...and steam died.

Oh wait, it's alive again...

oh nice. The CsG beta turned into official version, no d/l required. Kept all achievements as well.

I guess you guys have never needed to transfer an extremely large file to someone that isn't tech savvy. DropBox is the easiest way.

Or you've never had some files you've known you may need access to sometime, like a video or some pictures or whathaveyou, and figured uploading it somewhere free is a decent idea just in case.

And they're free to read my files, if they want. If DropBox wants to hire a few hundred thousand people to look at everything I upload, so be it. They can see videos of my friends getting kicked out of a bar, or read the incredibly long proposal I just made to move more of our production to our East Coast factory. Go for it, dudes, it damn near put me to sleep and I made the thing.

Anything so personal I'd be ashamed if my neighbors saw it? Not going there.
Anything I can't afford to lose? Not going just there.
Anything I need to send to someone but is beyond the email limits? Dropbox!
Anything I may want to show someone some time but I'm not nerdy enough to carry around a USB stick everywhere I go? Dropbox!

Luddites.

Yeah that's great until the USgov(and it's corporate handlers) decide to give Dropbox the 'Megaupload treatment'.

What we really need is Futurama's suicide booths. Your choice of quick, slow, painless, agonizing, and the added bonus of someone making a profit off of it. ;P

Oddly enough, after laughing at this statement, I found I was completely OK with the real world implementation of suicide booths. Maybe "OK" is the wrong word. Curious as to what the repercussions of such a venture would be is perhaps more accurate.

EDIT: That brief period of curiosity led, as always, to Wikipedia

With the overpopulation and resource shortages only getting worse every day forget suicide booths soon we'll need Carousel from Logan's Run.

That is such a load of shit. There are no shortages other than intentional ones. It says a lot that you believe this.

My approval of the "cloud" is simple. Game saves and settings. THAT IS ALL! Everything else can fuck off and die.

If you're not already on failbook, you better get on it or the Government is going to put you on the watch list!

I laughed so fucking hard at that article. They should watch me. They might actually learn something.

I'd get them if the were Lego, but MB has poor quality.

Blizzard couldn't afford the Lego license. They had to live on ramen and kool-aid for 5 months just to afford the MB deal...

Well after complaining on the official forums and being banned....I have to say... STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THIS GAME!

Really, you will be hard pressed to find another more buggy PIECE OF SHIT than Dayz.

Eurotrash like to think they are AAA+++ but reality says otherwise.

Some disturbing news about 1.04. It looks like Legendaries will be Bind on Equip, I hope thats fake news as I wont be playing anymore if they implement that shit.

That would not surprise me at all. Blizzard is right there with the "fun is a premium" crowd.

So many IP zombies walking around these days...it's fucking disgusting.

What an awesome way to put it. IP zombies. Like Metal of Honor, Call of Duty, Dungeon Siege, Flashpoint, etc. Sad.

Thanks.

It really says it tho. It's just like music. You take a band, then replace all the members. It's no longer the same band. Consequences will never be the same!

I admit I caved and grabbed CS:GO. It was the TF2 AWP that pushed me over the edge even tho I barely play TF2 anymore.

It's merely ok tho. There are very few maps. The player models are either love/hate. (the terrorist headgear on dust is fucking lol)

I had an itch for old school shit, this sorta scratches it. Hopefully more maps are added....

edit: ahh yeah. ex-blizzard guy. I kinda glossed over that part. Leaving it anyway.

That Starship Troopers thing is not bad actually. I've seen the whole thing, and it's deff better than the sequels though it does have a weird asian feel to it. Seeing the credits explains why this is.

How does it compare to the Paul Verhoven original? That one has the somewhat unusual distinction of skewering the Sci-fi action genre while also being an entry into it. It's one of the greatest B movies ever made. Also, the original is on Netflix streaming.

It's a different style, tho it's the same universe. It feels like you're watching a video game. It's nothing stellar, but worth a viewing I'd say.
