Wow, did you stay up all night thinking of that gem? You should write comedy. Seriously.

So yea, I saw Queensryche last night and they played Operation Mindcrime in it's entirety and a few songs off of Empire. It was freaking awesome. Tate can still sing like he's 20. I don't know he does it but damn they put on one hell of a show.

Obama is really one of the most despicable presidents ever. He does not care about the constitution at all. Time and time again he is caught spying on people and never has to own up to it. But then again this is America where this shit has almost become the norm these days. I didn't vote for him.

Yea I know Bush did this, but you think the successor would choose to avoid these kind of unconstitutional practices. But no, all your freedoms, rights and privacy are taken away in the name of national security. We need security alright, security from our own government. They are the real terrorists.

I'd rather see a proper HD sequel on a proper 2D plane. There still has yet to be a castlevania to top Symphony of the Night but Aria/Dawn of Sorrow came pretty damn close(those games are basically the same). Circle of the Moon was pretty awesome too.

These 3D games are not Castlevania and standalone they aren't even that good. They better not charge more than $30 for this port.

The design itself shows the WoW pedigree and mentality. Constant fixes, tweaks, "enhancements", balancing, etc.

Sorry brother, but you aren't just describing Diablo ...

I work away for 2 weeks at a time, the moment I get home I have update Steam, CS, TF2, MWO, Winblows 7, antivirus, nvidia drivers and more.

This is modern PC gaming, deal with it
All of those update automatically but the nvidia drivers.

Why the bleem do games even have checkpoints anymore? They were only needed on older consoles which had no save capability, and gave you a codeword so you could resume later.

Newer consoles just save like a desktop can, no big deal.

I'll tell you why. Some idiot game designers tried to rationalize checkpoints, forced on games for old console reasons, as a way to force you to do a whole sequence without dying, thus dragging out the time to play, instead of doing so on a per-encounter basis. That's a false rationale.
/sigh. did you even play the game? I'm guessing no, because if you did you would realize bonfires serve as the only safe havens in the entire game, and they are far and few between. You do more than just save and respawn at the bonfires. But unlike a normal checkpoint when you use a bonfire all the enemies respawn.

Please, play the game before you type dumb shit.

I like a challenge, believe me, but Dark Souls: Prepare to Die was ridiculous.

I gave up on it after 2 weeks of bashing my head against the same spot, with checkpoints so far apart that I had to repeat the tedious stuff leading up to where I was stuck ad nauseum.

Where in the game are you having checkpoints spread out that far apart?
Hmmm let's see.
Tomb of the Giants
The catacombs
New Londo ruins
Demon Ruins
Darkroot gardens is HUGE and only has 2 checkpoints(1 is hidden).
Lost Izalith(my least favorite part of the game)
Pretty much any area where the lordvessel is needed has only 1 checkpoint if i recall, it's been a while since I've played the game.

It's kinda hard to go backwards with this game when you've got Skyrim!

Alot of gameplay elements in skyrim i'd consider backwards compared to morrowind.
Name some.

Yea there is no way they will charge that much for game, it's obviously a placeholder, and knowing amazon's eagerness to sell anything before it exists *cough DNF cough* it's not right.

This is a great game, my favorite ARPG since TL2 and it's only $15. It's a great length too for that price and part 2 is still a ways off last time I heard. The developers also communicate frequently on the forums which is nice. My own complaint is because you are playing as an actual character with a backstory and no class your gear doesn't change that much appearances based on your loot. You will always be wearing the same cape with slightly varied colors/lengths/styles with the same slightly varied hat, gloves, boots...so on and so forth.

Also *insert obligatory D3 comparison/slander here*

The Xbox isn't THAT bad. The rectal security probe is purely optional.....as long as you do it once a week.
Actually I think it's once per 24 hours.

Technically, Ninja Theory didn't make the DmC PC port. It was handled by another studio. Same with MGS Revengeance. As long as the ports are good, I don't care who makes them, but it's important to keep in mind that these studios had nothing to do with the PC versions of their games.
Erm, can't find anything about that. All credits state that Ninja Theory handled all the development alongside Capcom.
