with all the talk of how easy it is to hack newer computer controlled cars, Apple would be wise to market any new 'iCar' with strong security features as the selling point

No worries! I hear some folks <claim> that the ds4 is persnickety with what BT chipset it connects to, but I've not tried it myself.

Keep meaning to get back to this project...

That would lead me to believe even more that they are the same types as I have heard the exact same thing about the PS3-compatible BT devices.

I just got GTAV pre-ordered so now I'm considering getting a ps4 controller to play that with, but im guessing the 360 controller will have the best(only) out-of-the-box support so maybe I'll just use that instead. I've always preferred the ps3 controller in GTA games in the past, compared to microsoft's controllers. The only exception is GTA4, with everything besides driving being better on the 360 controller. Aiming is more accurate and the analogs are tighter and easier to manuver in smaller steps than the PS3 controller. The PS4 analogs are a step in the right direction, imo.

To be competitive online I will most likely only use the controller to drive, so perhaps the PS3/4 controller will be the way to go, after all.

Only time I ever played GTAV was at a buddies house on PS3 a couple years back near when it first came out, I've been waiting very patiently to experience it on PC proper the first time through. Haven't even seen the newer console versions besides a couple snapshots.

I was also looking at the BT400 for wireless. Some folks claim it works with the DS4.

Sorry for the late reply here, but looking at either of the pages for the DS4 drivers and the forums on their respective sites and PCSX2 forums, you should be able to find a compatible bluetooth dongle that will work. I believe it has the same requirements as the PS3 controllers, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR support, but just to be sure I would check with what is recommended by users of these drivers. My bluetooth dongle was $7 ordered from china and works perfectly, but I havent tried it with PS4 controllers, yet.

Just a PSA that today is the last day for 22% off of GTA5 on GMG with code:

71P30S-6WV48H-0FND02

Not advertising for them or anything, I just bought my key there last minute when I realized the sale is almost over. Hoping to see bluesnews fully representing in GTA Online!

Looks like Steampunk modified Hawken mechs fighting in 2D with the traditional MOBA 'QWER' skill layout, but turn based and mixed with a super puzzle fighter element as well.

Guess somebody had to try that formula, eh? lol

Reminds of Super Puzzle Fighter.

Ditto, lol.

Still probably one of my favorite games to load up when I plug in my Dreamcast every now and then. Very addicting!

Agreed, I play Super Puzzle Fighter 2 on MAME a alot, and it's really a fun game in VS mode. If this game can capture that kind of fun with all the other systems they have thrown in this, it could be fun. On the other hand, it could just be ridiculous and annoying.. we'll see =)

Anybody who uses NoScript already has the <canvas> fingerprinting exploit blocked (for many years now) and would not need this CanvasBlocker add-on.

I put a support ticket in to Steam about half a year ago to fix GTA4, as their internal steam link causes stuttering in the game at regular intervals (about every 2-4 seconds), but if you launch the game outside of steam, directly through the game's launcher executable, it runs completely fine.

They kept re-directing me to contact Rockstar support, which I told them was ludicrous, as Rockstar's game runs completely fine (well, as fine as GTA4 can be considered to run..) when you don't launch it through steam. After further testing, it turns out that disabling the overlay is what fixes the problem, not just launching it outside of steam.. and I relayed this information to them after figuring it out, only to get the same response with links to Rockstar's support.

Didn't play GTA4 for many months after that, until I played recently and discovered that the bug still persists. It's not just me also, there are lots of posts from people who have the same issue in the steam forums.

Their customer support is pretty bad, IMO.

$100 for the ultra mega digital platinum collector edition. That said, I remember buying MK3 for the Genesis for $79.99 + tax at K-Mart in 1996 which, according to inflation, would be $111.02 before taxes so maybe I'm the sucker for not getting the $100 package.

Holy crap I didnt realize Genesis carts were that expensive! I never paid more than $59.99 for any SNES game that I can recall, never owned a sega console before though, besides a saturn I traded for a digital camera that took 3.5 inch floppies as film (some sony monstrosity..)

It'll be my third playthrough...gotta get my DS4 working under windows...

http://ds4windows.com/

or

http://dsdcs.com/portfolio/software-development/4-ds4windows

Both are supposed to work well. I am planning on installing the first one though because the author said you can disable xinput through his interface, which is essential for older direct input games/emulators if you play older titles.

Thank you! This is the one I bookmarked about a week ago, but I've not tried it yet.

The guide you linked walks you through setting up the 2nd program I linked. Both are based off the same driver (DS4tool) but with a different interface. You should be fine with either, really =)

Or interpolate your classic porn and new 60fps porn to 120 FPS+ with SVP ( http://www.svp-team.com/ )

Oh you're gonna love this then. Here in my city(~40k in Canada), they've started installing metal conduit on utility poles to stop copper thieves. Stupid bastards are cutting ground wires and pulling it off the poles.

Sounds like some Trailer Park Boys shit-- stripping utility poles of copper wire in small canada towns to try and fund a cannabis grow and feed bubbles' cats, lol

I've been rocking 60/12 ever since I got that docsis 3 surfboard you guys recommended. Didn't realize such speeds were available to me without changing my contract, I had been sitting at 30/7 for years.

What is this magical modem you are referring to and does it work with any cable internet provider? Very interested in this magic bandwidth doubling technology.

I think he's referring to upgrading to a DOCSIS 3.0 capable modem from a DOCSIS 2.0 modem.

Yep. Comcast has been bumping up speeds around here for a while I just didn't really care since I had no problems with my 30 that I was paying for since that's what I agreed to 5 years ago. They never informed me about how much they had increased it beyond mailers simply urging me to upgrade my modem to "unlock faster speeds" etc. with no specifics. I decided to get my own modem instead of theirs and someone pointed me at this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AJHDZSI

Thanks for the clarification. I thought for a second that you guys possibly had some inside info on some magic modem that would double cable internet speeds for anyone with cable internet. Lol

For the longest time I've had a 15/1 cable connection at my home because I was grandfathered into a pretty sweet deal for it ($30/mo for 15/1 with no caps, without television or phone bundled in)

Good guy ISP sends a letter at the beginning of December and says that because they've upgraded their network they are going to increase everyone's bandwidth free of charge. In my case the upgrade was to bring me to 20/2, and they said it would be done by the end of January. The upgrade was done around the middle of the month and is actually topping at 21/3. Can't complain one bit =)

Will be interesting to see if my ISP goes a further step and makes it 25/3 just to technically make it broadband so they can market it as such, especially because the current speed I have is so damn close to that it would seem to make sense to bump it that little extra bit to be able to give it that title. *crosses fingers*

Either way, I'm glad to have an alternative to the shitty 'big fish' ISP around here (Mediacom)

Been using a plugin to use html5 by default on YouTube for a while now. Haven't had a single problem with it so far, and I'm using Firefox on 64 bit Windows 7

The plugin has a little drop-down that lets you switch between html5 and flash if you want to, also.

And what of the people who did the CC fraud in the first place, I guess they got away with it.

They laundered the money through these key selling sites. It's common with key stores for large batches of keys to be used by the providers as a way to launder money and get away with credit card fraud like this.
