No, WE PAY AT&T. First to make the fucking call, and then to hand over the fucking data so we can be spied upon.

Fucking awesome.

Correction!

WE PAY the fucking politicians who pass laws to pay AT&T to hand over the fucking data so we can be spied upon after we pay AT&T to make the fucking call.

Never stand in between a man and his internet porn. Both figuratively and literally.

So they've narrowed it down to a specific gorilla cage at the zoo. Any relation to Ballmer?

Between the great job they did rebuilding 14, the early but cool looking 15, and the strong words coming from their new President regarding rebuilding the company, I am tentatively excite about Square again. I didn't think that would happen.

Im afraid until Snowden returns to the US nothing significant will happen with regards to the developing surveillance state. A Paradigm shift is needed. THe only way for that to happen is for Snowden to return to the US, say his thing in front of a judge and jury and face the gallows. It would take balls of steel, and would probably cost him his life but his martyrdom would get the ball rolling. He sacrificed a lot to get the truth out there, but Im afraid the truth is not enough.

It could also turn into a show trial designed to distract the brainwashed masses into focusing on the man instead of the message. They media already tried to do that and promptly ran out of stuff to cover when he wisely kept fairly quiet. Give them a courtroom though? Hoo boy, they love a courtroom story.

"We're here in the courtroom today Tom. We can confirm that Mr Snowden was only taking sips of water instead of gulps."

"We've brought in our psychology expert to explain how the difference between sips and gulps reflects the psyche, his inner turmoil if you will. Would you elaborate Doctor Shitdigger?"

*brain melts*

I just realized the sad irony that they claim Snowden doesn't count as a whistleblower, yet now they claim the godamned President wasn't even aware of the tapping of world leaders until Snowden leaked it to the press. The logic is so twisted that CERN is researching it looking for black holes

Because our telcos have lobbiests who outright bribe politicians and the FCC, and sue any possible competition.

You forget to mention the "former" telco employees who successfully enter politics, write the laws to benefit their "former" employers, and then get "re-hired" once they leave politics.

Totally legit.
