Bummer. Hopefully it is worth the wait......
Irrational Games is one of those rare developers lucky enough to ask the people who sign the checks: “Hey, can we have a few more of those checks?”
That IS rare these days. Think about EA with their meat hooks in DICE and the state BF3 was in when it shipped.

In terms of being a pure PC game, Black Ops was the closest that the entire series has been for years. Full dedicated server support, good amount of options and customizability, full Steamworks integration, and more. /Swirls finger in the air......

Proof that gaming industry has become a business, all about making money and profits at the cost of skipping certain steps in the process--rushing out games, and thus we the gamers suffer because of.
It's also proof that CEOs/PMs are clueless about programming, and the overall value of a bug-free app.
If you don't have the budget to do a game good, then don't do it. Don't do a half-ass job, rush it out, lie/announce it as a full-done golden job, and have us the gamers/testers report bugs for you and have overall bad experience.
Ever heard the expression "Haste makes waste." ? You probably have, but you don't care, right? You POS companies.
Your first line/paragraph is the reason for what is outlined in your second & third line/paragraph. As long as the sheeple are happy with continuously forking out $60+ over, and over, and over, and over again for the SOS that has NO originality or creativity, then Activision will continue feeding the beast.
I predicted CoD would finally die off after BLOPs, but as you can see I was WAY OFF!

Look at all the stuff we're not including in your $60 purchase! Isn't it exciting to know how much content we still have for you to buy? Totally agree!

WTF do people think everything COD does is so revolutionary when they dont innovate in the slightest There's a supposed leak of multiplayer features, including new perks, and people that are serious hardcore CoD players are ecstatic that they're really finally innovating and thinking hard at how to change it.
I didn't notice much huge but hardly looked. I think the perk system, when done well, is the best thing they're doing. When done well.
Haven't played any of the Treyarch games... Add all the reskinning and perks you want, but when it comes right down to it, it will be the SOS all over again...AGAIN; kinda like this. Yeah, it's a repeat, and it's of QUAKE, but you get the idea. |

In other words, the broadband cap may have less to do with managing congestion on Comcast's data network than with making over-the-top video services like Netflix and Hulu unattractive for heavy television users who are the most lucrative customers for Comcast's paid video services. Change the highlighted "may have" to "obviously has" and we have the whole reason for usage caps.
Honestly, since Comcast has instituted the usage meter on their website there hasn't been a month that I didn't exceed the 250gb limit, yet I have yet to have been shut off or even warned. But given the psychological effect usage caps and metered billing have on people (as alluded to in this very well-written editorial) there's no doubt in my mind that many people have scaled back their usage or resisted cutting the cord out of fear. Applied as either a strong-arm tactic or a scare tactic, given the reality of current consumer bandwidth usage trends and general bandwidth availability, usage caps are despicably unethical in my opinion. I've never had Comcast before, but from what I have heard, and this sounds really conspiracy theory-ish, is that Comcast only enforces the caps on people who have internet only, and not those with television and internet. Essentially, Comcast figures that if you have internet and no television service you're probably pirating your television, so those users are the only ones they enforce it on. I think you're spot on there. |

Let's see if this manages to ever get released... something about this makes me worried that it may happen to have the same fate as Project Offset, being bought out and then scrapped. Yeah,, pretty much my concern(s) as well. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait to see what happens......

Portal 2 is ingenious in many levels, especially with incorporating the CoOp into the whole mix.
Thank you Valve for the forthcoming "FREE" DLC and for continuing to stay true to your & the PC roots. |

Way too early to make any solid judgement, of course, but I am liking the concept of it being a story driven FPS-puzzle game.
I wish them all the luck, and if/when it comes to market, I certainly look forward to playing it.

BTW, has the patch gone out on Steam yet? Mine didn't patch when I started it. Steam updated and I restarted Steam, but still no patch to Grimrock. I checked the same thing: Steam updated, but LoG didn't. If I understand correctly, they pushed the patch to Steam, it may be up to 24hrs until Steam approves and releases it for automatic updating.
