I love all the "Man, national security is such a fucking farce! We should, like, totally return to anarchy, man!" rhetoric from people. They're the first to cry when something happens to them.
But hey, it's easy to bitch at something on the Internet.

Yes, everyone should happily tow the party line and wholly accept the loving embrace of the police state. I mean wtf are they even thinking? |

Sometimes it's sold to the second highest bidder! They mostly come out at night. Mostly... |

Mordecai Walfish wrote on Jul 30, 2012, 17:19: Just got a message on firefox telling me the uplay plugin would be disabled because of security reasons, with this information linked:
Ubisoft Uplay has been blocked for your protection.
Why was it blocked? Version 1.0.0.0 of the Ubisoft Uplay plugin has a security vulnerability that can be exploited by malicious websites to gain control of the user's system.
Who is affected? All Firefox users who have this plugin installed.
What does this mean? Users are strongly encouraged to disable the problematic add-on or plugin, but may choose to continue using it if they accept the risks described.
When Mozilla becomes aware of add-ons, plugins, or other third-party software that seriously compromises Firefox security, stability, or performance and meets certain criteria, the software may be blocked from general use. For more information, please read this support article.
Blocked on July 30, 2012. View block request. Firefox FTW. I really cannot imagine myself using any other browser, ever. They all suck rotten dog cocks in hell. |

Meh.
Hands up everyone that wants to be hunched over a table for hours at a time...
It's not like table top games are new. It's just that most people hate them. Gimmick fail. Cheap touch screen monitors OTOH...prolly still a gimmick. lol |

I'm already boycotting them, feel like I need to escalate now, but how. lol Actively pirate them? Make a bunch of of real looking "Assassin Creed: Brotherhood" CDs with pirated versions on them and leave them lying around at playgrounds, subways, internet cafes, Starbucks. Yeah that's the thing. I've looked at their crap on a certain 'privateer' website and I don't even want their crap for free. Guess I'm just not that bored. heh

PHJF wrote on Jul 26, 2012, 22:04: Unless I'm sorely mistaken, the last stand mechanic was in singleplayer as well... In almost any case, the best offense was to simply run straight at whatever you were attacking. If it downed you, you would kill it and revive with full shields. Borderlands was most definitely not your modern "chesthighwalls" shooter. You would also regen health and armor if you just backed off....you know...REGEN HEALTH. Just like I said. Health regen was not a natural ability. It required a shield with that stat built in. |

DICE and Crytek both somehow got infected with stupid.
They give us huge landscapes to play their sandbox style games, then they take it away and expect people to be happy about it... |

I haven't run the "hardware" survey since they started scanning for apps. I can imagine there are probably many others who do the same.
I have no problem giving up hardware stats, but stay the fuck out of my software you 12 cheeseburger eating motherfucker. |

Until they make a stand against cheaters, there is no point in bothering. Rampant cheating? You're one of those guys who gets mad when he gets killed and doesn't know why? Are you an idiot? Wait, you already answered positive with the reply above.
As a friend once said, only retards can't seem to see that BF3 is the game with the most rampant cheating ever or at least very close to ever. I've seen plenty in BF3, tho I feel like when I was playing CoD:MW2 that I saw a FUCK of a lot more, and it wasn't just aimbots and wallhacks, but way more rude with altered EXP per kill, throwing your progression out the window. |
