Well, I'm going to watch pairs figure skating, because you never know when someone is going to attempt the Iron Lotus technique. (NSFW)

Judging by the overall condition of these games the skaters may need to outrun human eating wild dogs. We'll call it motivation.

If it was a regular pay to play game without bullshit gems or delays I might have given them my money (pending reviews of course). But not only do I want nothing to do with this but it just adds to the "never buy anything with an EA logo" pile. And if Simcity is a guide they'll eventually relax the paywall restrictions and by the time they make any serious progress everyone will have moved on. So yeah, good job EA.

But they will. Because they want to. And people like you are gonna have to shut up and live with it.

Not necessarily. The city of Berne held a referendum on hosting the 2010 summer games, the people didn't want to pay the exorbitant cost and the committee was forced to withdraw their bid. With the way the costs are skyrocketing to host these things more cities would be wise to follow their approach, if only to keep from torpedoing their budget like so many before them. I bet if Greek voters had a time machine they'd go back and cancel the Athens bid.

I think I'll just continue to flush the paper down, with no issues.

Don't worry, not all of the rooms have toilet paper anyways. Problem solved!

And if the poor soul has to resort to...unconventional means to wipe themselves they can sterilize their hands in the yellow poison water.

Shut up you guys! It's rustic and cultural and stuff.

I don't find Uplay too intrusive. I kinda like their idea of winning points via achievements that lets you unlock goodies in both the game you are playing and other games you own (though one could argue that content should be included by default). I'd love to see other platforms embrace that, it's one of the few ways I'd ever care about achievements. Otherwise it doesn't really bring much to the table so in this case the less stuff between me and the game the better.

I'd like to see if Skinny Puppy gets paid. If not, then the government obviously thinks that per-play performances are NOT required to be paid for, and the music industry isn't going to stand for that.

Do as we say, not as we do.

I have to echo the previous sentiments. Classic PC game, PC gamers begging for an updated PC release for over a decade. So obviously a freemium mobile game is the way to go! It's like they want to keep winning that worst company award every year. Maybe next they'll do the same to Tie Fighter. "$2 for shield refill. $5 to summon Lord Vader!".

...

I'm just kidding around EA don't do that last thing.

Good deal, microsoft. Take out the blu-ray drive, but keep that fucking Kinect in the box! That'll make an enticing option for people!

Is there literally not a single person with common sense in that company?

I guess you won't be interested in the bundle with TWO Kinects then.

They wanted to shoot me making games on local TV. I couldn't resist.

Literally how every idiot on TV shows use computers, that's great. It's too bad he couldn't get a ridiculous, futuristic style user interface into the shot and start waving his hands in the air to simulate mouse clicks.

Maybe work in some ridiculous CSI style "Zoom and enhance!" shots too, get the whole gamut in there.

Note that they're taking a pay cut for four months. This isn't some "we fucked up, we're going with half from now on."

To be fair this isn't the first time they've had pay cuts. they do seem to take employee performance seriously. At least compared to what we have over here anyways.

Why hasn't anyone made another one? There were those console games but they were nothing like the Jedi Knight games. /sigh

The answer is/was Lucasarts, upper management didn't want to revisit old series according to former devs that worked there.

Anyways Galaxies was a cool concept wrapped up in terrible development. I'd love to see someone take another stab at it's sandbox style gameplay (pre-NGE).
