SWAT teams are necessary. They are absolutely over-used these days but they are still needed for situations too dangerous for a normally equipped and trained officer.

The SWAT teams are called in expecting a dangerous situation. Normal people panic when the SWAT bust in. Panicked people make bad decisions, officers expecting violence will be in reaction mode. The potential for injury or death is too high. That they both know the danger and intentionally make the deception anyways makes it willful endangerment of life and it requires more than 30 days.

Wait, shit, I just had a brilliant idea. The only team there that appears to be overachieving is the marketing dept, right? Move them to game development! Move the game development team to marketing! Better games with less bullshit advertising.

Thank you for confirming you "over-achieve" expectations. That will be useful information as you try to build hype for every future game.

LOL, I was about to post the same thing. remove their stupid sub and they will be more successful.

Ditto. I'll frequently put a game on hold for 6 months or more, anyone that wants to charge me during that period is someone I won't deal with. I'm not a big MMO fan but I liked the way Guild Wars 2 did it for the short time I played it.

Target is pulling the plug in Canada. They really dropped the ball on that one. 2 billion dollar fuck up and it should have been a cakewalk to succeed.

Noone can successfully pull off opening 133 stores at once. That's just insane. I admire the balls of the guy who signed off on it but the logistics are mind boggling. I feel bad for the poor saps that were in their inventory controls teams. And they aren't going to find a sucker to quickly pawn the stores off to like Zellers did to them. A shame too, they had some unique stuff for sale.

Does anyone even talk about Avatar anymore?
Or did anyone really talk about it after seeing it?

The tech was cool, though after 15 minutes you forgot it was in 3D, but the plot was so forgettable you stopped thinking about the film before the credits finished rolling.

What was the plot again? Gargamel something something mcguffin hidden under trees? I recall the weird tentacle hair stuff but if Cameron wants more of that Japan's already got that industry locked.

Is there anyone who wants to see three more Avatar movies other than Cameron? I don't know of any.

Lot's of rationalization on their end but all I hear is:

"We think skins are worth $15 (or more) before they're even finished and we're going to sell them to you when noone can test and confirm differently. Because certain people make poor decisions with small sums of money and because fuck you, that's why."

4. Re: Alien: Isolation Safe Haven DLC Released Jan 13, 2015, 16:28 NegaDeath

I'd love to see a multiplayer version of this game. No guns like AvP or a horde mode or anything like that but a horror based hide and seek. Just like the first movie you start with a small crew and the last one standing gets the Ripley award. Alien can't be killed, same items as the story mode. Human players could work together to set traps and buy time or they could cripple each other to act as a distraction. The best way to escape a bear is to trip your friend, etc. Re-use the maps from the campaign as they're already built for stealth and save costs.

"The Evolve PC Monster Race Edition contains $131.88 of content for $99.99"

Apparently we have very different definitions for values of things.

It was bad enough when the season pass concept was introduced. Now there's a Deluxe Super Turbo season pass on top of that? Are we really going this way now? Christ.

I was going to say freemium Age of Empires too but they already did that and shut it down after 2 years. But then again that was not locked into a Microsoft store or console. *Gasp* the horror! Time for a do-over.

Freemium Age of Empires 2 Online - Windows 8 Store and XBone exclusive. Requires Kinect for some godamn reason, hell if we know why. And because it's on "PC" we can release our yearly bogus update on how we love PC gaming. Ship it!

It seems that with the latest gen consoles that the requirements on the PC side of things has increased to a much larger extent than it did in previous console generations. Is this due to porting made easier now that they all run on x86 architecture and are able to throw more at the PC side of things rather than developing for the lowest common denominator?

Both the Bone and the PS4 have 8GB of Ram, minus what is used up for the respective OS's. It's to be expected that PC games with multi-platform releases will have similar requirements. Considering the previous gen only had 0.5Gb of Ram a big jump in Ram requirements was expected and overdue. If anything the similar PC architecture with the current consoles would reduce the odds of PC ports needing more hardware than it should. Key word being "should" *coughUbicough*.

If it's anything like my Walkman, about $1100 less than the one in the story, the battery won't last for shit (2 days when the device is turned off) and the headphones will have wire problems if used during any activity other than sitting.

I've had good luck with my old walkman. The battery in it lasts about 2 weeks with my usage (average 2-3 hours a day). It's pretty old and starting to get glitchy so I was looking for a replacement, at $1200 this ain't it. But then I'm clearly not the customer they're targeting.

As much trouble Ubi has had recently this is a series with potential for a great conversion to cinema. Sci-fi, fantasy, prominent historical figures, swordfighting, drama and delicious dual handed backstabbing. It's got it all. Hopefully Ezio is more of the character inspiration than all the rest.

I still use a sound card as it sounds better than my onboard and has better sound separation. But if you do buy one don't go Creative. Ever. They don't deserve the business.

As a fan of Turok 1 &2 on the N64 I like the idea of dinosaurs in the jungle. If Jurassic Park was more your thing this will give you your clever girl moment too. And fuck it, if you can ride an elephant you can ride a T-Rex. Screw being serious, have some fun.

So they've gone from providing "incorrect" evidence like during the Iraq war, to basically being Jack Nicholson in a Few Good Men? We can't handle the truth? Only difference being noone gets arrested.
