we can only change ourselves.
this is probably the only surviving quote for serenity, because, with our population going from 7 Billion to 10 Billion overnight now, and just the decline in varied tradition, as Apple and Google will control the world byt the Billions, I can say, I will boycott this game, and watch 35 million walk past my petition, and buy this game, no matter what the DRM measures are.
this is the sad fact of society that cannot be beat BUT!
we can only change ourselves.
Thank fucking God. |

Blizzard is deleting all my posts in tech support, and here too.
I wrote stuff about how their game has melted some of my hardware components, due to the repeated shut downs that tens of thousands of players are also experiencing, (but have no alternate system to post on)
all my comments deleted, and here at blues too, the Nvidia driver update story, GONE.
good riddance failed sequel attempt that is Diablo 3, totally believed my gut feeling that this was going to be a disastrous dumbed down sequel, waiting all this time, for what, lol
COMON GRIM DAWN!!! TAKE US OUTTA HERE. |

I received the collectors edition in the mail yesterday, opened it in front of my wife, and was very impressed at the quality of box and items inside, and proceeded to install, and shook the house with its installation Tristram theme coming out of my floorstanding speakers ..
nicest videogame package so far, ever.
now my GTX460 is dead. (apparently 3d portion has been for some time now, I haven't gamed on PC since SC2 was released.
I got no errors right off the bat, last night, all went smooth, except for the system shutting down 3 minutes into 3d mode. |

Common Sense Fact:
Blizzard is going to Induce fake characters in different regions of the world, that will auto generate "unique" and "needed" and "Desired" Items, for people all over the world to "almost" complete their sets using RMAH
I will beat this game , SOLO, casually, using my own experience of previous Diablo Games, but I will never own any elite sets, due to the clause above, but I don't give a MMO Rat's ass, because having waited over a decade of painstaking human agonizing wait for this game, I just want to see the endgame, cutscenes, and then uninstall this game and never touch another Blizzard game ever again.+ |

I played the beta, tried 3 classes, very casually, you ain't missing anything folks, this game will be new and all, but is in no way in any shape or form, as magical as D1 and D2 were.
This is nothing but starcraft skinned with wow heroes. this is bad for me, because I don't really like either of those games, I loved Diablo 2 though. I will still play it to enjoy, as will 50 million other people, but no way in hell am I making this game a priority, and I thank the devil that my 3 year old computer can run it just fine.
i am not judging the game until it is installed, and I am onto finishing normal. The beta is perhaps nothing at all what the game is anyway. and besides, I guarantee you all, 10 patches in, will be again , a whole new game. at least for once, I hope, Blizzard will support it longer than they did with Diablo II.
I just hope they up the in town music, I can't hear shit so far.
This game is way fucking overdue anyway. Blizzard is just too bloated I guess. Why Diablo 7 isn't out by now, beats the living bujeezus out of me. |

I am all for this, in fact, if I were to open a new simulator development studio, I would plunk down gobs of money on my own hardware to run the game as it should, for everyone to enjoy.
We need proper car, motorcycle, flight, games, with dedicated hardware, no windows, no sony, no nvidia, no ati. (edit oops almost forgot, Fuck off Apple)
may history finally repeat itself with dedicated ROM and Hardware at the core level.
The giants such as EA with ad spam and beancounting, Microsoft with their diseased Games for Windows Live, Sony and their lack of fundamental interests to the gamers that throw money at them, and Nintendo that has all the experience in the world, but delivers nothing over and over.
These giants need to cease and decist. It's way past their fucking bedtime.
It's time, I hope Valve reads this post, and makes good simulator games.
I am a gamer since pong, and am waiting for this to happen, you have a customer in me. I am excited such a news post came to be, what fucking luck this Friday the 13th. Awesome!

Yeah, I introduced myself to Avernum in the previous title to this one, and was hooked. Don't let it's simple or older graphical gameplay discourage you, it was one of the finest games I ever played, and enjoyed to read all the way through.
May play this gem till Diablo 3 hits, a great way to waste ~35 days. |

Fantastic News!
I grew up playing Larry 1 thru 3, on the Commodore Amiga, Then graduating 5-7 on the PC, with my first SoundBlaster audio card.
This game taught me so much adult education as a young lad of 13+ years old, and I simply adored the text adventure game and really cool backstory this game offered.
I was always hoping for a proper remake, and recently wrote some posts asking Al Lowe to please make a comeback, and wouldn't you know... I see this..
Truly great news, Will replay them all, Larry 3 was the best. Oh , don't judge Larry based on those recent Magna Cum Laude game, that was an absolute insult to the series, and has nothing to do with Al Lowe, that was a horrible spinoff title. |

rush'n'attack with old school capcom like graphics, but I feel I've played the game already just by having watched the trailer.
keep em coming, indie guys. your mission, should you choose to accept or not, is to annihilate the likes of EA |

venomhed wrote on Mar 29, 2012, 12:06: Fuck all that. I want games for grown ups and games that target specific groups of people. Chances are that a game that appeals to 10 year olds isn't going to appeal to me, I am fine with that. But when you try to satisfy all you wind up with a big pile of human dog shit.... wait that didn't make sense. So when are the armchair vets here at Bluesnews going to finally create your own gaming development studio? |

As much as I respect your stance, and many do too, unfortunately 15 million people will still buy it Day 1. It's like boycotting Walmart or points on Whose Line is it Anway, or Occupy Wallstreet.
None of it matters anymore. We're 7 Billion now. |

There are emulators aplenty, such as Amiga Forever , WinUAE, but no one has legal rights to obtain software for it, unless you own the originals and somehow create the .adf files from the disks.
But if GoG could incorporate all that, and bring back the REAL games from the golden 80's & 90's, well that would be icing on the cake. |

| Ahh this is great news, I love this gaming studio, Their adventure games are of great quality, I just wish it wasn't too linear. But since it is story driven, it is to be expected, and I respect that. These guys are the closest in production value, to Future Wars for Amiga back in the glory days. I Look forward to new titles, and if a remake of Future Wars would only be possible!! |
