News Comments > Portal 2 Countdown Explained
49. Re: Portal 2 Countdown Explained Apr 16, 2011, 19:10 reisub

I assumed the more popular the game prior to the countdown, the more hours needed to be logged. Although looking at the page again it seems more like unique users rather than hours.

Steam is still the most expensive place for me to get Portal 2, despite the 10% reduction.

Haven't noticed anything in Super Meat Boy apart from a slightly altered title screen. The last change on April 13th, "Fixed bugs with Portal Search", would obviously point to something.

I'm going to be unbelievably boring and safe by waiting for user feedback before purchasing*. I live a grey life.

I seriously doubt it's an engine limitation. Hardware limitation possibly.

TBH I thought it looked OK. I'm in the mood for a mindless shooter though.

It's the Duke I remember. Maybe you should revisit it.

It's a shame these type of games never support my format of choice (FLAC+cue sheet).

Really? I just got moron.

ME2 is free in the same way as your mobile phone is "free". You have to sign and pay for an onerous contract (DA2) in order to get it. Nice compensation for existing owners of course.

I loved Shun in Virtua Fighter 2. Getting him drunk enough during a fight to unlock a new move. They're missing a trick there. x)

I've always liked tennis games, Pete Sampras Tennis 97 being my fave for some reason. Might pick this up.

25. Re: New AMD/ATI Reference Drivers Mar 30, 2011, 08:50 reisub

With all these tales of woe I guess I can count myself lucky to not have any major problems with ATI drivers (not used to the AMD thing yet). The only issue I can remember encountering was when Dirt 2 first came out and the drivers would crash on launch. Luckily I found a workaround. A bit stupid though, as the game came with the card. x)

Owning the original, I'm slightly less inclined to get the remake. ScummVM works fine for me.

I'd be more interested in some Telltale style episodes.

Why? It's not like Steam will be short of copies. I'd rather not take the risk, however small, that it may blow.

21. Re: Crysis 2 Tweak Tool Mar 27, 2011, 15:51 reisub

I may be alone in this but why does it matter if you need to delve into a configuration file in order to make advanced changes? As long as the options are there to be tweaked what difference does it make?

It was like this with Quake, Unreal, etc. and it wasn't a problem then. I don't see why it's a problem now.
