Blue, I would say $5 dlc for significant content, for a $15 dollar title is fine. But I just don't like any game maker without much credit releasing a game then saying, OH Heres some DLC you WILL WANT... Because Our Game is going to be a MOVIE and a COMIC and then you will want the sequel.
Reviews show the game is all right, esp for its price. I watched a friend try it on his xbox and I wasn't wowed, It's like playing Call of Duty MW 2 and shooting a lamp on a desk and it makes sparks and doesn't move or even fall over, maybe some metal bullet decals pasted on after.., really disheartening.
nin, amazing.... regrettably you are correct but in todays gaming climate where else can solace be found for us? I'm stuck in 2001 with my copy of Deus Ex
rofl nin ftw with facts there.
Seriously tho, Tango down MOVIE!?!? |

"Next big Entertainment Properties"...
Already thinking about more money, and not making DLC as well? jumping straight into another game riding some invisible new and fresh supposed IP or Entertainment property that guises under being unique. LOL I can't wait for the MOVIE AND THE COMIC book!! ROFL who do these Dbag's think they are?? Like that POS crackdown 2, with its high octane commercials, I just LOL at the joke of what gaming to some companies has become.
In Valve I Trust.
When good games that aren't shitty are released every now and then, it reminds us it can be done right.

"The PC version is still OpenGL, but it is possible that could change before release. The actual API code is not very large, and the vertex / fragment code can be easily translated between cg/hlsl/glsl as necessary. I am going to at least consider OpenGL 3.0 as a target, if Nvidia, ATI, and Intel all have decent support. There really won't be any performance difference between GL 2.0 / GL 3.0 / D3D, so the api decision will be based on secondary factors, of which inertia is one.
John Carmack"
Slashdot post by Carmack discussing new ID game Rage.
Sidenote: Autodesk Maya is very awesome.
Very Very Awesome.
Visual Effects work is a lot like making game assets.

You're an idiot. I am running it in OSX.
It's a blizzard game and it runs natively in OSX, columbo. At the Blizzard site you can download the Mac Client or the Windows Client.
I will quote you best. "Wow, you just don't get it."

It's much better than MW2
It's not hard to be better than a hollow scripted world of overblown Hollywood scenes taken to the bitter extreme like MW2 is. I will admit from the artistic standpoint MW2 has stellar animation and modeling etc.
I have been playing the beta for BC2 for awhile and I would say its pretty fucking awesome, its like having four mini battlefield levels in one giant level that keeps growing as the attackers push forward the front.
The games weapon models are a little console looking, esp with the FOV settings, but then I saw a recent vid that shows you should be able to tweak the FOV in options. The rest of the game is pretty solid. It's really turning out to be much more fun than I had originally thought. I actually believe a tiny bit that DICE does somewhat cater to the PC crowd at this point.
if Modern Warfare 2 isn't a giant *UCK *OU to pc gamers, than I don't know what is. |

I'm safe and I render all the time and game more than 3 hours a day.
OS wars.... Let them begin muahhaha!!
rofl Linux is without a doubt the best.
Mac is just fancy artsy opengl rendered unix
and Win 7 is not so bad really =)
still tho linux is just ridiculous. In the end open source everywhere is just amazing.
friend's Laptop died, Apple replaces all defective 8600 GPU's and replaces it free of charge. I will still keep my fingers crossed I guess. |

sidenote: I don't even use the laptop coolers, and use it as a music device for live shows where it's hot as hell and I can't afford for it to crash, this laptop is a beast.
I will admit cus of some physical bumps I did have to open it up and fix my Superdrive one time, and after alot of use in smokey rooms for shows I had to reapply a drop of lube for two logic board fans, to remove some noise. I've always used PC's since 486 DX2 days etc, and DOS. I just prefer to use Linux on my main Desktop Rig and for a laptop I feel this Macbook has done is job in full and then some. Playing Bioshock 2 on it recently, and borderlands with my friends.
aka. Say what you will I've owned the thing and really treated it like shit ( i can admit I'm a rough owner) and it's still running strong. I just dust it out every now and then and make sure the fan's are working smooth, other than that it's fantastic.
ie. Macbook Pro rendering .sgi / .tga animation sequence at around a frame per 30 mins or so for 3-4 day's straight running hot, constantly day after day rendering. It's doing workstation jobs. if you place it on a hard surface that transfer's heat in any way your in luck. |

