... Maybe they learnt something with D3 auction house?
This.
They have learnt that players shouldn't feel the need to buy gear for real money that would take you literally years to farm.

Every other MMO company wishes they have only half of that paying (!) player numbers ...

I'm really interested in this, but I fear for the accessibility of the interface.

That was back when one person out of 40 could wipe the raid by standing in the wrong place or not running to the wall etc. Since then Wow has become too easy catering for the bitches who thought the game was too hard. It was hard but now anyone can gear themselves with purple pixels. But hard was what made it challenging. I was part of a guild that got a bunch of local guys (mostly) together to talk tactics etc. You dont need that today.
You're right. These days, it's only one person out of 10 or 25 that could wipe the raid.

But on the TBC issue he is correct. The way raids worked in TBC was the way it should have been done. Complete 1 raid to get attuned for the next raid. It's called progression. It wasn't tedious.
Whereas where they went after that was the "Invite everyone and his brother who has never played the game to the highest raid currently in game" as well as "Queueing for dummies"
My glasses are not rose colored. I quit the game after it was obvious they were making it a casual experience.
There is literally zero point in devoting the resources gained from everyone's monthly fee to content that only 5-10% of the people playing will ever use.

Is there a 'How to juice your team without getting caught' mode?

You just named three different online, competitive player-versus-player games, with classes and weapons and machines of war that have various attributes that need to be balanced, and often new ones added all the time.... That doesn't help your argument at all. Diablo is not in the same category of gameplay, it is 99% cooperative or solo against AI mobs.

Sorry brother, but you aren't just describing Diablo ...
I work away for 2 weeks at a time, the moment I get home I have update Steam, CS, TF2, MWO, Winblows 7, antivirus, nvidia drivers and more.
This is modern PC gaming, deal with it
Even the newer nvidia driver has it's own 'check for updates' feature, that even lets you install beta drivers.

They could save themselves so much grief if they just ditch the RMAH, I wonder if it's ignorance our stubbornness.
