So I'm seriously considering the GTX 980. $550 every two years isn't too bad.

The 980 is ~10% faster than the 970, but cost $220 more. 970 is a bargain at this point. TechPowerUp's performance per $ chart shows this.

anyone here tried this game with a HOTAS? (hands on throttle and stick) and care to comment on what works and what doesn't?

I bought the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick

I don't recall paying that much, though. Thought it was $50. I've got vertical thrust bound to a couple keys on the thruster which makes it much easier to fly. Only problem I found is that the front switch on the thrust controls don't seem to do anything and I can't bind them to anything. It'd be nice to have panels or thrust bound to that.

The controls have the Thrustmaster as an option, but I didn't care for it. I ended up changing things around. There's also a lot of hidden buttons on this thing, so I had to look it over and find all the buttons I could map. Overall it was well worth $50.

Bought the Hotas X today from Fry's to see how it compares to my old Logitech 3D Pro. While I like the separate throttle controls, I am disappointed in the number of buttons and their placement. I am going to return it and save up for the bigger guys.

I can understand why this exists for the Xbox 360, but so stupid why Lionhead decided to bring this to the PC. Fable 1 for the PC already was in HD! You took away vibrant/sharp graphics of the original and added ugly bloom and blur (popular filters of the UE3 engine).

Just a question.. but is Elite properly playable with KB/M ? I can't handle space-flight with joystick ;p

Couldn't hold out much longer and bought the $75 beta yesterday. First I tried KB/M and it's playable. Then I tried it with my old Logitech 3D Pro using a custom bind found on the forum. Controlling a ship with a joystick feels so much more immerse.

Another "next gen" game gimped by last gen game development on xbox360 and ps3.

You mean another game destined to sell DLC and season passes?

Bummer that the Moto 360 is crippled with an old SoC. Such a nice looking watch. I guess I will wait from the second version.

I didn't play the first one due to performance issues. If this one runs well, I may actually play it.

Should be a lot better. First game was made in Flash, so it had all the Flash jankiness. This one is made in C++. They promise 60FPS 24/7.

Take-Two is my only favorite among the big western publishers. Fuck EA, Activision, and Ubisoft.

Devolver Digital is becoming one of my favorite publishers.

The title, "Titan Souls", seems to me riding on the popularity of Titan Fall and Dark Souls.

This project looks very similar to Starsector (http://fractalsoftworks.com/).

Personally, I am looking forward to Space Pirates and Zombies 2.

Imo, the lack of a popper d-pad is a big oversight. And I thought the touch pads were suppose to be nextgen thumbsticks. So why is Valve including a conventional stick also?!?

I agree, this is a waste of developer's time/money to port such an old game with a cult community.
