How exactly is Denuvo going to prevent people from "doping" large amounts of Monster and/or Red Bull? Have you seen how fast gamers are who crank up on energy drinks?

That reminds me... is Bawls still made?

Initially was a cool PR Stunt, but based on the amount of streamers who were visibly frustrated that their life blood was a black hole for the foreseeable day, was telling that it may have been too much.

Looks great.. too bad it'll be lost on most of the current generation who care more about graphics, loot boxes and shiny things versus gameplay :/

Definitely will support this, even if just because Co-op support.

Really enjoying it, so far.

The size feels good, the amount of clutter/hiding areas is great. Havent really been able to play with all the weapons, but not too horrible in first bit of playing.

I definitely dig the jump mechanic, because it is so nice to not have people end up away from the group (unless they want to).

Curious to see how well it does

Good for Sony for not wanting to open a can of worms with bugs, performance issues and other issues. There is a reason games have to get "Certified", even if it isn't 100% catch-all (never will be).

I understand their "excuse" that they want to add all of their content before bugfixing/performance, so if they try to add something later it doesn't break things... but that is kind of the part of testing/development/breakfix.

Fix things now, then when you go to add stuff later and it breaks something, then guess what... you had a bug that you didn't know about till now. Fix it and continue.

No real interest in this, unfortunately.

After watching the special people, aka twitch gamers, play it for the last few days.. it just felt like battlefield meets cod in star wars environment

It almost seems like the greatness of T1 was completely accidental.

It was, since skiing was a physics bug basically. That is why they had vehicles for hauling people etc, because that was the original intention in gameplay.

And how would they do that with the as you put it, unreleased product?

The first time the game will be showed in public is at this event.

If you read Gabe's comments, you'll notice he refers to the teams preparing for the tournament. One would assume that the teams that we're invited/attending, also have the game already and are playing it.

It will make the tournament interesting, but at the same time, I would much rather see the teams play a few games for the first time versus having a lot of time to practice.

And how about a tournament that doesn't involve dota teams, but instead regular people too.

The solution for Valve is to either do actual checks to verify what versions of D3DX are installed and if the game installing/running is going to need a newer build.

They would probably need to make the assumption that if they have the latest version, then they have all of them, which is something they probably aren't willing to do.

The other solution would be to just create an update "game" like they've done for video drivers and just let games on Steam "require" the game versus including it all their own. That way, when a new version of D3DX comes out (which is usually bi monthly, sometimes more often), Valve could push out the updated redist.

Why? I dislike the limitations of the Unreal engines. Tribes Vengeance used an Unreal engine and the limitations were obvious. Not sure why this is strange. Invisible walls and small maps are not good for a tribes game.

T:V was messed up by Irrational, don't blame the engine for a developer's design decisions. They broke modding which should be enough said.

It is all up to Hi-Rez on how they handle it, since current iterations of the engine can handle 10km x 10km play areas.

But.. I don't know, I'd prefer they wait and show up at PAX or some other lan/conference that is more "universal"
