Wow, did Blizzard get bought by Microsoft? First the 180, now this? Year of the backscrabble.

Without the auction houses, there's no reason to keep the game online anymore either.

there's also no reason for me to keep playing Diablo 3, since the only reason I was playing was to make money...

while you shot your body down 8 hours a day at a time playing this, did the $12.49 per month pay your $800 rent less utilites and food?

May I ask anyone, ANYONE, as to why they should now continue playing D3 in its current state, until that date?

There is a grand scheme waiting to be uncovered, I'll believe it when i see it.

They should just shut down D3 altogether, and announce D4, with the proper storyline, and get WoW innuendos the f* out of this game.

News Comments > Blizzard: Killing Diablo III Auction House Would be "Complicated" (By Activision?)
29. Re: Blizzard: Killing Diablo III Auction House Would be Sep 6, 2013, 13:58 Optional nickname
The RMAH is fine, it's a new business model, it's great, I am happy Blizzard can force it onto their playerbase,

what I am most upset about is: Diablo 3 was tailored to the WOW crowd. It was carefully crafted to have them lift their hands off the WOW game just for a little bit, in intervals, while maintaining that subscription revenue. Diablo 3 is the worst iteration (Story driven) video game I have ever played in my entire life! It is truly an insult and a slap in my face to have waited so long after what was a stellar Diablo 2 experiece.

That not enough people complain about what I wrote above, clearly shows, that Blizzard has its audience by their play-balls.

If I may add, that yes, the RMAH is evil, for it is the driving force game engine at its core, that skins everything around it. If you went to a Blizzard company meeting room in their mornings, you would see their FLOWCHART with the big RMAH rectangle at the very top, with all trickle-down logic underneath it. this is your RNG defined, you blind bats.

is it complicated? no! just admit your fault Blizzard, and re-write the entire Diablo3 story (NOT JUST EXPANSION, I mean a full full rewrite of your game, admitting you ARE WRONG!)

you will earn the respect of your fanbase ten thousand times over, and reap FAR MORE rewards that way, more than you would ever know!

are you man enough, Blizzard?

I haven't played Diablo 3 since a week into 1.04, when the bad taste in my mouth finally manifested iteself. Your expansion pack will remain on the store shelf, not in my house. Good luck to Blizzard fanboys from here on out, I'm done with them, unless they re-do Diablo 3 from scratch. elimiate all the retarded WOW inuendos from spiked shoulder pads, to the way everything glows, and get that god damn pony secret level outta there!

so now, all the kids that will benefit from this charity, can now logon to Origin, and redeem 10 million dollars of Origin games on sale. However they are currently upset over the fact that they can't currently login to play, as the servers are down.

Blizzard honestly believed their Diablo fans must of been under 15 years old and they could trick everyone into the RMAH. Considering the average longtime Diablo fan is probably in his mid to late 20s, it's rather insulting.

Then they throw together this half ass expansion. Even D2 added 2 characters. Wtf, aren't we suppose to improve upon the last? What the hell have they learned? I hate getting suckered into their CE since they come with some fun shiet, but honestly, I HATE giving Blizzard anymore of my money!!! Ahhh! They are getting worse than EA on my hate o meter!

The CEO's behind EA, Activision, et al, are best friends that wine and dine to multimillion dollar yachts, at your expense. Enjoy the expansion!

So In about 1 evening, we'll all go from lvl 60 to 70, and an hour into finding free drops on the ground, that will have better stats than the bought items of last year to date, seding rage to the masses which already dropped $250RMAH dollars to Blizzard's coffers.

Can't wait to rinse and repeat to lvl 80 in Act VI in late 2015!

I destroyed all trace of Blizzard products from my software shelf, they are banned from my generation to come, I won't be soiling my computer's CPU registers with their game code ever again. Their forum still provides a sense of mindless entertainment, as half of their posts are all propaganda that mess with the audiences psychology, which keeps them hooked to fuel the traffic. If one thing Blizzard got right, is to keep their folks 'entertained' even if not actually playing their games.

