Any court can have court marshals or the FTC or whatever send personnel to their many offices around the world and see that actual work is being done.
Which proves how utterly ridiculous this whole frivolous lawsuit is and I am baffled that someone self proclaimed intelligent and an expert in the field can argue otherwise.
That's Derek "Smart" for you right there.

Speaking of utterly ridiculous... the idea that a court would send out a Marshal to a video game studio. I know when you say Court Martial out loud it sounds the same, only it means something completely different (as in - it's a military court of law).

Maybe your thinking of the bailiff who is present in court in order to maintain order and security, or the sheriffs who are there when prisoners need to be transported. Also the FTC is an independent body that isn't directed by courts, hence being independent.

Google - helping people not sound utterly ridiculous since 1998.

Please accept my apologies for using the wrong name. Court Sherrif was the one I meant, I am currently involved in a multi million dollar lawsuit in Panama and "Aguacil" in Spanish are sent to the sequestered property or ship or whatever and I translated it incorrectly to marshal. Thank you for sharing your vast superiority in knowledge of the correct English terms which of course totally invalidates the point I was trying to make.
Apperently I don't know anything about lawsuits and I wouldn't want to sound utterly ridiculous in front of this crowd of obviously well versed Arm chair developers and Court term experts.
And I never claimed the FTC would be directed by the court I just said if they chose to send some sort of personnel whatever their name is I don't really care.

Can any of that no longer apply after a specific date? They can easily claim they're still developing the game, and will still deliver it all.

of course they can and will claim that. There are mountains of evidence produced weekly of the on-going production of this game. The fact that idiots are out screaming in numbers has no actual basis on the facts on the ground. Any court can have court marshals or the FTC or whatever send personnel to their many offices around the world and see that actual work is being done.

edit- oops, I forgot, there is no actual lawsuit, it is just Derek Smart talking a bunch of shit straight out of his ass.

"And when it doesn't explode". It will. It's just a matter of time. 85 million dollars is a lot of money, but it is not enough for Chris Roberts' ambitious pipe dream.

you mean *87 million

Btw, when is this explosion going to take place. I keep hearing Derek smart talk about the incoming SOONER RATHER THAN LATER doom scenario FTC etc . When should we be expecting this?

STAR CITIZEN'S CREATOR SAYS HITTING $75 MILLION GOAL IS "LIBERATING"

“I used to have some arguments internally where the head of marketing was like ‘Well, we'll see if we can do 20 [million]’ and I was like, ‘Ahh, there's no way we're doing 20.’ So, it has been pretty awesome.”

Two thoughts here.

1. That was originally the game Star Citizen was going to be. "Star Citizen will improve on Privateer with 100 star systems to explore on launch." (from Kickstarter)
2. "I used to have some arguments internally where the head of marketing was like 'Well, we'll see if we can do 20 [million]'" How many times did a similar argument happen between Chris and Alex... to the point where Alex gave up and "left for personal reasons"?

When Roberts first launched the project in October 2012, he hoped to raise between $2 million to $4 million to bring on angel investors to help fund the game. As the game is successfully raising funds independently, the project is liberated from bringing on private investors, allowing the developer to proceed with the game’s production as it sees fit.

Angel investors fall under what is known as Accredited Investor and they are protected under SEC or securities laws. And as pointed out on this article anything falling under this classification typically has negotiated protections and rights such as

* Voting rights to ensure the company does not take certain actions without the investor's approval; (i.e. creating massive out of scope changes)
* Access to the premises and financial information; (i.e. "Show us the money?! What have you spent it on?")

The fact that Backers are not "officially" and "technically" investors means CIG doesn't have to share financial information and can take certain actions without the investor's approval. Anyone with 86+ million dollars of Backer money and absolutely ZERO state or Federal oversight is a disaster waiting to happen.

When CIG explodes, it's going to be colossal.

And when it doesn't explode will you finally STFU ?

I'm a troll because you're some fat kid who can't play real sports and gets picked on by jocks? Awww, sucks to be you, huh? Son, fat, lazy, and stupid is no way to go through life. You fat little bastards need to get out of youur parents basements. Get some excercise. Try actually speaking to a female. Jesus, and people wonder why you kids are tubs of lard.

You're a troll because your opinions are all meaningless flamebait without any depth to them. Despite having 21,000 posts of bullshit spam you probably haven't engaged beyond 2 replies in any discussion here.

You somehow confuse going against the grain on every topic to be a form of bravery instead of the transparent stupidity that everyone else sees it for. I don't know if you realize it but you're pitied and are the real source of that story from your quote.

This isnt about SC. It was, is and will only be about himself. He's a textbook narcissist.

exactly, and the fact anyone responds to him in any positive way baffles. I haven't seen this level of narcissism in a long time. Wow guy is a real piece of work.

They've got what? 6 offices of varying size and 200'ish employees? That has to be 20 mil per annum and that's deffo on the low side. They must have spent at least 30ish mil so far? That sound about right. So they've got 2-3 years before the bread runs out. Heh, good luck.

I think they are closer to 300 by now.. and yeah they have subscribers who fork over money on a monthly basis that does not get added to the 85 mil total, so they have other monies coming in..

Yet I only find thread after thread of bashing AMD cards.

How hard is it to understand that other people might have their own anecdotal evidence that contradicts yours? It's not like its difficult to find evidence of AMD driver problems on the internet. Do you think everyone is just making it up or that every single person how somehow misconfigured their machine? Team green? What the fuck is that? Fucking gamers think like kids.

Arkhams Razor - the simplest explanation is that AMD has crappy drivers and some people have problems with them. No one said Nvidia was perfect either genius.

team green was only another way of saying nvidia, an attempt at being less repetitive; sandy vagina much?

disclaimer: I have had both AMD and Nvidia cards over the years, I have no allegiance to either. Just a few days ago I ordered an 980Ti based off of the latest benchmarks showing that the Fury X does not in fact wipe the floor with the green team

how is it looking at 1440p?
I was looking into getting a Fury but now it seems like going the 980Ti route is the better option.
I game at 1440p and plan to for the next 1-2 years before jumping to 4k once the gpu's can actually handle it nicely. 2016 at the earliest
