And some people wonder why most people here complain about Ubisoft's DRM and some of the developers moving to 'Always on DRM'.
When this type of thing happens, that's when you realize you don't actually 'own' the F'ing game!!!

I guess they aren't too confident in the actual game itself, so that is what they are trying to dazzle you with feeble marketing techniques with hopes you’ll buy it via their weak marketing hype.
I may be wrong, but I don’t have too much confidence in the game, especially with how the marketing campaign has been rolled out and its lackluster content.

In fact, it's all gotten considerably worse overall. Ever try Breaking Bad? +1 here, and also Mad Men is another good one, which my wife got me hooked on.
Isn't this the final season for Breaking Bad? Season Premier this Sunday! ;-)

As popular as it was, and as much as everyone loved it, it just amazes me they couldn't/wouldn't keep it going. It's bitter-sweet, because every time I watch the series and I get towards the last few episodes of season 3, I start getting bummed out...... I must be the only one that didn't like Deadwood. Maybe I didn't watch enough of it, but the episodes I saw were just a bunch of cowboys saying "fuck" and "cocksucker". Not exactly quality television in my opinion. Yes, there is "a lot" of profanity in it, which I was turned off by at first due to the amount of it, but once/if you can get past that, it is in fact well written, directed, and the acting is awesome.

There was talk for a while after that they were going to kick out some motion pictures to wrap up the lose ends, but that never happened either.
Speaking of Swearengen, it was funny seeing Ian McShane as one of the seven dwarfs in Snow White and the Huntsman.

For some reason or another, I had a feeling it would end up being delayed. I'll just have to play the Dark Descent again come Holloween to hold me over for A Machine for Pigs.

I'm going to take a quick left turn on the subject here with the mention of “AAA Game titles”, which has become an oxymoron in the industry today. A AAA Game, or Triple-A game, at one time was considered a game of high quality, premier, and/or excellent; but everyone has lost sight of what a “AAA Game” is and or should be - the name itself has lost its true definition along the way. They really need to find a different title, as it no longer holds true to what is rushed out to market these days!
Yes, most of us here know that publicly traded publishers have to answer to shareholders, so games then have to meet deadlines, therefore it doesn’t matter if the games are of high quality, premier, or excellent anymore, as long as they ship on time, everyone makes a boatload of money, and the bottom line looks wonderful. There is no quality, substance, or true creativity anymore, it is all been diluted in the dollar signs…..
Indies are our only saving grace here, but I’m sure the greedy publishers will try and find some way to F#$K that up too.

The trailer still sucks!!! Smoke and mirror marketing, without any actual in-game footage, and you want us to pre-order. HAH, yeah okay!!! If it is going to be released next year (2013), it should be far enough along to show some descent in-game footage. I guess that shows everyone how confident you are about your game.

Sepharo wrote on Jul 7, 2012, 17:18: Yeah all that talking must be a killer. More zombies, all the time. The plot should be like "How the fuck are we going to kill all these zombies... That wasn't rhetorical, we're going to kill all of them." Then they should like pull out chainsaws or one of those giant threshers and just run em all over. But wait, that sounds more like a hack & slash video game, not a survival horror drama TV series..... DOH!

How about some game footage; I just hope it isn't the goofy cartoon graphics ala the current Walking Dead game, or TF2, etc. I just can't take those games serious. If I want a cartoon, I'll watch Wall-E.
I don't have high hopes, but time will tell...

It's news worthy because it's referring to the console version, not the PC. Actually, Mac, PC and Xbox 360. So yeah, I guess other than the PC, it would be news worthy.