It won't be as magical to replay this, but i do encourage any 12-15 year old that is curious to know about adulthood, to play through all the Larry games (except for magna cum laude, that was a poor spinoff, don't touch that one).

Larry 1 through 6 for me, were the best adventure games I ever played on the Commodore Amiga, (then on the PC with a soundblaster), they will forever be remembered as the best personal interactive adult education a computer software could ever give you, as a young maturing boy.

Al Lowe and Sierra were genius to have created this back then, and I am happy they remade this, even if I don't get around to replaying it, it's still worth simply supporting and paying for this great title, that's how good it really is. it's an instant classic not to be missed for simply adding it to your game library.

Thx for the memories Al and team that brought Larry back in modern day programming. This does compute.

HL3 will come, as soon as all the Steam services are finally done, i.e Steambox (which might fail, they should just sign one with Xbone and PS4 for that) and in place, it won't be before that.

so sit back, relax, and just 'wait' for HL3 to come, it will, it's just a matter of timing, to capitalize on the gigantic wave that will be in place. It will give Gabe a full 5 Billion dollars for sure, he won't settle for less. I wouldn't either, that IP is priceless, and he and everyone knows it. He won't succumb to the evil practices of EA and Activision either, as he knows that is the epitome of cancer to the gaming industry, but they all grease each other behind closed doors and corporate cruises anyhow. It's a numbers game, each one taking the spotlight, one at a time,

kids, make your own gaming dev studios today, if you want to become a healthy millionaire in 20 years time, instead of wasting your time playing their games only, making ends meet to live in your moms basement.

Longlive Valve, PC , Ubisoft (Guillemot & family), GOG, CD Projekt Red, and some Sony exclusives, Polyphony Digital to name one of a few,
and that guy from ShiningRockSoftware that is on his way to earn his first 50 million dollar paycheck.

may the rest die a laggy hardcore death.

23. Re: Diablo III Bans Jun 28, 2013, 12:05 Optional nickname
It's funny, because the number of people that Banned Diablo 3, is like a ratio of 200:1 compared to that of Blizzard's bans.

read it and weep, you WoW tards. sorry, this game is just a spinoff to give the WoW crowd something to poke at, it is not a game for the Diablo 1&2 inspired minds.

Here's to the next gen of indie and up and coming game developers, the stuff we're seeing this decade is truly truly disheartening. Can't ride each wave I guess, this one is a riptide. I hope to create my own dev studio with young creative minds, and integrity, that will pull the fucking rug under EA and Activision's feet in less than 20 years time.

Leisure suit larry, reloaded, now that is something I have to play this weekend... oh the memories, thx Al for that one! been a long time in the making eh? Please remake all of them! The 3rd one is so fantastic too, playing as Passionate Pattie. What a way to teach a 13 year old about adulthood, back then, thx for that!

Very impressive driving sim, on PC, dear Simbin, thank you for granting your engine, and game, via Steam! to me, and the sim enthusiasts.

Wish I could spend more time on your game, than I have, but I'll be one to recommend this (the sounds and immersion are top notch)

I'm an avid GT5 player on the PS3, but you have lots that that company and product cannot seem to get into their game, oh , fundamental things like, "Engine Sounds!!!" lol,

gj, looking forward to seeing this evolve.

Super Hang on. - Sega (before the corporatization of videogames)

The first MotoGP was ok, back when I tried it some ten years ago,
I'm stoked this is actually coming to the PSVita, first game worthy of a purchase on that platform.

I suspect PD's Tourist Trophy on the PS4 is going to be a very immersive experience with the PSeye4 , and the helmet cam mode the game will feature.

News Comments > Diablo III Expansion in 2014?
24. Re: Diablo III Expansion in 2014? Jun 12, 2013, 10:01 Optional nickname
Diablo 3 is just so horrible, to the point that it has erased all fondness of this franchise from my mind. What do these tools think, that I'm going to replay this shitty WOW excerpt story over again only to play Act 5 of the expansion, where only there it might divert to a new alternate story? Fuck everything about that, excuse my language.

