It's interesting in that article comments that the pro-vaxxers all throw down links to studies, and the anti-vaxxers don't. I think that tells you all you need to know.

It's difficult to make scientific and mathematical arguments to someone who is making emotional decisions with little understanding of the background. They present facts that they copy-paste from skeptic sites but they don't really understand what they mean, it's just technobabble. I've had discussion with people who thought vaccines were a drug, or that it weakens and replaces the natural immune system. Skepticism can be healthy thing but you can tell what classes in high school they skipped entirely.

This is one case where to me the movies and books are better than the actual game that spawned them. I haven't bought a RE game since around the third one in. Tried the demo of RE5 and hated it.

Like the books and movies though.

You might like 4. 5 was widely considered disappointing while 4 was one of the best games of that console gen.

I love me some RE4, and I mean really love, but that is about as HD as those cheap "HD" sunglasses you see in stores.

Agreed, those scenes should all have been skippable. Or at least introduce some variation. That "Kenways Fleet" minigame shouldn't make you sit through every single slow fight either.

I'd also reduce the number of meaningless little bobbins strewn about and concentrate it into fewer but bigger bonuses that seem worth the effort.

What use are these fucking documents when the most important information, like who is being investigated, for what reason, and why is [REDACTED]?????!!!

While that's true you need to remember that [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], not to mention [REDACTED]. So in summary [REDACTED]. I hope that clears things up.

Nintendo releases Virtual Console games on it's own platforms at a glacial pace as it is, I doubt adding 1 or 2 more platforms will help out. They really seem tapped out development-wise.

Someone, somewhere will use it to make a chocolate dutch wife. She will be named Chocolina and he will love her deeply. One tragic day during the record breaking heat wave of 2023 she will melt away in his arms. The man will weep as he dutifully eats the remains while simultaneously fending off the hungry neighborhood children.

Just have a headset without a microphone. Problem solved.

Edit: Oh, sp games. I thought mp. Anyway, it "gently lowers the difficulty" because God forbid games give ANY kind of challenge anymore. Every game must be the power-trip fantasy where you never die and just "PRESS X TO BE AWESOME!". Rolleyes

Pressing buttons is too exhausting. Future Xbone games will use the Kinect to allow winning by blinking. If audible enough a fart will take you right to the ending. Then of course there are achievements.

So Steam should die too? If you enable cloud saves on Steamworks games, your save files are placed in Steam's userdata directory. When you disable cloud saving the game stores the saves in the typical places (either your documents directory, the game's directory).

I never had GFWL "eat" save files for either Fallout 3 or GTA IV. GFWL was set to offline and the save files for those games were stored in the My Documents directory, not GFWL's directory. Steam has been known to "eat" save files too, which is why I disabled Steam cloud completely. When I tried to start a new game of DXHR, after quitting it would delete my new game's saves and re-download my old game saves from the cloud every time.

It's not the same as it functions differently. I can disable steam cloud and continue my save game with no issues. In GFWL if you start a game with an online profile you have to hack it if you want to play offline since it takes the douche step of encrypting the file. eSteamworks is there for convenience, GFWL is there to protect a useless gamerscore on an entirely different platform. There simply is no comparison between the two, GFWL earned it's hate. The service being shut down is a boon to the PC.

Steam prompts you to choose between local and cloud saves if there's a discrepancy.

You never had GFWL eat save games, huge amounts of people have.

Don't let little things like a lack of facts stop you from speculating. The more you guys try to shift the story the worse you look.

You probably used an online GFWL account. You do realize you can create an offline account and NEVER have to connect to GFWL. The save files are then stored in the game's directory instead of in the GFWL cloud save and buried somewhere in the appdata GFWL directory structure.

Here's the thing though, that's a stupid fucking feature. A platform that has different save files between online and offline modes deserves to die.

And it doesn't solve the issue of GFWL eating save files between play sessions.

I can't believe how unprepared Nintendo was for this gen. They have that huge pile of cash they built up with the Wii and DS, they had years to plan and beef up their development teams, they had years to talk to other devs to learn how to manage the jump to 360/PS3 level graphics and networking. There really is no excuse for being so technologically backward at this point. I still enjoy Nintendo stuff but they've earned these lumps, hopefully it forces some internal changes. And yet they're firing on all cylinders with the 3DS, it's almost like two different companies.

Yeah, that's exactly why I bought a PS4 was because the animation was better than the Wii U.

What the hell kind of weird ass comparison is that!? I've never heard a single person say jack about animations in regards to the new consoles or new GPUs.

It's probably just a weird way of referring to the graphics in general.

Since when does you failing to back up save files qualify something as DRM? That happens with games from GOG, too... Too bad they weren't using Steam Cloud. :p

He's probably referring to GFWL's notorious ability to eat save files. Happened to me as well on Arkham Asylum and Bioshock 2.

This wasn't going to be anything like Jedi Knight/Dark Forces, I think I read somewhere the devs coined it "Gears of Star Wars".

Looked to me more like "Uncharted Wars", but I guess this speculation is pointless since it appears to be dead. Shame too, the concept was at least interesting and it had a good looking engine.

The FCC couldn't even properly classify what kind of utility the internet is, which led to this mess. And that was the easy part. They expect us to believe they'll regulate it properly with the monopolies calling the shots behind the scenes? If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you. With neon lights, laser powered toll booths and magnetic acceleration strips.
