I am still going to buy this, but I have no expectations higher than the fact that this will join the list of AAA historic titles, that will feature dumbed down and agonizing money grabbing gameplay that otherwise will never be have earned in a respectable casual gameplay experience, as this is the current mantra for the gaming industry on the PC x86 architecture of today's times.

Still worth my $60 for maybe 100-200 or so hours, tops, then will join my serving coasters such as Diablo 3.

It will be a pleasant c-c-c-ombo breaking surprise, if Maxis / EA, can prove otherwise to me. I doubt it. I am already losing sleep as to what Generals 2 is going to be.

I want a proper new motocross game, none of this bullshit game engine floating around since Motocross Madness and ATX.

Highly anticipating GT6 on the upcoming PS4, early 2014.

nin, can you please tell Blue to post a topic about Dell now forces Windows 8. Because, they are. Dell's reason? It is "technology advances, and yadda yadda yadda...", I just got off the phone with one of their IT reps.

That topic from several days ago "Dell considers to continue selling Windows 7", is over now. You'll find laptops on Dell's site that force Windows 8.

So, looks like Microsoft is aware of all the heat(negativity) on them about Windows 8, and instead of acknowledging it, they would rather sweep it under the rug and now demand/force it on people. Looks like Microsoft has made Dell their bitch.

I know Microsoft needs to stay in business, but that's not our problem. That's their problem. No one asked for Windows 8. Seriously, NO ONE asked for this. People are just fine with their Vista/Windows 7, and they dont need a drastic change + closed market of software.

Dell , and brick and Mortar Stores will lose Millions of dollars in the next 6 quarters, as none of their PC's will sell with Windows 8 preinstalled (Forced by Contract by Microsoft / Dell / ODM / DMR of the IT retail world)

meanwhile, I work in distribution, and have stocked up more than 100,000 copies of Windows 7, and will be a happy salesman, as my PC's with Windows 7 are going to fly off the bench well through next year.

Fuck you Microsoft and your defunct Windows 8 for Desktops.

News Comments > Torchlight 2 Patch Plans
8. Re: Torchlight 2 Patch Plans Oct 18, 2012, 13:43 Optional nickname

Diablo 3 Patch planning:

1) Have the unwashed masses at BNET Diablo 3 forums, using WoW Avatars cry for 6 weeks to thin air, about ensuing remote controls hanging from their rectums, because they can't kill demons while holding down their left mouse buttons for 800 hours at a time.

2) a Community Manager responds to a post, appeasing all these wild children as if to sit them down in front of a kindergarten teacher about to read to them an afternoon story.

3) Forumcrafters remain deeply divided on this game and bicker about current patch woes, even though they spend 800 hours on it.

4) The RMAH goes down for 35 seconds, 4,676,975 responders cry about how they cannot buy something during that small time window, but 4,676,975 viewers agreed that the RMAH has ruined Diablo3.

5) Blizzard takes notice that their income feed has been interrupted

6) While Blizzard is hard at work with datacenters over at paypal, they nerf all game mechanics, as this game is a 300 sided die with a global variable set in place controlled by their servers at a whim, but people insist on calling it something to the likes of RNG.

7) a post is put up that a patch will be announced sometime in the near future, soon I think.

8) Week after week, on Tuesdays, 4,676,975 Forum users (out of an initial 25,941,672 purchase base) that are still unbanned from the forums, all ask questions wondering WHEN the patch will come, since it hasn't come in the last 4 weeks as anticipated by all of them.

9) The first patch ideas surface, and Blizzard CM announce patch notes, that talk about patch changes to patch notes about changing the patch notes, that will be contained in the coming patch to patch the current patched game that will be patched to a new patch.

10) I won't post this what I'm writing here, in the Diablo subreddit forum, because that subreddit is now owned and moderated by Blizzard employees.

Torchlight 2 Patch pla-

It's in. Here is what will make your gameplay better, enjoy. Glad you all like it.

p.s, I'm so glad to have quit Diablo3 when I did, and I didn't need a 'patch' to help me kick the habit.

