I think I would feel better about this if publishers banded together and made a united store instead of fracturing digital distribution into dumb little islands which inconvenience the customers
You realize those dumb little islands is why Steam and D2D and Impulse have sales almost all the time? If anything, it's better because it forces publishers to actually compete with each other. Origins has already had some pretty crazy sales on games. Yea it's annoying to have 300 logins to different stores, but when I can get games for 75% off nearly each weekend on various DD sites I don't mind.
I hope a unified store never happens, because eventually it will turn into Xbox live, and despite me using Xbox live all the time, I fucking hate it. Everything is overpriced and it's generally a lousy service.

Okay, so why don't GWFL games have the same problem when they sell DLC through GFW store? I have to call bullshit on this one.
This is EA just trying forcing people to use Origin by excluding Steam users because Steam is their biggest competitor.
Ah well, too bad I'm the type of guy that judges games by their gameplay and not petty things like download clients. Still a day 1 purchase for me. Despite the performance issues in the alpha, BF3 really does feel like the best of both BC2 and BF2 combined. |

Another million or so this Holiday season. People are playing it (Wow) out of boredom due to a blah year in gaming (imo).
Skyrim = Subs getting dropped.
BF3 = Subs getting dropped.
Call of Duty (as much as i hate to say it)= subs getting dropped.
Starwars the old republic IF it goes live before Christmas = Tons of dropped subscriptions.
Most WoW players don't even know those games exist. If anything their will be more people coming in, with parents renewing the subscriptions of kids and such. |

Funny how people are now wrapping their lips around the Torchlight 2 cock since this announcement. Don't get me wrong, I love Torchlight but the series can't hold a candle to Diablo in terms of story, characters and well pretty much everything in general. Torchlight is pretty much filler until Diablo 3 comes out. It certainly is the best "Diablo Clone" but that it's, it will always be just a diablo clone.
Back on topic. What if Runic Games was bought out Ubi, EA, Activision or another company? What if the game was released for the Xbox and PS3 simultaneously? Who would you guys turn to next to praise after shunning T2?
This seems a common cycle for people here at Bluesnews and PC gamers in general. They hail one game/company as the messiah, and when one minor quirk comes out, they shun and outcast it like Casey Anthony. Then they turn to something else as the new messiah, rinse and repeat. |

Well me I can bet you my 2 nuts that I wont be buying this crap, I have nothing against, real cash between players, but blizz taking their share, really pisses me off, the bastards, banned people, for doing this in WoW, and now since they can get their greedy paws on this they accept it !!! and also the persistent connection even if I want to play solo ! WTF really?
I will download it from a torrent and play its single player story, SO I would like to say a big Fuck you to Blizzard, turning from one of the most respected company to an EVIL Electronic Arts Empire.
PS: I'm pissed but not mad, this will save me 56$ on a game
This is such an unbelievably idiotic post I don't even know where to begin. First off, being pissed and being mad are essentially the same thing.
Also, if they are so evil, why play their games at all? Oh yea, because you wanna play them, but not pay for them. |
