Money will win. Fallout NYC with a string of DLCs is a much safer bet for the future than Fallout MMO. Given a choice, I'd invest in FO NYC over FO MMO in a New York minute

I would love to hear what Derek thinks of the Evochron games. I always kinda expected him to become a part of that. MMORPG? Not so much. |

Actually, it's already available in several forms on XBD though it's hard to find the instructions for connecting to XBD still (I use a netbook running Ubuntu which my XB360 uses as a proxy to get on XBD. I've seen rumors of an Android solution too.)
I imagine M$ will crush the burgeoning XBDead net soon as it becomes mainstream but the Kinect sheet on their now is incredible and I hope another underground net can go up if when this one is taken down. |

This is becoming a very dangerous 'money pit' and repeated 'reputation damager' for a large and successful company. They need to kill it now before it pushes them past the point of no return.
Space Captain, you have very smart things to say but you always intersperse them with "Something very bad happened to me once and I can't let it go!!!!" Validating rule 19 isn't going to help you move on. Just let it go. Avoid the hate. Denounce the hate. Rep or dem doesn't matter. It's just a thin veil for succumbing to hate. Let it go man. I hope this helps. It saddens me to see so many hate because of something inside THEM not because of the object of their hate. |

Microsoft coordinated with officials by letting them know when he was logged into Xbox live and playing his game. That way they knew for sure that he was there and distracted.
What will you be playing when they come for you? |

This game could've been made in Flash.
I assumed that it was just a vehicle to promote Brad's book as he establishes his fantasy writing career. |

Agreed, I kept waiting for some big percussion thing to crack in and make it awesome. Still waiting....
I liked seeing 'The Dude'. He abides, you know.

Stewart is effective at the age old art of removing the intellectuals from the demographic. His debating trick goes like this... He debates with someone. If he starts to lose, he makes a clever joke or does some comedy routine and ends the debate. Looking like a cool funny guy. WIN If he wins the debate, well, WIN
People who understand debating can only stomach this 4 or 5 times before they move on, no matter how funny or clever it is. So you end up with a demographic that lacks that critical edge and is easier to get a 'not quite' correct message to.
That's pretty damned influential
He's a nice guy, I know this must eat at his gut sometimes.

I miss Bennett Cerf
I have a good friend whose last name is Cerf and when I first met her, I asked if she was related to the royalty at Random House. She said, "No, but I've never had trouble getting a reservation ANYWHERE on short notice." I wonder if Vint has the same experience |

I've kept my mouth shut about this but sheesh!
When the truth comes out about what REALLY happened, they are gonna look like such aholes.
They just keep digging the hole deeper and deeper. Guess they are trying to milk all the cash out of it before the crash. |

What's with all the HuffPo links lately? I come here and I've already seen most the stories at HuffPo. LOL! They seem to be dominating most aggregators lately, not just Blue. |

LOL! Maybe Schafer should have thought about his response for two months too.
Kotick hit him in the wallet. People who decide how the money flows into dev world have Kotick's three subjects of criticism at the top of their checklist.
Kotick's comments were probably meant for anyone who considers funding Schafer's projects in the future.
OUCH! |

I thought about your tree problem last week when that storm blew through. I figured that you might be on the northern end of it. The NJ tornado was only a few miles from me. I'm happy to hear that you dodged that bullet. It might be why your neighbor's concern has been amplified.

Great post and I admire you for spreading the word about what a mistake both these adversaries have made over and over again. Hopefully others will learn from your post but don't expect David and Derek to learn it. They've had lots of practice doing it wrong. |

I tried 15+ hours and uninstalled it. It has lots of great ideas but it feels hollow and empty. I'll try it again someday. This is probably the last time I pre-order a game.
Reminds me of Unreal, lots of great ideas but hollow. It sure sold a lot of Unreal game engines that powered great games, though.
Brad's ego is starting to give me a rash. |
