Also not sure why they were so reliant on the escape button either. Crafting, skills, encyclopedia, maps, everything is on the escape button menu. Far Cry 2 had really cool implementations for that stuff, this seems like a reversion.

Well I got a noticeable (and nice) performance boost in Far Cry 3 DX11 with them.

And while I don't think I'm that far into the game, the story got realllly dark talking to the girl fixing the boat.

As I stated in the Nvidia driver thread, the new drivers make the game alot more smooth, and the story just got alot more interesting after saving Oliver.

Arguably the Hitman games
etc

3rd person gives you a much wider field of view. Some games really require that, and it's pretty limited in 1st person, where your head is pretty much always directly above your body (or, at best, a very limited lean function is implemented.)
