All I see is a lot of time and money being wasted on everything that isn't the space game that was promised. Besides everything being monetized out the ass what do you think Roberts is going to charge for a monthly fee for MP if and when it arrives? Standard $15 a month? Or push it to $20 or $30? Probably tiered with "premium" P2W monthly packages I suspect.

Cutter you get so mad over shit you make up and speculate on. Read the faq. It says no sub. Now if they go back on their word and charge then get pissed ( I will ). But give it a fuckn rest all ready. You pull so much shit out of a hat. I hear you that you want you space game but some people want something a bit deeper than just flying around in space shooting alien X Y Z.

Lol! U man bro? Where do you see any anger in my post? I'm just positing a logical question. Just remember when the other shoe drops and they announce monthly fees for the MP portion of the game who was right all along. Meantime, give your nerdrage a rest. Shit, truth hurts huh? The only reason people get angry like you're doing now is because, deep down, you know I'm right. Sucks to be you huh?

How does you making shit up somehow equates to "truth"[hurts] ?

Xero, here maybe this Manual will be of help to show you all thats possible in Arena Commander.
I believe they said a new manual will be released with the upcoming patch. Not even sure if this one is the latest since they seem to update it often but it should be good enough I think:

V1.0 Manual

Also I think the real fun out of zero-g fps combat will be in tight spaces inside ships. But that is a wait and see thing, hope they can pull off something that's entertaining

Bullshit. It has everything to do with it. Hard-drive space would not be an issue if they would concentrate on doing a Space game first and foremost

"Pew Pew! Let's add in a first person shootar!!!!!"

I wish I'd never backed this on KS. What it was then, and what it is now are completely separate things. Even at $37, I have buyers remorse...

Buyers remorse and wish you hadn't backed on KS, please msg me privately and I'll happily fix that problem for you. I will paypal you $37 for your account instantly.
But why do I somehow doubt you will reply... hmm I wonder...

Why would I give you an account that has my email address associated with it? Are you doubting I contributed? If so, please kiss my ass (gentle butterfly kisses, please!).

If you like, I can add you to the troll list, and then I can continue to talk about how disappointing the game is, while your sad replies go unnoticed.

did I touch a nerve? go all nerd rage on me some more plz
somehow I'm now a troll cuz I offered to help you out on your big regret of losing 37$... enough to make you mad about it apparently. I see accounts being sold all the time on ebay didn't think it would make you flip out

So how long do you think a game like World of Warcraft took to make? hint: it wasn't 2-3 years. Look what a failure that turned into considering the extremely long development cycle. There are loads of other examples but whatever.

Good point! Duke Nukem Forever and Daikatana spring to mind as well!

Are you seriously trying to compare SC with the amount of information available to us on their progress, the size of the operation etc to Duke Nukem forever and Daikatana with a straight face?

big new games do not take 2-3 years to make. the latest COD off the assembly line might take 2-3 years. a big game where everything is new might take 2x longer than that. for example, a game like GTA4, skyrim, SW:TOR... or star citizen. but someone who follows game development would already know that

yes they would already know that, but somehow they don't, yet proclaim to "have been around the block and follow/know all about development"... true experts.

And no one who truly understands these issues is surprised....

Wait until the propaganda machine starts turning its gears. Republican voters who never heard of this, and wouldn't care if they were left to their own devices, and don't even use a cell phone or internet, will be up in arms over this.

There's about half a dozen men responsible for fucking up this country by lying to the public who in turn aren't educated enough to make their own conclusions and have nowhere else to turn but to listen to a "trusted" authority figure. It is a tragedy.

I have bought every console pretty much at release over the years and then hardly ever use them(after wasting hundreds and hundreds on game purchases). PC gaming has always had the hold over me.
This is the first generation where I have still not gotten either the PS4 nor the xbone. Looks like I finally came to my senses and figured why waste the money when I don't even use them. (that's not counting having to buy several ps3's and several xbox 360s due to red ring of death and the ps3 eye sensors or whatever breaking, and this is with hardly any hours of use) Was literally throwing money away.

So this will be my 1st crack at this game, looking forward to it.

so none of this shit you can earn, can affect the actual Persistence Universe, yet everyone here is saying it is pay to win... ???

here is a video for those interested in actually listening to how it is implemented now. And as they have repeated over and over, none of this is final, they will adapt to the good ideas from the backers, as they have been on the rest of Arena Commander.

Yeah its stupid to trust in a company that is crowd funded and gives regular development updates with modules you can try for yourself! I like the old EA approach of showing cut scenes that have nothing to do with game play in fancy 150$ collector edition boxes. Companies that don't put out demo's of their product before a game is released etc etc. Talk about sheep.

There's a demo of the game? How odd! I've only heard there's a hangar module and little space arena to fly around in. I didn't realize the game was finished and there was a demo for it. Direct us to it will you.

Wry

I didn't realize the game was supposed to be finished when Cutter says it should be finished.
What we have available at the moment shows what kind of flight model they are shooting for and in a few months we should have much more to play around with.

For those interested, a new Design post is up:
Design: Shilds & Management

I have been traveling as well and haven't been able to load any of the new latest patches, but I was also loving the flight model the last time I played. I will probably end up waiting on the multi-player ships before I play again but so far I am very happy with their progress. They are aware of the HUD issues and are continually working on it, as they know it is a huge part of the experience.

Is it just me, or does it feel like the flight model handles the same during the races as it does in outer space? I would expect less inertia in the atmosphere as the ship should be able to use the atmosphere to turn more sharply (should also result in a lower top speed through frictional resistance).

Yeah I don't think the races is meant to be "in atmosphere".. it is all outer space for now. Maybe someone more knowledgable on the subject could comment, but any atmospheric flight will be only implemented far out in the future after release, so it's not really something I'm counting on to be completed any time soon.

Wildone I have no idea what you keep ragging on about, I don't know if you have some sort of computer problems or what but the flight model is pretty awesome. There are hundreds of youtube video's showing some really skilled players pulling off some pretty damn sweet moves with de-coupling. I still have a ways to go but with my HOTAS it feels pretty damn good.
