If you can play new games on a $400 "work" laptop it will easily be worth $60 a year. There was a review of a budget gaming laptop on digg...it was $1,700... Give me a break.

There is a huge market of people for this service. All those low end laptops would be capable of high end gaming (hopefully). Even if they have to use cables to connect, it's an option hey do noy have ATM.

And you actually think that this is a viable service for "high end gaming"??

LOL

Back to the subject at hand - is this a full-length stand-alone game or just another add-on?

I'm not complaining about Valve's humor or originality, I enjoy their games and their writing but I find it shark jumping that they are incorporating their fictional world with a real world company.

If people are stupid enough to use unsecured wireless communications, then they pretty much deserve anything that happens as a consequence.

OS X itself (not the thing that runs on the iPad/iPods/iPhone) is POSIX compliant. Up until recently it had very good OpenGL support as well (they're a couple major revisions behind now, unfortunately).

That's a great environment for a computer engineer to work in, undeniably better than most console. Many developers will prefer that kind of environment to Windows..

The last time I used OpenGL it required so many vendor-specific extensions for any kind of modern features that I decided to switch to D3D. So no, I don't consider that a "great environment" to work in.

I didn't buy MAW2 because of the lack of dedicated servers. Nor will I ever buy it, the fanboy buttkissers on here not withstanding.

I will probably buy the Treyarch version because of their support for dedicated servers.

Pretty simple.

Sounds good, but it's a no buy if it means their ridiculous DRM.

It's only $60 if you're a tool and buy it on Steam or D2D. Amazon is selling it for $10 cheaper, and last week they had a coupon which allowed me to score for only $40.

LOL, and who's the real tool in this story?

Not remembering my kit loadout along with not remembering my server filters, along with having the punkbuster filter REVERSED were the most annoying things for me.

Glad they got these fixed, but wow, these kinds of problems should have never seen the light of day.

Nvidia is a better card anyway
lol!?.

I've used Geforce 1 to 8 and some ATI's then i went ATI completely because someone has to prevent monopolys for the general good. Have a 5850 now and miss my 5770 because it's the BEST damn card ever made, i dont mean performance wise which is good enough to run most games on highest actually but im talking size/heat/energy consumption/noise/sexy.

So while extolling the virtues of ATI over Nvidia, you're basically telling us that you only went to ATI to break up "monopolies" and that the ATI 5850 is worse than it's predecessor.

Thanks for that great sales pitch, LOL

I'll stick witn Nvidia.
