I picked up the game a few sales back, but I was told the scene could be extremely vitriolic, so I never even went online with it.
You're missing out.

Out of my 600 hours, I would say 9 times out of 10 the games I played were with mature people.

You don't want to start out with this game in single player mode. It's too hard.

Go online, and play on a 6man team, and you'll have a blast.

This game never gets old, for me. Ever since playing this game, I now love Coop-"Invasion" type games. Waves of enemies, and each wave is stronger and more unique, with a final wave of a Boss.

It's pretty bad ass.

Great/fun physics engine. Slow-motion bits for special kills. Great weapons and sound effects. Bone cracking bam sound effects for shotgun blasts to heads of strong enemies.

You'll probably want to start out playing the Sharpshooter class, or Support Specialist class. I always play Support Specialist, because I love shotguns.

You can get the Hunting shotgun (which is a double-barrel shotgun), and press middle-click (alt fire) for a double-barrel blast. I like to approach the Scrake enemies, crouch down, point up to their neck (when they're at 50% health), and do a double barrel blast, and sometimes it kills them and makes them fly up and back flip in the air.

Great.

This game is under appreciated. Deserves more popularity.

This is my #1 game. 600 hours played, since Dec. 2011

Other games I play don't come close to # hours played.

---

Edit: I still prefer the original skins; right now the sideshow event is on, so, the monsters look different.

I also like the skins for the Christmas event.

I would think that age-separating system would be more important.

No one likes to play with annoying childish emos on microphones and selfish kids that play selfishly(in a non-teamplay manner).

The fact is, companies shouldn't be rushing out their games (to make a quick buck) and then finishing their homework afterwards with QA testing and patches. That does not benefit the consumer whatsoever; it benefits the company.

If the company isn't making enough money, then that's their problem; not our problem. Don't make it our problem by rushing your product out and then finishing your homework afterwards and continuously changing shit because they didn't do their job in the first place.

If the company isn't making enough money, then maybe they shouldn't be in the business of making games.

Also, no one asked for DRM. No one.

I prefer games that never need patching. If you don't have the money/time to invest to properly build your game in a single round with no need for future patches, then don't be in the business of making those types of games then. Don't make it our problem by rushing it out at us in an incomplete state/form.

Another four months.

More proof that this franchise is being milked, and this game was rushed.

And you all bought it because it said "Diablo III" on the cover.

Sad.

It's similar to the one and only shitty part of BF2142. "Connecting to EA Master Server" "Connection failed"

EA, you're so lame. Do us all a favor and just get out of the gaming industry already. You don't belong.

*shove down your throat* Just deal with it.

"Nintendo defends rapid release of new Mario games"

Just like I said in another thread. Once a company knows how popular a game becomes, they then get an ego boost and start milking it even more, for them; not for you. For money.

We should stop letting companies know how fun a game is.

---

Edit:

Although, like LittleMe said, the market may very well eventually kill this for Nintendo anyways. But, I just feel sorry for the victims that are still being suckered into buying these milked products.

Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games Win Big at E3. Denial is one thing. Self-deception is another.

Yeah, from news.xbox.com...nice try!

About as trustworthy as the official chinese news agency, or FOX, or CNN....

And that's just it. My point about "invasion of privacy" for companies to know what games we play, and how much of it. Because once a company finds out how popular a title is, they act on that knowledge for their better interest; not for our interest. They take advantage of us in that regard. They get an ego boost, then think they can do shit like DRM on their entire console because "well, people will buy it because it's how you get Halo."

Fuck online gaming / tracking.

So, instead of manning up for your mistakes (and letting those people play the alpha), you're instead just going to say "sorry, deal with it" and reject those people?

Cool.

Then why do people still play Quake 3 to this day?

It's too late.

Microsoft would've screwed fans if Sony didn't exist. And they had the chance to remove DRM before E3, and they still didn't.

Only now (they became fucked in the polls) they suddenly decided to remove DRM.

You should not support Microsoft at all because that they "tried"

Microsoft also tricked you to think that DRM was necessary; that it was difficult to remove. Nope. It was a simple "switch" (that could be turned off).

Microsoft thinks fans will return after all this? Wow...

I feel sorry for xbox fanois who are still loyal to Microsoft after all this.

I really enjoyed BF3 but I'd like to know if this release will have VOIP? I've read mixed signals on this with all the E3 coverage. Not adding VOIP in BF3 was a HUGE misstep
I think a lot of gamers don't use it even if it was included, because it can suck and there are better 3rd-party methods such as Mumble, or Vent that people prefer regardless.

All the pains Google endures for running a search engine. Won't the same pains come to DuckDuckGo too eventually? How will DuckDuckGo have the resources to deal with it? Soon we'll see DuckDuckGo go out of business then?
