I don't know about the order....and I wouldn't include non-exclusives for a list titled "Top PS3 games"....but it is a quality list of games.

It reminds me that I still haven't gotten of my ass and played Last of Us yet despite the fact that I very certain that I am going to love it. I really ought to do that, if only so I can stop having to go out of my way to avoid spoilers. This game and Game of Thrones....the two things that I keep meaning to do if only so I don't have to avoid half the shit my friends post on the Internet...lol.

Paying $35 monthly for 100/100Mbps connection here in Sweden. I feel sorry for you guys over there!

Stofa? Is it still the awesomesauce?

Mmh.. Stofa seems to be based in Denmark so we don't have them here.

And there's quite plenty here who get subsidized fiber connections. Taking an example some choose to lock in themselves to a singel fiber provider for a five year plan. Then they can pay $16 for 1000/1000Mbps. Some pay nothing and instead it's baked in the rent.

Interesting, I thought Stofa was based in Sweden but served parts of Denmark as well. My mistake I guess.

I would put it in my top 3 F2P MMOs for the F2P player. In fact, I am not sure I can think of a F2P MMO that you can have more fun with without spending a single dollar.

I have often wished that Champions Online had been even HALF as good as this game. Hell, I might settle for a quarter.

And to answer the original question: Yes, much better than during beta or launch. As someone else mentioned, the player created missions can be a good source of fun as well.

In my area my choices are Comcast which I have a 105 Mbit down/12 Mbit up internet only package or DSL from Fairpoint that can barely do 1 Mbit of the advertised 6 Mbit and they're generally about the same price monthly since it requires paying for a landline and such..

Same deal for me basically. I can go with Comcast and get decent speed and terrible customer service for the same price I could pay AT&T for slower DSL and nearly as crappy customer service.

They wont. According to the devs, source code and assets of those addons where lost somewhere in time. They would have to recreate the game from scratch. Similar situation with the upcoming HD version of Homeworld. Code and assets of the Cataclysm addon were lost when Rockstar bought Barking Dog and employees moved to another location.

That's too bad. Ahh well, as others have pointed out, there are other ways to "modernize" the game and still get all of the expansions etc.

Was hoping for a Guardians Lego game, but I'll take these. The kids love them.

A Guardians of the Galaxy based LEGO game would be a fantastic idea. The humor of the LEGO games and the humor of the GotG movie would mix pretty well.

*shrug* At the time it was released, I enjoyed it tremendously. I just don't think it aged very well and I am not sure that "remastering" it will help. As others have mentioned, some of the gameplay mechanics were truly horrid. At the time I didn't care much, plenty of games had controls and areas that I felt like I had to battle through to enjoy the rest of the game. These days that is something that is much less easy to forgive.

Both of these sound like LEGO games I would enjoy. The last Marvel LEGO game was a blast.

Dragon's Dogma was an excellent game, and the "enhanced edition" called Dark Arisen was fun too. I can see the appeal in an open world MMO game in the setting. F2P at launch means I will at least give it a look. It also means I am bracing for disappointment unfortunately....

edit: just read a previous post that pointed out that Capcom is not releasing this in the west. Guess it's good I braced myself for that disappointment.

I think if you are going to do a remake like this you need to include all the expansions, DLC, soundtrack, etc that was released over the lifetime of the game by the original publisher/developer. I definitely want to buy this but I am waiting because I am fairly certain that the expansions are coming as additional expenditures. I will just wait for the "All in one" edition that will undoubtedly follow.

If I am wrong, oh well, I have the original and all of the expansions and I always considered them just fine as is. It isn't that I think they are overcharging for what they are offering, particularly for people who may not have played the game the first time, it's just that I think if you do own the original and the expansions the "HD remake" thing isn't enough to warrant buying it piece by piece again. If you didn't play the original than this is a great deal for a great game.

If it's a good movie that makes me laugh....fantastic. I don't care if they are male or female. The media will try hard to make me think I care, of that I am certain.

I have always considered Brenda a talented developer and business woman but I think her biggest and best contribution to the industry comes from her teaching. The video game development program (AKA The Center for Playable Games and Media) at the University of California at Santa Cruz is a fantastic program and it's largely because of her and John that it's not issuing cream puff fake degrees that gives kids a piece of paper to frame but insufficiently prepares them for the actual industry.

I don't know what these awards are based on or who votes for them....and honestly I don't care because most of these awards things are popularity contests....but I do know the industry is better for having Brenda Romero in it.

If Stan says the FF4 and Doctor Doom are ready for a new "modern" origin that is good enough for me to give the movie a chance. If it sucks, it sucks. If it entertains me, mission accomplished.

This isn't "lives in the balance" type of stuff here. I think people are really over-reacting to what Fox is attempting to do here.

Regardless of legality Ubisoft is pretty much wearing the crown of the most hated company on the internet right now. I wonder if the de-activations are worth the bad publicity ball they keep feeding.

Yeah...I agree and I wonder too.

I wonder if this is actually legal. One could claim this would be like buying a grey market camera. Only to have Nikon come to your house and rip it out of your hands since the guy on eBay wasn't an autherized seller. If this happened with me I'd be on the phone with my lawyer.

This is really shitty of Ubisoft and makes me, again, not want to buy their games.

Not to bring up the whole "software is a license not a physical product" argument all over again because it has been done to death here....BUT....your lawyer would tell you are screwed and to not buy from those people again. If you used Paypal or a credit card to make the purchase you might have more luck at getting your money back, depending on time elapsed since purchase of course.

Depending on what country you live in I suppose there might be some sort of legal recourse, particularly in parts of the European Union, I don't know. I do know you would go nowhere in the states unless you can prove that Ubisoft itself is somehow culpable for the fraud occurring in the first place. Previously when serial numbers or other copy protection has been circumvented the courts have not held the publisher responsible. The current laws in the states support the idea that Ubisoft has the right to protect it's IP before you have a right to the "license" you paid someone other than them to enjoy. It sucks, but it is what is currently.