Meltdown?? got it way back 2007, hardcore game in OSX and XP and do 3D Animation on it all the time in OSX... I'll be sure to let you know if your 'meltdown happens'.
note: You may be referring to the recall for the bad 8600m's that was awhile back. Where indeed they were not soldered to the logic bored completely. No problems here

That's another reason why I despise the Unreal Engine.
You clearly have no idea what your talking about, the other guy below is right, its whatever the developer does for blood, they could use unreal emitters with any type of particle flow and animation you could imagine, like maya's emitters, just most devs think gib and blood isn't that key so they don't make it right.
TUROK 2 cerebral bore BLOOD FTW.
Anyways, while all of you trolls can bag and hate, or say when has 3DR made any good game.
I hate to say it but, I think every game they have made almost has been awesome, aside from the random other company spin offs of duke that 3DR had nothing to do with, and i think balls of steel was a spin off company too. I'd say Duke Nukem 3D Still stands the test of time
* shoot lights out, or turn them off *security cams, cracked walls, and destroyable level geometry * earthquakes,... Uh Shrink ray? Freeze ray? * 3 pretty completely distinct episodes with almost different palettes. *swimming, which was awesome *strippers.
Like really I get the what's taking so long, and all that. If you really aren't a 14yr old jerkoff who sprays their seed at the sight of any of infinity wards table scraps, you can see that maybe they won't make the best game ever made, but it sure will be something that's fun, because I believe that's why we fucking play these games for so long isn't it? I'm an avid PC gamer on every genre and I can say most shooters now and days, are garbage.
That said, I really believe Duke 3D with its practical no story, but boatloads of random features, fun, and places to blow up.. is fucking awesome, and amazing to think in 1997 or 1998, on the build engine, they worked out shootable lights, toilets, cameras, destructible walls.
It's like first playing CODMW2 and shooting a lamp and it just makes a spark and it stays there all static. There is absolutely no excuse for that, esp for how much revenue that game brings in aside from, its just not that well made of a game for fun, its well made for earning money.
THAT SAID.
DNF could be fun, and may possibly be fun. If it comes out, and if it's fun, all the haters will be playing it and dukematching it up shrinking their enemies and stepping on them.
I know there's some if's but I can't promise the IF it comes out. but I can judge based on wacky wheels ( mario kart before mario kart) Duke 3D, Rise of the Triad, Raptor call of the shadows, and a couple more immensely fun games at their times that IF IT comes it IT will be fun.
Just I don't really feel talking shit about duke nukem forever is really that called for when most PC shooters lately have fucking sucked nuts, and don't include dedicated servers.
I even like in the DNF vid, the guns and explosions kick up the water, last time I played borderlands, i'm racing through the desert on a car and I race through some water and it doesn't even move or react at all, its like glass water that is semi solid and you can drive through it...

| As stupid as the Sega Zone can be, it's super cheap, it has some great old games, and can play cartridges, and it has motion control. I still think Dreamcast was an awesome console, as far as success, not so awesome. |

to be honest I loved that game Chaser, and I knew it had some real bad shortcomings.... *stands out of his chair and crys and hugs fat man next to him* Seriously though, didn't anyone think chaser was kinda cool for awhile, atleast multiplayer?.
just to share for any random travelers to see this good games are. Deus Ex Crusader: No Remorse / Regret Fallout (any of them, you can't go wrong) Terminator Future Shock ( exorbitantly amazing for its time ) Scarlett Johansson's butt in Lost in Translation.
I get it guys, I'll give Infernal another look. |

Now that I really think about it, this game is even worse than that game Damnation.
Clumsy cinematics Clumsy game-play. If I use my cognitive abilities to see any clear difference between a game I think has heart and soul and games that don't, I would definitely think about games like these.
Strangely I thought Lost Planet was pretty good, so from that to this is just wrong. |

How much did Capcom pay you to write out that contrived statement?
Infernal was lackluster with some positive features, with the assortments of weapons and abilities the game tells you where and when you can use them, removing any experimentation.
It scares me more that you think this demo is "AWESOME" and that you "really enjoyed" Infernal. |
