For a short time a season pass was supposed to include all DLC. Now cosmetic content is released outside it. How long until more serious content is split off into multiple season packs? Season pack 1, season pack 2, etc?

Crap, I think an executive somewhere read that and got a boner. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

Late SNES/N64 era Rare was awesome for the time. If these "veterans" from that period can recapture some of the magic it might be interesting.

I guess I'm fortunate my TV is old enough to not support microphone monitoring and ads while still being new enough to do everything I need (don't break!). Seems like there's an opportunity for someone here to sell a TV without stupid shit like this and make it a selling point.

Edit: Without having to resort to disabling the net connection entirely I mean.

You know the committee that designed it spent roughly 10 minutes checking off boxes before they called it "done" and went to lunch.

Woah woah hold on there. You forgot the 30 minutes of planning the future DLC packs. THEN they go to lunch.

Everything that needs to be said about the man has been said since, what, Black & White? Great ideas but poor execution.

At least the show isn't shutting down like with Colbert. Too much shit going on and being ignored to lose both of them.

Benefit of the doubt isn't something you ask for AFTER you get caught red handed. But I guess the same rules don't apply to politicians.

Launch trailer is a preorder bonus for the Monster Edition. Purchasable at launch for $15, a $500 value! But in order to avoid splitting the userbase we allow other gamers to watch you watching the trailer. We're nice that way.

“2K and Turtle Rock Studios did a remarkable job delivering such a creative and ambitious DLC delivery system,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “Evolve is a profitable and highly segmented experience that will define our bank accounts for years to come.”

The version skip from Windows 8.1 to 10 was successful in focus groups that thought the number jump indicated "better value". So they're doubling down and skipping versions 11 through 364 next time. Windows 6188 to follow in late 2019.

If the special interests can't win outright they'll sneak in provisions that make the regulations useless in practice. It'll give the politicians their photo-op to trick voters into thinking they're doing their job but little else. It ain't over til it's over.

I can see this being useful for gamers with certain disabilities. In that sense I applaud the development. I could see it maybe being useful in something like Elite or Star Citizen (new stretch goal!) where you could use your eyes to select target locks and maybe activate some HUD commands. I just don't see the point to use it in AC. It seems like it would restrict our natural tendency to inspect a scene forcing us to only look where we want to go. Hiding in the bushes waiting for a patrol to pass? Don't look at that pretty fountain to the left with the nice water shader, you'll expose yourself. Weird.

I know this one is supposed to be superior to the last one, in gameplay terms anyways, but the last one just f'ing came out. I don't feel like giving money to these guys anymore. I'm burned out on this series, maybe permanently. Too many games, too little improvement.

Unedited comment.

"Controversy, generally, is a good thing.

Upcharging suckers on skins and multiple tiers of the same product to make more money is even better."

Any job that a robot can do isn't a job worth doing by a human anyway.

Oh sure say that now but sex androids will be here and take the fun out of the bedroom eventually.

Though there'd probably be a model for both genders... Thinking2

Never mind.

Even the "companion app" has microtransactions. As if all the high priced dlc packages wasn't bad enough.

If you compete with other companies then you are by definition not a monopoly...;)

Except it isn't competition. They're fighting over regional monopolies in a way that does absolutely no good for consumers. Saying there are 3 or 4 big carriers sounds sufficient, but only if you ignore the fact that the majority of people have access to at best 2 of them. A third of the population only have access to one. The merger would have guaranteed less choice, your scenario of them shutting down in the future is fictional, the only reasonable choice based on evidence was taken.

As if the Liberals would act any differently with their leader who was chosen based on his name rather than any merit. All politicians are corrupt and this isn't going to change no matter who is there.

You're right they probably wouldn't, the difference between the two is basically limited to a few social differences. There are other parties of course but the big two have played the fear card well enough to keep people voting for the devil they know.
