I always figured the game starts when I run the executable
I like both games Yifes, but I'm still happy as fuck they are possibly making COH 2.

none at all... Well, no other game period has a "professional esports" scene. Some kid might win a few grand at Halo, and Thresh won a Ferrari, but calling anything else a "scene" is a joke.
Also, calling Starcraft II arcadey is a sign that you've never played Starcraft II or set foot in an acarde in your life. Grew up playing games in the arcade and I've played hundreds of online games of SCII.
You being impressed some insane koreans going gaga for a game and making a gaming league for it is different.
I don't care how you put it, that games about building everything fast.
Please fanbois refrain, I like both games. I'm gonna have to respectfully maintain my stance that COH is definitely not arcady.

No matter what starcraft is about acting first, and the build tree is as linear as COD's Singleplayer campaign. Resource gathering again being an age old mechanic.
I'll stick with COH where you can be on top of resources and a clever player just has to outwit you tactics wise and topple it all with just a few units.
I love both games, but to say COH is arcady compated to SC2 is a joke.
and please spare the popularity / professional league argument. That's all because in it's time it was the most balanced RTS in existence. It improved where Warcraft II literally copied the units and just re skinned them.
This has nothing to do with the differentiation between Arcady or not.

Oh you must be talking about Starcraft II If by arcadey you mean the only RTS since Broodwar with enough balance, depth and skill ceiling to sustain a professional esports scene, then yes.
Agreed. because we all know arcady games don't have a "professional esports scene"
none at all... |

I saw tremendous hate towards the controls before release, but bit the bullet anyways. I play it on my 4S, and it's actually amazing. I haven't had any trouble at all, and I was able to control weapon changes and radio station changes easily without a tutorial.
You can even make the driving use the accelerometer or use joypad or a left and right button like Chinatown wars. On foot it's even better.
Anyone that tells you they can't play the game can't play ANY game on the iphone, It's so smooth and simple. They are just gonna be the same players that only play angry birds or they are the anti touch screen gamers.
I wouldn't say it's made for touch screen, but it sure as hell works. |

I can def say I played the original, and loved it because it was fun, and the build editor took years away from my life before unreal 1 came out. |

Wow, If you told me this was an elaborate full scale skin mod for CS, with worse community made weapon animations then I'd believe you.
This is pretty terrible.
You can't beat gooseman's animation skills with those first person weapon animations. It's good to know they remade DE_Dust's Skybox and retextured it much worse and ruined all the good animations.
Side by Side CS:Source's way slicker.
As a once diehard CS player I can say this looks awful. Even more awful if they keep that radial menu in the PC release.
I vote to say this probably won't end up looking any better.

I'm saying that the impact is VASTLY smaller than they make it seem. I very much support games that I believe are worth the money. League of Legends... game is free to play but I purposely bought content solely for the purpose of supporting a game I felt was worth the money. I've "pirated" other games that didnt provide demos and if I found they were worth it I bought them as I'm betting the majority of that 95% do.
Fact is if you produce a solid game people buy it. UBI is banking on doing most of their sales with hype/ads and not on game content which is why they are so concerned with piracy.
BINGO, Couldn't have put it better myself. |

I still stand by a Doom classic mod with the overcast skies, labyrinth level design and light.
Btw Farcry did some amazing stencil shadows and light in certain levels when it wanted, whomever thinks doom3 was far ahead of it is out to lunch. |

| Hopefully a remake with that overcast sky and daylight. Something way more unique then the super dark version. Almost felt like you'd wanna live on the moon base in the original doom if it had been cleared out and was peaceful. Doom 3 Just felt poopy no matter how you light it. |

No.
In other words, The Bible= hate, violence, rape. GTA= hate, violence, rape.
And finally.
GTA = The Bible praise god.... zilla... |

That EULA quote is perfectly applicable. |
