News Comments > Diablo III Skill Calculator Updated
5. Re: Diablo III Skill Calculator Updated Feb 27, 2012, 12:50 Optional nickname

Sigh, I wish they wouldn't call this a "Calculator", this is only a game of Memory Match. I moved pictures to their corresponding holes, at the required skill level, yet still seems confusing as all hell to me. Like in the Witch Doc, What if I don't want a terror spell? Can I put another class of skill into that forced keybind? if this is a calculator, where is the '=' button?

And talk about spoiler alert, jesus Murphy, we wait 12 years for a sequel to Diablo 2, meanwhile we know nothing about it, but Blizzard shows you every skill at every level imaginable on one webpage. Talk about mismanaged info. Who the hell is the project manager to Diablo 3, and why wasn't he put to sleep 8 years ago?

Anyways, I guess I'll have to play the game, to understand it. Reading about it , and all the changes they did, makes no sense to me at all. Now runes are just amplified skills at a certain level, why call that a rune? Aren't runes a placeable object that you find by chance someplace? Now we all have runes by auto-skill level attainment?

What ever happened to a skill getting better, from repeat use of it? Is that a crazy concept?

Something's amiss. whatever,

How about get the game out the door instead of doing these PR things on launch dates on a weekly basis?

The more buzz they have to create, the more it feels like this may be another DNF.

I remember preparing my first pastry cake, batter, dough, whatever you call it, with my mom, as a child, and that was " a good shape " too.

Nevertheless, I am having a good time with Beta 13, as a female Demon Hunter, oh so lovely. The wrap around bomb arrows...detonate and injure those around them. I can't wait for full release, I'm afraid I'll be playing it 24hrs non stop, just to get the game over and done with.

Although, do expect a console & smartphone compatible release simultaneously with the PC, on this one. If you think I'm joking.... nope, I'm not. There is no way in Diablo's Hell, that Activision/Blizzard will release this caliber of a game for PC only, in today's times. besides, you can clearly tell by the aiming / enemy hitbox (Limitation) this game has, that this could even work on an Atari 2600, with their single button joystick and 8 directional input.

If Blizzard can fix this hitbox (to be able to target any enemy within view and angle) then this game will get a 9.8/10. As it stands, the current form of targeting gets the game no more than 8.3/10.

The music on login screen, some of the best composition ever, bar none. 128 high fidelity channels in game, also a real treat.

I do fear for the cutscenes, if they are ingame engine CG like starcraft2 was, then that is a major stepback from Diablo 2's Cinematics.

Sony pledges? Since when has Sony kept their word? It is about as good as a grain of salt. Thank you, I needed a laugh this morning.

It is a good laugh, all they need to do, is change their TOS (Terms of Service) for the 12th time this year. I am wondering why they even need a 2 page worded TOS, why can't they just replace it with a phrase "use at your own risk"

I work in distribution (Canada) and pre floods, a 2TB Samsung was an all time low of $69USD, a 500GB Seagate was about to hit $31 USD.

during the week of the floods, (although a humanitarian disaster, but opportunity for price gouging occured, blown way out of proportion, with nothing to say about it) when the buying frenzy happened, the price of 2TB went up 5x fold to $345, and allocation just seized.

The 500GB were also selling 5x fold at near $150.

Today, the prices are approx 2.5x than what used to be, and apparently, that is how they will stay, from now on, until the next magnetic medium breakthrough is achieved. (no lunger a rush, see below)

Also, with the fall of Bittorrent, no one will need larger than 1TB harddrives anymore, so enjoy the new price of HDD, and kiss innovation rate goodbye.

Enjoy your ipad3's sheeple.

p.s you should have seen what some customers were paying for Enterprise class drives (SAS, SS, RE4 drives) , they went up near 7-8x fold, and are almost still there today. They are reverting back to cheaper Sata ones, and will pay to replace those, instead of paying the premium for (hard to find) SAS.

By the way, all this harddrive pricing, it is fixed. And guess by who? That's right, the Asians that are dictating our economy in NorthAmerica. Our marketing backbone people are spineless jellyfish.

so, whoever is this mathematical genius that states 28%, I believe he meant 280%

yes, supply and demand is at play, but it is speculative shorted supply, mixed with real demand.

I guess Truetype Fonts aren't being used to display those large hit point numbers, and I thought Anti-Aliasing was incorporated into videocard feature library some 20 years ago? Maybe this is an ipad port.

Hold Everything just a little bit longer!

You mean to say, that the huge red orb on the left, to a game that is in the making for 12 years, if depleted, we will die?

*looks at shoelaces*... Dammit! My shoelaces are tied! I may not be able to play this game afterall.

/Jesus H. Christ Almighty, serenity now.

In all seriousness, there is nothing I'd wish more, than a total participating disinterest so nobody anywhere would buy Diablo3, would send Activision and Blizzard into a blackhole, ahh wishful thinking, if only the internet was ever used for real purposes.

I'm waiting for the Bethesda Elder Scrolls Super Millenium pack to appear on GOG.com for 9.99 in 2020. By then, with Fiber Optic Internet, the data will be in the pipe, waiting inline for the god damn hard drive to finish spinning it's platters (oh god I hope mechanical HDD manufacturers die a cluster knocking death by then)

What is sad, and inevitably true, is Diablo 3 will not feature free 'found on the ground' nice loot, as compared to what will become 'fabricated by inside Blizzard' RMAH items.
