WTF
Am I missing something? There must be more to this story or are they just blissfully unaware of how respected Atlus is outside of Japan?

That x64 rootkit is nasty. Cleaned one off a client's PC two weeks ago and the only way I could find it was with MBRcheck. MBRFix in recovery console removes it but I wouldn't be surprised if it comes back. No AV or Spyware detection software detected it. It was only noticed because its payload did something stupid.
When PC's stop booting so insecurely, maybe they can prevent this. But for now, if you get tricked into running it, it cannot be stopped. |

I pre-ordered and have played a few hours of the campaign. I like it and it gives me that "just one more turn" feeling but I have had issues with bugs. Hopefully a patch will come out soon. I uninstalled Impulse and locked the game's exe's down in my firewall so I'll have to undo all of that in order to get any patches |

Steam! We like to watch you play with yourself.
You know, so we can make better games. Not just to sell the data.
oh, and to have our records subpoenaed to show that you were up all night playing games before your car accident proving you were sleep deprived and at fault.
FTW |

This virus is the most embarrassing thing that I have ever had happen to me except the incident at the pastor's pool in 1989. I don't want to press charges, I just want it to go away |

Two years?!?!?
Oh man, it was totally worth it then. That lady who beat me at Mario Kart last year better watch her back. Now I need to find a large turtle shell. |

I dig where you are coming from, Blue. A close friend of mine teaches dendrology classes at RU here in Joisey so it would be way easier for me to get a trustworthy estimation of whether or not to save them.
LOL, ur spelchek dose nott lik dendrology. |

| Get a second opinion from someone who doesn't cut them down for a living. A tree doctor might have a better solution and would probably be cheaper. |

I can't believe that poor guy isn't going to be in the first wave of Halo Reach beta players. That is sooooooo sad. I gotta get his address so I can send him a Wookie. It's the least I can do. CURSE YOU BUNGIEVISION!!! |

I can see the courtroom. Smart representing himself because no one else is as er.. smart as him. Allen emotionally citing case law to his own attorney from a dog eared copy of the AD&D Dungeon Master's Guide. |

| In the requirements, it says that you must have a webcam to play so they can periodically check and make sure that you are the person playing and not someone else who didn't pay for the game. |

Yosemite Sam wrote on Mar 2, 2010, 13:16: Dream on, this isnt going to bankrupt UBI, it may kill off any UBI-DEV that only deals with PC games but the big publishers make thier bread and butter on console games.
I think that this could actually make Ubisoft rich. I've been doing internet advertising buying and selling for over ten years and frankly, if Ubisoft were my company, I would be making $100 million a day in advertising alone within a year. Imagine playing the latest iteration of Assassin's Creed and you are scaling the outside of a building when your path is suddenly blocked by something. It's a billboard that you must climb across that Says "Evony" and has a picture of a woman sucking a banana on it. Do you realize what Evony would pay you for that? If your on Ubi's board of directors, email me. I'll tell you how. It's good to have friends in high places |

I believe that this move by Ubisoft is also driven by the potential for ingame advertising via an Adwords-like interface for advertisers to place their ads in the queue.
It is also driven by it's ability to eliminate some of the secondary market that sells used copies which Ubisoft gets paid only once while it is sold and resold as used.
Not just about piracy. |

Will I crash and have to revert to my last save game if I lose my internet connection while playing a single player game on my PC?
