News Comments > EA on "Unacceptable" BF4 Launch

Bullshit. Bf3 had a shit launch, bf4 was worse, and hardline is a glorifyed mod that come across as a low end mod that even with 3 years and the base bf4 still has tons of issues.

My thoughts exactly. Is it safe to say that their BF4 Sales are low in comparison to BF3 Sales? I think more and more people are tired of the BS and finally voting with their wallet.

But are there doping tests, and will you be able to spend all your R&D money on ways to have your guys not get caught for having 287% pure testosterone blood?

I look forward to watching Le Tour de France every year, but it is just a shame the sport became so plagued with doping. Just to keep the same competitive edge as the cheats that were doping, other riders felt the need to drink the Kool-Aid too. Nevertheless, they are still tremendous athletes.

Anyone play/watch this?

I DVR'd the 'Season 1 Marathon' a few weeks ago and have been watching those episodes. The show has potential, but it is pretty weak in some areas: Acting, dialogue, continuity, etc. It hasn't really grabbed me like other series have, but the jury is still out; I told myself I'd at least finish season 1 and then decide from there.

If you haven't watched Continuum, I highly recommend that; it gets better with each season...intelligent writing. Season 1 & 2 is available on Netflix.

It ends about 9 months after release - HEYOOOOO!

LMAO! This was one of the funniest posts I've read in a while, probably because it is so spot on! Well played!

That's fine as long as it's co-op and not competitive multiplayer (or worse, an MMO). However, I'm struggling to see how it would work well.

Question: Other than the obvious reasons, how is pre-release game purchases any different than giving money to a Kick Starter? At least you get a game and can be somewhat involved in the development cycle from Alpha state forward. One of my main concerns would be the developer not following through with a full game with all the content/features initially promised, which could essentially happen with a Kick Starter game too?

Just a question......

Gotta say I'm liking the charity drum-offs a lot more than I should. And while I realize it's for charity, my money is on Smith to kill it and play circles around Ulrich.

Now Jimmy Chamberlin vs. Chad Smith on the other hand would be something epic.

Drum-offs are cool and everything, but Lars Ulrich is the biggest douchebag to ever grace the kit. A thousand charity drum-offs wont change this.

And what's funny, he isn't even a very good drummer either.

Spencer explains why Microsoft didn't bring Windows games to E3.

"When we're doing gaming strategy, gaming focus inside the company, that's my job. I think in a lot of ways, you could argue gaming on Windows has never been more healthy in that the biggest of the big franchises, League of Legends, World of Tanks, those things dwarf a lot of what we're doing in this console space in terms of users and monetization. They're all on PC."

"For us, E3 is a console show and an Xbox show, and for us as Microsoft, Xbox is our gaming brand, and it's the thing we can fill an arena like this, we get millions of people to watch us on TV and we show our games and it's a brand that people care about."

I don't know where to start, frankly...

Jackass! I'll start there.

In regards to Net Neutrality, this is a must watch if you haven't seen it already: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpbOEoRrHyU

Just like the cell phone companies, the cable companies are too big and have too much money-power.

Enjoy,

Sounds like an interesting concept. The first time Ive seen one from Crytek! This part bothers me though, games-as-a-service. Sounds like a nice way of saying they are trying out new ways of price gouging their customers...as if 5 hour campaigns for 60$ games wasnt humiliating enough....

It's only humiliating if we actually buy 5 hour campaigns for $60. Being burned so many times in the past has turned me into a very skeptical gamer.

Yeah, we've gotten to the point, or have been there a while now, where all the marketing and hype is better than the games themselves.

If you don't already, you should check out Continuum on SyFy. It has its weaknesses, but overall it is a great show and the writing is very interesting. It's pretty well done in IMHO. Rachel Nichols is a babe too.

The original Homefront was 'okay' for me; it had so much potential, but was plagued with lazy and poor design decisions and it felt like it was rushed out the door, which I'm sure it was. I'm sure 'The Revolution' will be a better SP experience, but we'll just have to wait and see.

even ULTRA!! settings arent really impressive, it looks pretty damn mediocre

and yet they take a fucking beast machine to even run them at decent fps

so yeh, enjoy that

Yeah, that's because they are being greased by the hardware manufacturers to increase the system requirements in order to boost their hardware sales because we don't need to upgrade as often any more since consoles have become the lead platform. They're obviously feeling the hit.

That's my conspiracy theory for the day.

The performance is also terrible. It should not be this bad with GTX 680's in SLI.

I've read in various places that the game is poorly optimized for SLI. A lot of people were complaining how choppy the game was in SLI, but as soon as they turned SLI 'off', the game ran much better.

Hopefully this is something they are working on too for this next patch, but I didn't see that mentioned from TWEETle Dee or TWEETle dumb.

500 dollars got you iteration 2 of a camera that MS has again given up on, a horrifically underpowered box to play games on, worthless games in their free program, and (for awhile) paywalls.

But on the flipside, you get 4 mp maps for a shitty edition of CoD an entire month earlier! WOOOOO FEEL THE LOVE!

And the sad thing is, there are still people that will lap it up like dogs to peanut butter.....
