1) Delusions of grandeur. Similar programs have been known to exist since 1997. And there was already a scandal about this in 2006.

2) America is a big country. There are bound to be pissed off people. He put his girlfriend right in the crosshairs and just left her there. This makes sense HOW?

1) Ok. And? Scandals have a double jeopardy clause now? Is that an NSA thing?

2) Apparently he has more faith in the US than you do.

Leaving beautiful girlfriend in a country that can easily use her against him.

Being too good to go through whistleblowing channels already available in the country.

From the article Sepharo posted:

"They had spent decades in the top ranks of the agency, designing and managing the very data-collection systems they say have been turned against Americans. When they became convinced that fundamental constitutional rights were being violated, they complained first to their superiors, then to federal investigators, congressional oversight committees and, finally, to the news media.

To the intelligence community, the trio are villains who compromised what the government classifies as some of its most secret, crucial and successful initiatives. They have been investigated as criminals and forced to give up careers, reputations and friendships built over a lifetime."

So yeah regular channels not much of an option. Besides that though what do you mean by "use her against him"? Until otherwise proven she's committed no crime. Are you saying you think your government will arrest her or harass her simply to use as bait? And you're ok with that?

Exactly.

A power boat with a built in TV, microwave, and blender would be damn cool. Or, it would be if it was an awesome power boat first, and everything else second. If it was an awesome TV but the boat leaked...well...

*incoming XBone sinking ship analogy*

I might be able to whip up an Xbox/Toilet.

Achievement hnnnnnnnnnngg unlocked!

I agree. Give him a fucking cigar - just lace it with cyanide, first.

And the fruits of the govt and the media lay bare, attack the man not the message.

Does looking at animated gifs of soccer(football) players blatantly faking injuries like a drama actor count as watching?

People are blowing the Xbone anti-consumer stuff way out of proportion. For example the mandatory prostate exam via wand attachment is only once a month, not weekly. Damn fanboys.

Anyone get this? What's it like? I dig most 4Xers, but I don't like the insanely deep micromanaging some of that type have...

Because its real-time they kept the game systems fairly simple. I enjoy it quite a bit, watching a massive fleet jump into the gravity well of an occupied world and bombing it back to the stone age is a thrill. The game engine is pretty old though, probably my only negative tick. It still looks pretty good but without multicore support it can lag a lot in long games.

The closer we get to the fabled Holodeck the more doomed as a species we are.

I for one will enjoy the ride immensely.

Been using DuckDuckGo for awhile now. I do miss SOME of the customized results (like say how googling movie times brings up theaters in your area), but otherwise it meets my needs. Happy to see its taking off. Hopefully this NSA flap gets people seriously thinking about their security and privacy (lol right).

Just make everyone stand and snap some ceiling mounted harnesses to them for safety. Attach tubing to them for waste elimination, that saves having to use up valuable money-making space by building bathrooms.

He does have a higher approval rating than congress. Though there are few things I can think of that could possibly have a lower approval, so that doesn't say much.

So... if I read that right, you're basically watching a movie that asks you to press some buttons from time to time and the only difference between nailing it and leaving the controller on a table is the final score?.

Gaming of the future for sure! Basically a dancing game

The return of the Sega CD.

Eh.
By that logic, if Walmart and Best Buy suddenly started carrying every PC game in boxes people would stop using Steam.

No I actually agree with you, PC gamers switched to digital distribution permanently and for good reason. I'm simply saying that comparing Xbox DRM to Steam DRM doesn't work well because the background situation is too different. We had good reasons to switch to a platform that used DRM, console gamers don't.

PCs aren't consoles. Also Steam games are digital, not physical media. Deruka DERR

Also neglects that retail stores ignoring boxed PC games is what caused Steam to take off in the first place. Steam was the answer to a problem, consoles don't have that problem.

Hey, did everyone hear that Gunpoint is out? We were talking about this a few months ago. Has anyone played it yet?

Three times now, great little game. Finding out I can just keep pressing the punch button, the accompanying text and eventual achievement was the funniest thing I've seen in months.

Don't worry we aren't spying on you. However because this is all classified we can't actually tell you what we're doing. We can tell congress but then they're sworn to secrecy, but you guys trust congress right? If you force us to tell you the terrorists will win. So everythings dandy.

Seriously though that is a scary shit ton of data storage.
