He's only worried about it because it means they can't fucking snoop on them anymore, the asshole.

It really does sound like he's trying to use the "24" defense for snooping. It's bad enough when a forum lurker uses it.

"AT&T and Verizon defend any and all policies regardless of negative effect on competition, service and the country as a whole"

"In other news AT&T also defended it's policy of attaching cell transmitters to the homeless to expand it's mobile network. The company stated that they were simply utilizing an existing, mobile resource. We reached out to FCC chairman Tom Wheeler for comment but at the time his hands were full carrying a large, heavy sack with a dollar sign on it and he declined to comment.

Even the creators of WOW seem unsure what to do with MMO's post-WOW. Hardly a unique situation though, and I give them credit for not pushing out a substandard product to try to recoup some of the dev costs like other companies would. It would be nice to see some of what they were working on.

And I still think they should revisit Ghost.

That and Valve's development is completely bonkers, one minute they ROLL their tables into developing fucking hats, the next they ROLL over to the STEAMBOX, and when they get bored with the fucking steambox they go back over the HATS section or DOTA2.

That is the most accurate description of Valve development.

I heard they changed from rolling desks to moon shoes and those big bouncy balls you sit on, but close enough.

Pretty much that, exactly. I have to seriously wonder if they understand the extent of the damage they're doing.

I can lend evidence to that. I had some interest in this game but was waiting for it to be finished. I had heard the name Double Fine before but knew little about them (didn't even know they were making this). Now all I know about them is they don't finish the shit that they sell and I don't want anything to do with them. Good job guys.

Meh. Better than people give it credit for but way worse than it should have been.

But the more they release the closer we get to an HD port of Tactics.

Until a year ago I never even used wasd on the keyboard, I always remapped to the arrow keys. Everyone has their quirks.

What about those of us who prefer smaller phones like the iPhone 4? Are we forever without option -- Apple product wise?

Trends are cyclical. Brick phones are coming back baby! With all that extra room you might even get enough battery power to last a week like the good ol flipphones.

I also liked him in Moonrise Kingdom. Wes Anderson makes good use of the man. (I have yet to see Grand Budapest Hotel)

Grand Budapest is good but he has a very small (though appreciated) role in it.

I do love me some Murray.

More than that, it would require an invention (likely actual nanotechnology) that will provide unlimited food, clothes, energy and other basic needs for free. Without it, there's no way to discard a system of barter/trade, and money is simply a standardization of a barter/trade system.

Not to mention instant transportation and the ability to cruise the galaxy in luxury and colonize worlds (and bang their women depending on the show). It's a lot easier to forego money when you have space magic.

I wouldn't expect the NSA to claim anything else. Also why did it take them this long to come out with this? It's been two years since the Snowden revelations.

They hadn't publicly lied about the program for a little while and got twitchy. Gotta keep practicing!

Soo.... for those of you with it, how bad is the lag, where are their servers located, is there any offline version(or ability to run your own server, local or otherwise), or is it completely MMOSS?

Also, full pvp the entire time, safe zones, etc.

I've only noticed lag a couple times (I'm in Canada). No idea where servers are physically located. There is a private online version, and you can switch back and forth between closed and open. No idea if they'll allow custom servers.

It's full PVP with "safe" zones within 10km of (most) space stations. Safe is in quotations because other players can still shoot you but they'll incur the wrath of the system forces and the station, usually fatally. There are conflict arena's with spawning NPC's and other players where you can pick sides and earn credits for kills.

Most of the time you'll be in some kind of hyperspace flight mode with no combat. You can get interdicted by NPC's but these are easy to escape in the current version. There is a bounty system so that "misbehaving" players get flagged and you can earn credits for killing them.

Honestly speaking as a cargo hauler the most thrilling moments are approaching stations in lawless systems. Players will try to steal your cargo (or just plain gank you) so you need to use the various stealth options to get around them. Or trying to smuggle goods into lawful stations and getting around their security.
