News Comments > Sony Player Studio; EverQuest; & EverQuest II Expansions Announced

I sometimes miss EQ2 but never enough to go back there. Every time the announce an update I feel I should go have a look see but the idea of jumping into a game which has had 6 expansions since I last played is daunting.

The MMO world has moved on a lot since EQ launched but the problem is these are simply expansions - it's not like the combat or general quest style has changed in the interim.
I feel the same way with EQ. I still love the game, but when I'm going to be 32 levels and about 10 expansions behind everyone, it makes for a tough hill to climb.

Yup. Spend your time on this F2P game, and be deceived until the very end when you reach max level and then begin to realize that you need to buy items to enjoy the game.

Ahhhhhh, yes, you gotta love them companies and their F2P games...
I haven't spent a dime on this game in three years, so I have zero idea what the hell you're crying about. Here, have a tissue.

Yes, Blue, you're a VIP when they want your money. Otherwise, you're scum, like everyone else.

And the Japanese can tell the entertainment industry "go fuck yourselves. This is Japan, not the US." If they want to make another enemy out of Japan, like they did China, they're doing the right thing.

No one saw this coming? Another reason why I'll never use it. If you want to trade, fine. If not, then I don't need what you have as badly as you need what I have.

At least you'll have fireworks. Not in Colorado. We've already had enough natural ones this summer.

Find one in Russia, see if the Justice Department has the balls to try it on anyone there. I know of two.

Very good article on Winamp. I still use it over anything else, but I remember the problems it was having when AOL got involved.

Yeah, weppoisoned the well by sticking up for our rights. See what their thought process is, folks? If it's not what they think is right, it's bad for for everyone. Look beyond the mud and see the lies, people. Vote 'em all out!

Watch it be something completely underwhelming, like an Aqua Teen Hunger Force game.

It'd be cool if they could weave some story arcs into stuff. Anyway, sitll waiting for my key!

In before that one weird guy who in three years has only posted about 30 times to rag on CCP.

But... five years ago they gave some blueprints to an alliance that no longer exists, in a scandal that everyone's forgotten about. If that's not worth a multi-year forum crusade, what is?

Don't think we've forgotten about that. Not a chance.

Yep, our states can't manage money, nor can our federal government, so what's the solution? Taxes! It's amazing how we pay more in taxes than Great Britain. You know, the same country we fought to be free from, for "excessive taxation without representation", among a laundry list of other things?

Love to see how many employers pull random drug tests out of their pocket for these potheads on 4/21. I know mine was planning on it, and I'll guarantee that we lose at least 2 people for it.