This afternoon I played about 2 hours. Ran it at MP3 act 1 and got more than twice the normal amount of gold. I got a usable item and a legendary that has gone to the AH. Its an improvement.

I guarantee you, that you will not find another legendary item until 1.06 comes sometime mid January 2013. It is Blizzard's masterful way if injecting placebo into the young impressionable minds of gamers that waste away playing this disgrace of a sequel bearing the Diablo name and property rights.

I too found one or two legendaries per patch, with nothing ever to come after that. This is the careful algorithm that Blizzard has implemented as the fundamental game engine to this game, and that people call this RNG, or cannot see this, well, you're not experienced or you lack a valuable human trait, called common sense.

Diablo3 is and will, remain, a RMAH streaming revenue to Blizzard, and that is final. What you do with your time, is up to you, but you are one that is feeding this machine. haha, now I get it! Infernal Machine! Jay Wilson laughing his head off.

My gaming integrity, principle of matters > (far far greater than) Diablo 3 version x.xx

RIP Blizzard! Coaster of the Decade.

Amusing to see people to this very day, still disputing the game engine that runs this piece of shit of a time wasting game, for no rewards, with the RMAH hanging over your minds in the main menu. Blizzard stops at nothing to degrade your souls. You can be a huge company, and give back to your fans, but you choose to lower the bar, and test the waters, as you gawk at your news ticker feeds behind a smoked mirror glass.

Blizzard, you have 300 million fans. Why are you sudddenly exploiting them with filler itemization (like adding celery to canned soups), false hope, induced and generated legendary items at the RMAH, Bots that are run by you- yet no one dares to say and believe, you give the entire realm the same low budget legendary item and you expect them to think there is more to get off the ground, you are more predictable and cheezy, than McDonald's McNopoly contest game. You change the game and classes at all costs, except for one cost: that is the cost to your bottom line.

FUCK YOU and your coaster of the decade, it does not even warrant holding a chipped mug on an already stained coffee table.

I hope you sleep well at night, Mike, and your fucking loser friends.

/I am fine, I love to vent about this game

p.s My sincere hope and prayer, goes out to the young gaming community, to please see past this game, and grow a fucking spine.

Clearly, the defunct development team that was led by the nutrient deficient Vegan assclown that decided to realise modern day Flinstone Slate computing, are not sapiens born of adults, so it is clear, that they don't want adult content on that Piece of FUCK Operating System.

GODSPEED TO ALL THOSE WHO WISH TO USE THIS ASSNINE INTERFACE TO COMPUTE.

Why am I alive today to read about the cancer that is Windows 8, and iEverything up the ass!

Won't be long, as Blizzard already has lined up every single expansion in accordance to "Insert Chinese Calendar Year animal" ready to keep the money train rolling. Mists of Rat, Mists of Dragon, Mists of Tiger, etc etc etc.

this 10 million is just a drop in the bucket, the real number exceeds 200 million if you factor in the Asian populace playing this game. Even newborn chinese are playing WOW today.

Dear Blizzard,

Thank you for your time and games granted to us from Warcraft 1, Starcraft 1, and especially Diablo 1. Your next sequels were stellar, but your third iteration of Diablo 3 has totally destroyed your credibility.

I say this to you, as an enthusiastic gamer, since tabletop Pong.

I am in T1 Distribution for NorthAmerica, and all of my database customers of 70,000 professional resellers agree, that they will no longer ever purchase another one of your games. You have left a really bad taste in our mouths

I think you will finally bury yourselves with Titan. May that monster (titan) whack you with it's mallet of might, and forever rest in peace.

You have insulted the integrity of gamers across the land with your experimental Diablo 3. You already ruined innovation with WOW, I guess I must accept there is some defect in human nature, that so many mindless followers still play your games today.

thank you for the memories, but you are officially buried, along with EA in my books.

you really hurt yourselves more than you did me.

P.S, you do have a chance to redeem yourselves, and that is to remove ALL trace of coporatism from your Diablo3 game engine. Will you do this? It depends solely on you. A real man will admit his own flaws.

