Anno's definitely have a following. I never payed any attention to them until Dawn of Discovery. I think I might have to re install it actually.

I know.
As far as I know they are especially big here in Germany which is not necessarily surprising since it is developed by a German company and, from what I understand, it is also a very decent series.

Oh how I loved the old mineshaft. Especially when the source file for it was lost and it was dropped form the list of official maps.
Some servers still had it but it was not the same anymore, mostly because people stopped playing it.
Sadly this looks nothing like the old mineshaft.

Yes, exactly. These freezes and the controls were horrible. Made the game much harder than it should have been whereas I had no such problems when playing Saints Row 2.
I will not say that it ran very good or even good but the performance was quite okay, cannot say that about Alpha Protocol.

In my opinion it was much better than Alpha Protocol. I tried to like Alpha Protocol but I couldn't but I loved Saints Row 2.

AP and Saints Row are completely different games. AP was definitely a better port than SR2. Whether it was a better game is completely up to your personal tastes.

I did not mean the gameplay, I mean the port.
People generally complain about the port of SR2 and, at least that is the impression that I have, seem to be of the opinion that Alpha Protocol is a better port. Which in my opinion it is not.

Of course it's a console port, they would be idiots to do anything else. It can be a GOOD console port though.

The last Saints Row game on the PC was one of the worst ports ever made, at its most playable state it made other terrible console ports seem like pc exclusive Blizzard titles.

In my opinion it was much better than Alpha Protocol. I tried to like Alpha Protocol but I couldn't but I loved Saints Row 2.
Yes it was not a good port but either I have much lower standards (which cannot be since I am pretty much a PC elitist) or we played a different game because yes - there were bugs and other short-comings but they did not keep me from enjoying the hell out of that game.

Yes, they could do that but they also have to tell the console kids constantly that they are very special to them and that they love them very, very much so they don't act up.

I still think it's pure comedy:

"Horses themselves can witness your theft and report you to the authorities, just like a regular NPC."

I see what you did there, Bethesda.

Nature "says" so?
Do you often "speak" with nature?

I would kindly advise you to stop using strongly mind-altering substances as it seems that they create the illusion of "nature" being a conscious entity capable of verbal communication or other forms of information transportation that go beyond usual scientific approaches.

Nature never says anything. Nature does and cannot talk. You can only observe nature and its symmetries and patterns and what not and it is possible to observe homosexuality. Homosexuality is typical in many different species, including the Homo sapiens.

btw, protip: "normal" does not actually exist. something that is abnormal suggest a deviation from the average but the actual existence of the average in humans is another fallacy.

Of course. Other things (besides the internet) that the Pentagon has invented:
Paper
Bread

The moon
Propaganda

"But wait!, you might say, "How can the Pentagon have invented the Moon without being able to go there."
You have to keep in mind that the pentagon has also invented space travel and motion, exactly in that order.

So, people who are paying in Euro get screwed again, eh?
19.99 GBP = 22.83 Euro = 31.43 USD
24.99 Euro = 21.87 GBP = 34.44 USD
29.99 USD = 21.78 Euro = 19.06 GBP
(exchange rates from 13.10.2011, 12:16 UTC+2)

Well, it's not much and who wants to play this game anyway.
