No privacy is fine as long as there's a robust set of laws and support mechanisms in place to protect people from discrimination. But most countries don't even approach that currently. Sorry but completely disagree. Not having any privacy is NEVER fine, I don't care what laws there are. Privacy is a basic human need. |

| I don't know if you can call a demo disc for a game a "launch" but I remember reading about a serious issue waaaay back with a game demo on one of those CD's you used to get packed in with PC magazines (which one I can't recall). When finished the installer would do a "delete c:*.*" or something retarded like that when it was finished, the developer goofed when they coded the part where it removed the temp files at the end. They had an article about it in the following issue apologizing for the bricked PC's. That takes the cake in my book. |

Most definitely NOT a Kodak moment.
deqer wrote on Mar 11, 2013, 21:24: How is it a loss when technology continues to grow yet Kodak's service doesn't. I mean, who uses printers anymore? It's all digital now. You need to account for that fact, and do the math, and then you'll see it's not really a $1.38 billion loss at all. To quote everyone else, wtf? There are 3 desktop printers and one big copier at my office alone.

If it's not a joke and you actually did this... wow sorry ya had to go to that extreme, but you could also get purple contacts and play Powder for halloween as well. Hmm I'm not so sure about that, Don Cheadle does it so well already. |

I can see why they wouldn't want to invest in an offline single player, it would probably take a sizable amount of time to move the server functions to the client and then bugtest it.
But you know what? Square botched FFXIV and are rebuilding it, Kerberos released Sword of the Stars 2 well before it was even finished and spent the next year patching it (the success of both measures is course debatable). EA has the resources to fix this, no excuses. |

One of two things. Because sunlight suddenly appearing on the horizon would almost appear like a crack in the night sky.
Or ancient ravers doing one last hit as the sun comes up before they call it a night. Many years ago there was a small english village, in that village was a woman named Dawn. She was the town "bicycle" *wink wink*. One night she accidentally fell ass-first in a bucket of bleach and it bleached her rear to a bright white. In the early morning as she performed her "duties" all the men commented on her rear end being as bright as the sun that was just starting to appear. From that day forward the town would joke that the morning sun looked just like the crack of Dawn. |

Here in Saskatchewn we ignore DST and just sit back and watch as the rest of North America slides away by an hour. And that's the ways we likes it dagnabbit.
Although it can be annoying when a TV show is now on an hour earlier and you forgot. But that's what the interwebs are for. |

Saw this comment on twitter, thought it was wonderfully appropriate:
"Just realized the irony that a game focused on building infrastructure is unplayable due to a lack of infrastructure" |

Update via Kotaku via EA forums.
We are continuing to do everything we can to address the server issues. In the meantime, so that we can give you as good an experience as possible, we are in the process of deploying a hotfix to all servers. This includes various improvements and also disables a few non-critical gameplay features (leaderboards, achievements and region filters). Disabling these features will in no way affect your core gameplay experience.
We will continue to let you know as we have more information. We know it has been said before, but we do appreciate your patience as we complete this latest update. Getting you playing is our absolute highest priority.
Disabling online features so that people can just finally log in to play the game. That's a new one to me. |
