i still get ridiculous amount of screen tearing in this game.. and not on any other games ive been playing on my new machine
i suspect it has something to do with the way they implement the framecap and working the game for a 60hz refresh rate on TVs.. but what is weird is that my monitor is already set to 60hz - but somehow its not happy
ive forced vsync in the nvidia panel, ive switched it to every vsync mode they have in rage.. nothing fixes it
If you're using the recommended beta drivers make sure you go into "Program settings" under "Manage 3D settings", not just "Global settings". In Program Settings uncheck "show only programs found on the computer" and you'll see two Rage entries. Change them both to Use Global Setting under vertical sync and the tearing will stop if you have vsync "on" in the game. I know it's retarded they didn't catch this in beta testing the driver, but what can you do. |

| Sigh, every time they release a new Win version they go on like a broken record about boot times. "Sure you'll still have to wait 45 seconds while your hard drive grinds away in the background loading crap, but we showed you the desktop 2 seconds faster !!1!" |

| Sad to hear this. I buy games the week they're released if they have long development cycles and huge, content-rich free-roaming worlds. If most developers want to churn out short "on the rails" console ports it looks like I'll be waiting for bargain bin clearance pricing. |

I grew up exposed to the worst snuff films, violent movies, violent video games, and "satanic" rock/heavy metal.
According to the "experts" I'm a walking time bomb. However, I'm happily married and living a quiet life. When I was young my parents explained the difference between right and wrong, as well as the difference between entertainment and reality.
I don't want entertainment watered down because some parents don't parent, or the occasional whack-o thinks he's in the Matrix. I don't care if the movie/video game shows Angelina Jolie mowing down 500 people or getting slapped on the ass by Brad Pitt, I just want a good movie !  |

For $60 you can customize some stats on the 1 available character, then you materialize in a generic room. The exit door and each 100 square yards of the gaming "world" will be available in $7 chunks of DLC. Enjoy, but have your credit card ready !  |

| Looks like Borderlands 2, but I'm happy with that as long as they cut down on the monster closets. Maybe I'm getting old but I'm tired of mobs hiding in storage lockers with no air/food/water for centuries until I happen to walk by. I much prefer games where the enemies that haven't been alerted to my presence are foraging/talking/fixing something/having a smoke/etc. |

I don't feel like paying for the privilege of having my gametime/savegames tied to Ubi server status. Will they shut down the servers in the future/when SH6 comes out ? Pay $60 to find out !

As a huge fan of the series I've been looking forward to this game for months. Unfortunately, between punishing paying customers and being at the mercy of Ubi server status for life, I'm passing.
