I read the entire thread and what Torvald is asking for is open source for nvidia drivers. That's nvidia's RandD, and that asking for a lot.
I see both sides but nvidia is entirely within its rights to protect its stuff. |

Beamer I wish it were that simple; I've been using the "preview" and you'll get dumped into Metro at various points using the "classic desktop" and it is annoying.
And you cant put document shortcuts on metro, which will surely annoy many. App shortcuts yes. Docs no.
All you can really do is learn the new keyboard shortcuts since anything else will slow you down.

Town screens in VI finally?!
YMMV but I did not like this version of HOMM. "Simplified" is fine but now *all* of the troop types can be healed with ease. Changes battles into pointless heal fests. And you can create massive armies quickly so zerging works too well, especially with easy healing.
There's part of a great game buried in there somewhere. |

Did someone in the thread actually suggest that Blizzard has the right to make a modest profit with the auction house? Yea modest -- for digital goods and then times the millions of digital items sold. Yea that's nothing but modest all over it.
Blizzard demands another cash cow and it shall have it! |

Ack, Agent, you really dont have the story quite right but that's fine.
It is worth noting that the RI govt staffer who actually pushed the details of the deal along is also gone from govt. So there's no one to pin blame on except the current gov, who had nothing whatsoever to do with the deal.
The only "good" thing out of this is that RI'ers will never forget Carcieri for creating a mountain of debt that taxpayers have to pay.
Chafee may be a blue-blooded airhead, but Carcieri has proven repeatedly that he is bigoted and genuinely moronic. |

Agree with Verno
the only thing _seriously_ not good about Skyrim was the lame melee combat. It is like you are waving a whiffle bat in front of your face.
The "magic from 2 different hands" thing was rather well done however. |

With overall game revenues down yet again this year, versus years past, companies dont want to spend the $$ to appear at E3.
Cannot blame them.

I am a non-parent but....
if I had a toddler and was going on a plane I would give them a kid-version of over-the-counter antihistamine and then they sleep for 4 hours. No hissy fit and no tantrums. Problem solved for all.

It was entirely the previous RI gov who setup the crappy deal.
Chafee got stuck holding the bag with only 2 options:
cut all ties now or throw yet more tax-payer money in.
More money wouldnt save the company. He made the right decision.
