News Comments > Ships Ahoy - PPC Skyrim Dawnguard
31. Re: Ships Ahoy - PPC Skyrim Dawnguard Aug 7, 2012, 03:25 Quinn

The complaint that this DLC is too expensive because it's relatively tiny compared to the epicness of the original game... is about the largest bullshit I've heard in quite a while on this page.

According to those complainers' logic, a company is basically being punished for releasing a huge.. HUGE game.

Lets turn the complaint around: I think that, compared to the 10 hour entertainment you get out most $60,- games these days, Skyrim should've been prized at least $230,-.

There's ALWAYS something to moan about with most of the Bluesnews members. What a pathetic bunch, hiding behind smart-ass demeanors. I'm sorry, but it's really sad at points.

Beamer, I now of this moment labeled you as a shortsighted bigot. Congratulations.

I didn't at all say nor imply what you just pretended I said. If that's how you wanna read it, go ahead.

You're one of the things that's severely wrong with the world today.

edit/add: Indeed, you're the bigot. So very intolerable -- insulting people -- the very moment they express a harmless opinion that can only be interpreted harmful when you desperately, and quite prejudicely so, search for it. Reverse discrimination ftw.

Oh come on, stop acting like a bunch of self-righteous assholes.

I said two important things in my last post:

1. I'm not a racist;
2. I admitted I don't know why I have an immersion issue with playing a black guy.

But because of point 1, it's simply dumb to assume I'm still a racist anyway. Because I don't know why I have an immersion problem, doesn't mean I don't know whether I'm a racist or not. I know for certain I'm not. Period.

I can now start guessing a bit to answer point 2, but I won't. I don't like playing a black guy just as much as I don't like playing a woman. Does that now make me a racist AND a misogynist? Jesus, guys... go easy on me T_T

I'm gonna try the game, but I think I'll have an immersion problem because you play as an african american. Go shout "racist!" but that's not it -- AT ALL! What's it then? Well, can't put my finger on it...

I envy you for still wanting a SP DLC, Jerykk. Shepard died, the ME universe I knew and loved changed to a point it's no lpnger recognizable and nothing I can do about it anyway. The EC DLC did nothing but spit on ME's grave.

If it was up to me, the world would never again talk about ME or create anything of ME. I'd let it get forgotten asap.

7. Re: Max Payne 3 Double XP Weekend Jul 6, 2012, 15:47 Quinn

I envy the people who found the Max Payne feeling back in this game. I didn't. I had to remind myself the entire time this was the same person I loved so much in MP1&2 and that it was truly MP3 I was playing.

Honestly, though, to sound like the rude asshole I can be... I think those people are kinnnnda full of crap. They loved Max Payne, the loved this game too.. and because the gameplay was similar they can relate it back to the earlier games and actually give Rockstar the false credits that they managed to keep the soul of the original in this game. To me... Rockstar made another lame gang-bang story to appeal to the new-age kids who wanna be the coolest of da hood, yo.

As for Max Payne's MP... I personally can't handle that much testosteron. "He killed you twice! Hit V to fuck him up! Ahh too bad, he fucked you up again and now he feels like the coolest in da hood, yo!" Well fuck you. Like I said.. can't handle that type of bs. Too old for it.

Overall? Max Payne 3 is forgettable. So very.. very forgettable. Such a shame..

News Comments > More Mass Effect 3 DLC Details?
67. Re: More Mass Effect 3 DLC Details? Jul 5, 2012, 18:15 Quinn

Whatever happened.. Bioware managed to time-travel back into the past and destroy a saga that was once one of the greatest ever created, with that fucking ending. It's like they sat at a table together and asked "How shall we fuck this saga so hard in the face it'll end up FUBAR?"

1. We include a smart-ass Deus Ex Machina that somehow manages to contradict itself in the few pathetic lines we give it;
2. Shepard will accept the donky shit coming out of said deus ex machina's mouth;
3. Shepard will die, no matter the fuck what. Gamers will hate this because it spits in the entire series' face that the gamer can't do anything about his death, but we'll just claim that every grand hero should just.. well, fucking die?;
4. Once we've officially turned the saga into crap by following the above 3 ideas, we'll release a nonsubstantial bullshit DLC that'll smear said shit out on the saga's raped face some more.

