director and hype his involvement in some "cool new 7 episode super trailers" and then just show us ingame footage of some amateur playing the game? It seems to be the opposite of what they're attempting to do?
Either drop the Hollywood directors involvement and give us regular ingame footage trailers, or utilise a film director and show us a 7-episode mini-feature? Get where I'm coming from?

Fion wrote on Dec 12, 2012, 21:41: Wait I'm confused. It's after the aliens attacked. A huge dome has been built over new york (I presume to keep the black gunk from getting out). It's been years and years because the forest has encroached into the city quite significantly and somehow prophet is alive again? I know right? WTF indeed.
Plus this trailer is shit. I was expecting something a bit more cinematic and 'awesome' considering they've gone and got this "Hollywood director" involved, but honestly its crap.
It's mostly just in-game footage of some idiot playing, making "Prophet" look all amateur and missing his targets more times than actually hitting them.
Boring. |

When I heard they were offering Titan Quest and Red Faction Armageddon to the list after I'd already bought it I was like 'bugger'. But now I find out they've added an additional game on top of those other games AND they're all available to those of us who already purchased it? I'm like 'fucking awesome'. That's how the Humble Bundles always work. Have you never bought one before? (if not, you've missed out on an incredible amount of gaming goodness). Nope. First time. Ah well, now I know.
I was under the impression most "Humble Bundles" were just as-is and this adding-additional-games-as-it-goes-on was just something THQ were doing because they're trying to get more and more people to give them "donations".
But if this is a regular tactic all Humble Bundles do, then it seems rather strange. Why not just include all the games at the outset? |

Maybe next year. Another Hidden and Dangerous would be the shit. H&D 2 was fucking awesome! I loved that game.
I was hoping 2K Czech would be working on that next after Mafia 2 (using an upgraded version of the Mafia 2 engine). |