I'll be busy playing other games, such as Grim Dawn, Banished, Simcity (version 10.0 hopefully with a functioning RCI, GT6 on the PS3 (fuck yes), Leisure Suit Larry remake, COH2, Plants vs Zombies 2, Watch dogs, GTA V, Driveclub on PS4, some PSEye 4 combat games with the kids, Total War 2, Command & Conquer (a.k.a Generals 2)online, P.O.Exile (final release)

just to name a few. There is no more time for diablo3 during that stellar gameplay library. even if those games weren't coming, I'd just be playing guitar on the porch instead.

Blizzard, just stop everything you're doing right now, with Diablo3, and get to work on Diablo 4 with a fucking proper storyline for those 12 million of us that pay your fucking salaries, you bunch of spineless jellyfish. Only once you do that, will you gain me, and your other 9 million defected fanbase. Look at my friends list (75 members), ALL OFFLINE since 256 days ago.

/moderate this .|. you bean counters.

I'll buy Diablo III again (I incinerated my old CE box), if and when Josh revamps the story line, that is, to not make this game a spin-off publication journal magazine short story ripped from World of Warcraft.

If and when that does happen, I and possibly 9 million others might just re-install it. no matter, this fall is going to be an epic gaming season, and with the PS4 around the corner, Blizzard can take their sweet ass time as they do, to re-do Diablo 3, for there is no time! to play the current D3 game in the next 18 months. Forumblo Auctionhouse Pandagate:-Not for the trolls edition , is continuing to be very entertaining nonetheless. I especially love how every 5th headline is a Blizzard insider writing shit up to have people something to discuss and keep them distracted from the truth about the algorithms powering the engine in this game, that will have you banned for dispelling any Truths about the game.

I wish you luck Josh, don't get yourself datamined on the way home!

I work in IT distribution:

Today, 7 months past October 26th 2012:

Windows 7 sales: 18,000 / week
Windows 8 sales, less than a dozen.

you read it here folks. that is the truth. When Microsoft writes headlines that they sold 3 million units, blah blah blah, that's just selling to sit on store or warehouse shelves, they are not going to new customers. Windows 8, history repeats itself with Win Me. Sadly though, Win 9 will be more of the same, there is no turning back, they will dicate their way through things, as all top corporations do today.

I think Win 8.1 is a noteable effort on MS part, and needed, obviously, as they can see the reports I wrote above. Just make Win 8 touch an option. NO ONE HAS TOUCHSCREEN MONITORS, you IMBICILES AT REDMOND!

it's going to sell another 12 million this fall on the PS3. Everyone that bought the PC version will HAVE to find out the minute differences between the two.

rinse and repeat for XBoxOne and the PS4 next spring.

36 million copies, not bad at reselling a dead horse to the same owner hoping it will geeup eventually. everything strange happens to everyone once in their lifetimes, I guess this is Blizzards moment in history.

I use the "on-hood" camera anyway. The cockpit camera is waaay to restrictive with how much you can see out of it and is totally unrealistic and immersion breaking as a result. Anyone who has ever ridden in the front seat of a car knows exactly what Im talking about which makes it a complete nerd-rage non-issue if I ever saw one....

I agree perfectly, however, GT5 coupled with a PS3 eye-cam mounted on top of your steering wheel hud, in cockpit mode, is quite immersive. The view naturally shifts to where your head goes, and it's very smooth and natural. Top quick drivers are using this online with good results.

for me, the worse cam is when the cam shows the whole car from above, kids, please, never ever resort to driving your games this way.

Blizzard waffles on products all the time, this isn't really anything new and speaks more to them actually giving a shit. Would people prefer they just shit things out like EA? Sheesh.

Millions more are playing Simcity today, than Diablo
EA is supporting and patching Simcity a million times over, compared to what Blizzard has done to Diablo 3, that is so shameful and funny at the same time, I am smiling ear to ear at that one.
Tens of Millions will be buying the Sims4, a year from now.
Hundreds of Millions will be made, from BattleField 4 this year
EA will be the first videogame empire to have grossed a trillion dollars.

Apparently, shit is perfectly edible!
