I agree with the last bit with one exception. Half-Life 2 requiring Steam was what made Steam so popular. Half-Life 3 being console exclusive to a Steambox MAY do the same.

When Half Life 2 came out literally everyone hated Steam and for good reason. It was only when it evolved past a buggy Launcher/DRM check/Server browser into a PC gaming service that people started to like it.

I too played this at a far too young age and found it hilarious. Might take a look.

And so came to be, Steam Trading Cards became available to everyone, heralding the start of a new Age of Poverty. For whenever such an event has come to pass, it has always foretold the coming of the dreaded Steam Sale, bane to savings accounts everywhere.

Huh, that might explain why my wallet was cowering in a corner this morning.

So I start out at level 10....whatever that means. I need, nay, demand some Final Fantasy style victory music.

You have to download the drivers to install them so why is this an issue in the first place?

This is the first I've heard of this guy. I'm a very calm reserved person but even I'd have the urge to deck the guy if he did that to me.

Firefox 22 is out and on my work machine it has massively inflated everything to look like its made by Fisher Price, and apparently I'm not alone with the problem. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

I worked for DHL for three years, in Holland, back in the 90s. The tracking capabilities of DHL even back then were fine. This idea that "tracking numbers don't start appearing until the item reaches the depot in the destination country" is complete crap, unless DHL somehow became completely retarded in the twenty years since I worked there.
Creston

Speaking from my limited personal experience I've actually seen something like that happen with DHL recently. We had a Canada->US package ship out that we tried to trace, the first tracking info only started at the border customs clearance stage. I dropped DHL as a courier for other reasons but we just didn't have good experience with them.

That will work just fine, though to be honest, getting a 120Hz device is likely overkill, as the console will be locked at 60fps at most.

I got this one to use as the monitor for my PC and it works great (though I had some issues with my Radeon card overscanning at first.)
Creston

Unless somethings changed in the last year or two since I bought my set, that 120Hz (or higher) claim TV manufacturers have only applies to that weird motion smoothing filter that everyone turns off after 5 minutes. The PC/Consoles will likely only see a 60Hz display.

Edit: This site explains it better.

I got to play with one for awhile, the Zune was indeed pretty awesome. It came out WAY too late though and Microsofts weak marketing couldn't dent the Apple juggernaut.

"The possible restructuring comes amid increasing investor pressure on Microsoft, including a recent run-up in its stock and a renewed effort by activist shareholders urging that some level of change take place at Microsoft."

That might have been a good thing to do a few years ago when Microsoft was ignoring the changing market, and before they almost completely abandoned the future to Google/Apple. I'm sure Teflon Ballmer will fix it though Rolleyes

That would be a negatory on my end. Not since Stardock moved their games to Steam.

The shame here is really on Microsoft for not taking care of their own shit and half-assing everything they do.

Oh that is absolutely correct. Yesterday I was trying to load up an unused Surface RT with WMV media files for a trade show my company had a booth at. I figured it would be a good use of an otherwise useless device. I discovered upon testing that it "didn't support that format". A WINDOWS tablet that can't play WINDOWS media files. Pathetic.

Edited with missing file info
