Love the game but, truthfully, it is BL 1.5.

Not sure I need to see any of the DLC at this point when there are other games waiting

Have to agree with Verno; current gen consoles have already become glossy advertisement-machines with kludgy interfaces. I really dont want another console at this point.

They are "promising" 720p res if you have at least 6mbps speed internet. There's so many variables that can wreck havoc with this tech that I wish them well, but I am skeptical

Market penetration is likely to be its Achilles heel.

Sure there's many that will want it, but sufficiently many?

Perhaps FO4 will have an actual ending this time and not a fade into white.

My sole complaint about the single player is that the aliens dont move until they are revealed thru the fog of war.

Oh and the DLC that was required so that one could color one's squad was a blatant rip-off

chart is bogus -- it doesnt look like software profits for mega-things like Halo (plus all the related merch) are included in that chart. Or sales of XBOX LIVE. sales of the kinect and other hardware accessories, etc.

Something tells me MS did fine with the 360 overall

Count me interested, but then again I will wait for the 2nd gen. Vita anyone?

If there's pixel lag or dullness on that 5 inch screen that might be a deal-breaker for the PC games.

Android games are mostly freemium crapware so that in particular I have no interest in.

loved the choices that could be made in that game. The gameplay was at times outright broken.

Play is very annoying though!

Put it in permanently in offline mode and the only annoyance you will have is it an extra dialog when you click play from the Uplay screen.

Try doing that for Heroes VI though: still annoying

one of the things that never made sense with the PS3 is that many major-release games required an "installation" from the disk, that installation took surprisingly a long time, and there was _still_ sluggish buffering and loading times in spite of the installation.

Seems like some poor design decisions were made under the hood that the XBOX managed to avoid.

I loved that list! though I would argue that the early USA and even Colonial America was largely owned and operated by the wealthy and well-positioned. I grew up in New England and you hear the real stories about the Revolution.

"Democracy" is in an even worse state these days I agree, but the early days circled around the 2% too.

at least this article correctly blames former Gov. Carcieri and his cadre of appointed lawyers for the mess.

Sadly, SONY lost me after the "completely underwhelming in every possible way" PS3.

SONY doesnt want me as a consumer anyway

I buy most console games used, since 59 bucks plus tax is truly a rip-off, especially with the DLC insanity that happens as soon as a major game is released.

a _permanent_ ban for making use of an exploit seems harsh, unless there is proof bots are used. then ban away.

his point is moot -- the days of specialized proprietary portable gaming devices like the 3ds are numbered.

Personally I think the freemium crapware on android and iOS are horrible but global consumers in the millions seem to like that stuff

The USA Federal govt's push to digitize all health records several years ago was an enormous mistake from a security standpoint. Great for health care companies of course.

The only thing that interests me at this point is just how quickly Microsoft will sweep Windows 8 under the rug for non-tablet devices. 8 months?

I suspect PC manufacturers are across the board very unhappy with MS right now.

lots of good points made here.

One thing I dont believe anyone has said is that EA may be setting up an online store for simcity digital "items" that gamers can buy. Another reason to keep the game on-line at all times.

Honestly I have zero interest in this game, just as with Diablo 3. Easy to pass on both of them.
