News Comments > Petroglyph's Victory Revealed
1. Re: Petroglyph's Victory Revealed Feb 26, 2013, 09:59 Optional nickname

Why isn't Petroglyph doing their thing on Kickstarter? They can get soooo much funding from loyal fans of former Westwood, myself included, and make a proper RTS game once again, mixing in everything that was best from Dune2 up to RA2/GenZH and everything inbetween.

I hope their current efforts aren't being shunned by lawyers from EA and friends.

if this 'new' CNC is getting in the way of getting us Generals2 for spring of 2013, then kill me now.

gotta love how 'analysts' speculate and seem to know everything the PS4 will be doing and how much it will cost, where nothing at all has ever been officially stated about it yet, I don't think even Sony know themselves

6. Re: StarCraft II Patch Plans Feb 15, 2013, 09:47 Optional nickname

point taken , and believe me that I would take a flame throw to that place (EA), however, I will still give that game a chance, and if it leaves a bad taste in my mouth the way Diablo3 did, then I'll just have to wait for the next great games, which will be Leisure suit Larry from Al Lowe's Kickstarter fund, oh and Defense Grid 2, oh and PoE when that opens finally, not interested to play the open beta, I can wait for the final on that one.

The era of big game publishing is over folks, so bean counting game makers, packup and go home, your time is over. My kids are being taught to create artistic/gaming/programming expressions, and to teach value, integrity, to win the hearts and minds of all future generation of gamers, that will one day look back at disbelief, at the disintegration of giants that was EA, Activision, Blizzard, Time Warner, Fox , etc etc.

Blues, can we please get news on the status of Generals2? I don't like how news of that epic sequel is in the dark around here. I've blacklisted Blizzard.

I'll be buying the new Simcity, but for kicks and giggles, I'll be reading over the 25 thousand pages of forums of haters that bought the game just to complain about it. Will wait for a good patch or two. But if is is severely broken as Diablo 3 was, then I will skip it.

Tomb Raider was responsible for every computer enthusiast to buy ourselves a Voodoo 3DFX addon card, back in the day.

Will buy this new release, love playing them, even if they're just shelved after.

I'm going to say something that will silence the sharks reading my post:

John, you reading this?

you need to , damn I wish I could patent this idea..

but, you need to make arcades make a comeback to the scene.

What I'm saying is this: Asia seems to have unlimited supply of raw materials because they are DUMPING electronic shit onto the masses, risking selling only 20% of their production, while the other 80% gets into a landfill, so clearly that is not an issue to get hardware out to us.

What we need is dedicated ROM to dedicated games. Let the wave recommence. It;s time to bring out the next gen Arcades, where one game, a great game! a John Carmack game! is to be written to his own custom made hardware,

Fuck Sony, Fuck Nintendo, and Fuck Microsoft, get your own hardware OS!

You have trillions of dollars of cash pouring in, whereas kickstarter is merely a gratuity (tip) to this available money that the gaming industry now has.

Stop your BICKERING and BRING US GOOD GAMES ONCE AGAIN.

Does anyone remember nomoreaolcd's ?

Can we do a nomorediablo3cd's and send them all to Activision, or best yet, delivered to the next Blizzcon entranceway. I think this can garner tons of attention, and make it happen.

All this talk about updates to updates, to changes to updates, to a test of an update, is absolutely insulting. Shame on you Blizzard, bunch of fucking assclowns.

totally registered to try this out. Need something to pull me away from GT5, this could be it. to the devs of such racing games, you MUST get the Nurburgring Nordschleife into your driving sims! you can have a huge worldwide adult fanbase ready to shovel money at you!

GT5 forever. Until GT6 comes out.

I heard much praise about Grid1, but nothing will ever pull me away from the Nurburging sim off the PS3, until GT6 that is.

PoE open beta starts today!

When I see the screenshots to PoE, reminiscent of D2:LOD atmosphere, this is what D3 SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Will definitely be playing through that fine game, while they take 2 years to revamp D3.

Blizzard, re-write the story and get the WOW-tardization away from this game, so 9 million of us can consider returning to this purchased game

as for your PTR update, the only single new achievement, is getting the Donkey (JW) out of your company ladder.

I enjoyed very much, the SC2 campaign, first Terran installment, but I was let down at all that messy Zerg art, I couldn't tell one unit apart from another, let alone their base structures, I was just mowing all things down. It is for this reason, and for the reason that Diablo 3 put a nail in Blizzard for me, gg, no re. Company of Heroes 2, Generals 2, Simcity, The Cave , and saving up for the PS4 as well.

It's not that I don't have money for you Blizzard, it's the principle of the matter, just like you are hardlined to preserve your RMAH engine for D3 and all your future games, well, count me out.

Blizzard, you CAN redeem yourself you know, you can admit to your human fault, now that JW has stepped down, it shows the greater public and your loyal or former loyal follwers, that you became too big, a corporation that designed a game.

now, IF you want to redeem people like me, and I can say there might be millions, and with millions more to breed down the line, then you will scrap Diablo 3, story, game engine, and take 2 years to re-write it completely. I will forgive you, and move on, and play your proper Diablo game if, and only if, you do this.

See ya all on PoE later this year.

Can EA and Blizzard join this party? This recent news of EA wanting to ban bug exploiters, makes me wonder, if the next Gaming Joystick awards, wish to create a category for 'Best game Dictatorship'

Thanks for the memories Atari, it's just nostalgia today, nothing lasts forever.

4. Re: No Tomb Raider Prelaunch Demo Jan 17, 2013, 09:53 Optional nickname

I am in favor of abolishing demos, just make games people will want to play. I'll be buying this, Tomb Raider is an integral part of PC Gaming history since the days of Voodoo 3DFX, and though their replayability may suffer, Tomb Raider is one of the few, if any games, that offer good fun sequels. Lara Croft evolves well, she ages like fine wine.