Sorry for throwing in a comment into every D3 topic,

I just wish to share news, that I have boycotted this game. Corporate greed does not belong as a fundamental game engine in my choice of games. Sure, I can farm for 9,000 hours, but at that point, I would FAR rather be a REAL Farmer.

Also, to enlighten some elementary folk out there, doubling nothing, still yields ==> nothing.

I guess its a casual/dumb down version of Demon's Souls/Dark Souls

It caters to the middle eastern populace, go to any Futureshop, and when this game is on demo, you will always see people from that background playing this game. There is a market niche for most any game, can't please em all. Like MoP, 3 Billion copies sold in Asia from day 1.

not being racist, nor stereotypical, its business today.

I anticipate that within two weeks, complaints will begin about the loot quality drops in TL2, and the ability to go "buy out" the RNG will be sorely missed.

That will not happen and I wager an eBet.

Ditto, ALL IN (slides entire worth of D3 RMAH cash money bags into the pot)

It really irritates me, and hurts me to know how Blizzard has the whole lot of you hanging by that carrot on a stick.

Blizzard will stop at NOTHING to continue to press on with the RMAH spine, that is the backbone of Diablo 3. Nata, Niet. They have to continue, they have done so with the first 4 patches, they continue to slap you in the face with no legendaries on the ground, not even with a base of %308MF like I currently have.

It is insulting, and hurtful, because we loved Diablo 1 and 2. Blizzard came , and went. Karma is going to be a bitch for them

the respectable silence, over at Runic, not to bash D3, AND deliver such awesomeness with TL2, speaks Volumes! This is a pivotal moment in ARPG history, David and Goliath, in the flesh, my friends.

to boot, I just know, TL2 will have epic DLC , and stellar updates, and rewarding style, far far more than Blizzard's current nightmare of a condescending experience ever will be.

Good on you, Runic. Unbelieveable really. Well done. Long live your dev team, & personnel in charge,

I think I'll send you guys a box full of polish donuts and pierogis.

Shame shame on you Blizzard, may your RMAH eat you from within in hell. But you know, in all fairness, the concept of asking for extra money to award more in the game, is ok, but the way it was done with Diablo 3, it is just really insulting to gamers that have integrity and principle.

Having played the first 40 minutes of this game, I have to say Runic, all my negative thoughts of TL1 are forgiven, TL2 is such an awesome sequel, I am loving everything so far, It turned my Diablo 3 Depression, into TL2 Bliss. I will take it slow, because I haven't paused to read every loot I find (every minute) to see how it awesomely changes my Engineer's abilities.

Extremely polished, Extremely worth not $20, but $60.

The musical Soundtrack is so effing beautiful, it is actually overpowering to this cartoony like game, to a point, but I shall let it play in TL2, and never ever bring that into Diablo3, shame on those that consider this.

the isometric view is zoomed out a touch at 1080p, but it is a very welcomed change, albeit the small monster appearance, I haven't seen the rest, but so far they looked a little translucent

I am about to post a picture of MY Torchlight, it will be my D3 CE BOX Pierced through a Bamboo Poletip, set on fire.

edit: Forgot to say my favorite part, this game is like Dungeon Seige 1 , but so much better! THANK YOU FOR THIS!

It's blatantly obvious Gabe wants his new console out, with Steambox on all media devices, including digital signage, to be ready, to lay out this new foundation, before introducing HL3 to all that , hell why not stop there and peg it to models wearing Google Glass eyewear and watch them trip on the catwalk runway, lol.

Then Gabe will have 900 Billion Dollars to finally buy EA and dissolve it to Kingdom Come.

serious business , the gaming industry, it will be a bloodsport come late this decade.

Here is high hopes, that the Kickstarter Venture takes off into high gear, and dethrones the likes of Blizzard and EA, once and for all. Good riddance, bean counting publishers.

And this appear offline nonsense, it is nothing but to help Blizzard investors sleep well at night, knowing that perhaps it is people choosing to set themselves as offline, rather than simply proving that NO ONE IS ACTUALLY PLAYING THIS DEFUNCT GAME ANYMORE since some time now.
