Will they finally use Phototextures in UE4 to get rid of the artificial feel of Unreal Engine games ?
Even compared to the much higher polycount in UE3 Half-Life 2 looks more believable (realistic). |

I can't believe I really watched an announcement for a coming game announcement.
There must really be a part of me left, somewhere inside, that hopes Epic makes something interesting.
They never made something with a robot as a main char, right? There is still _something_ new they can do, with their macho-scifi-thing.

Looks like a mix of popular first-person shooters. Turrets, driving/vehicles, killing enemies in water with electricity...

If a lot of people would sign a petition to get a full first person view with an DLC-pack,
maybe that would happen.
I don't think Ubisoft would want to miss an opportunity to make extra money.
And we gamers would get what we want.

They really should drop the "classic alien" thing and go for a cool alien style. Maybe something Giger-like or something like the alien-style from Digital Extremes Dark Sector.
And IIRC Alien Arena doesn't have brightskins, which every Deathmatch game should have. Client-side with an on/off-toggle.