Yeah! Lets do that!

Bioware

68. Re: EA to "Be a 100% Digital Company, Period" Jul 4, 2012, 01:47 Quinn

Apart from investing money into a game through its developer, publishers were also important because they had the money to.. well, publish the tons of DVD's. Right? If EA stops doing that and goes all digital, isn't it better for developers to find their investors somewhere else and do the digital distribution themselves and indeed let hardcopies slide?

I'm obviously don't know more than the basic basics of this world o' business, so I'm sorry if I somehow only make sense to myself..

65. Re: More Mass Effect 3 DLC Details? Jul 1, 2012, 18:01 Quinn

I tried so very, very hard to replay that last portion of the game to see this EC.. but I just couldn't. I truly hate Mass Effect now. This is a feeling I cannot help.

I ended up alt-F4'ing out of the game and look the endings up on youtube. But I didn't get past the first one I checked: Synthesis. I checked that one first because I thought it was the worst of all endings, with Shepard basically doing what Saren and the Reapers wanted all along. Instead, I watched an ending that made me want to point at my screen and laugh. It was so fucking ridiculous! EDI was narrating it, basically explaining how perfect Shep's decision was to merge robots with organics. Suddenly all living beings had green glowing eyes and were playing golf with the Reapers. What. The. Fuck?!

I didn't bother watching the other endings.

Mass Effect is dead to me.
Bioware is dead to me.
This EC was insult to injury.

Things feel "off" in the gameplay. That "off" feeling either low-budget or just crap games can have.

Like I said in another post, the combat has one "revolutionary" feature I think. When you pull off a headshot, the game slows down a bit for half a second to a second. This gives a skilled player enough time to line up another headshot, which can put you in a chain of headshot slo-mo's. I liked that one thing very much.

Try the demo..

Liking America's history, AC3 excited me. It made me doubt my decision to mark Revelations as *same old boring shit* a few months ago after I played it for 2 hours back then.

So, I started it up again. Open-minded; maybe even positively biased. I'm 3 or 4 hours in now... but holy crap that shit is boring. I don't think I'll be able to start Revelations up again. New feature: bombs, that you have to assemble through an unfriendly mechanism. Who cares about new combat abilities when you can annihilate an entire city on your own?

Revelations didn't make me more excited for AC3. It did the exact, EXACT opposite.

Managed to try the demo. The game's not that good.

What I did like.. and almost find "revolutionary".. is the slight, half a second slo-mo you get when you shoot someone in the head. It gives you the time to line up the next headshot. Very nice.

Hey Jerykk. Yeah, I played Singularity and I hated it. Almost finished it, even.

The trailer matter-of-factly made my mind jump to Singularity. Why? I watched it again just now and it's because of his left hand controlling time itself. I don't remember in fine details what Singularity had, but it certainly was a gauntlet on the left hand controlling time in a similar fashion.

I'm gonna pass on this game entirely. I somehow knew that already during the teaser.

V for Vendetta meets Singularity. Somehow that concoctions doesn't work with me.

46. Re: Max Payne 3 Sales Pale Versus L.A. Noire Jun 18, 2012, 01:39 Quinn

People can claim that this game still has the "noir" in it, but then let me argue that it wasn't just the "noir" that made Max Payne Max Payne.

Not a single moment in MP3 did I feel like I was playing the same protagonist I was in the first 2 games. EXCEPT during those few flashbacks where Max was back New Jersey. Why they chose Sao Paulo for MP3 is still very.. very much beyond me. They could've called this game "They Stole My Kidney" instead.

Let the sales be the proof that not even Roclstar can take a franchise and rape it beyond recognition. Like I said before, a Southpark episode should be made of this. But then, we already have one of those about indiana Jones...

I like the title. I like what it infers. It has a dark Orwellian/Pink Floyd ring to it.

Agreed. I think the title is great. Quite possibly my favorite game title ever. It has a degree of subtlety that you don't often see from games.

I didn't mean to imply the title isn't great ^^ I just meant to say it made me laugh.

Man! Can't wait for this!
