You just haven't been paying attention. So you're judging an entire game based on a demo? I think that speaks for itself. Maybe if you actually played the full game you'd have a different opinion, but I see you'd rather follow the hater sheep. |

Its the #1 selling game right now. Obviously those are not all first time buyers. I'm sorry you're not having FUN playing this AWESOME game. You state no reason for your statement. Therefore I have to assume you are nothing more than a troll who hasn't even bothered to play the full version. |

I'm throwing my hat in against all the hate. I bought the game after playing through the demo twice. I can't stop playing. I am having a BLAST. Most of the negative reviews I have read I think are from people who aren't even really playing. The people that say they just let the game play itself during fights and are winning are lying. Especially during boss battles. I am constantly pausing the combat, repositioning my party and choosing what abilities to use.
The voice acting is excellent. Any one who says otherwise is once again lying. The first time I heard Kate Mulgrew speak, she gave me goose bumps. She is an amazing actress and a great voice over artist as well. All the other chatacters seem very real to me.
The graphics with the hi-res pack are simply stunning. I've found myself stopping and looking around me a lot. More than most games. Seeing the cloud shadows move along the ground is awesome.
I've always loved the Bioware dialog wheel, and that's no exception in this game. The fact that you're never quite sure exactly what your going to say is cool.
Yes, they took some of the ideas in ME2, and added them to DA2. So what? The Mass Effect series is awesome.
I loved DAO, but I'm having just as much fun playing this one.
The only people losing in this scenario, are the haters. They are missing out on a great game. |

I had to come back to this thread. I haven't read a lot of the follow up. This is just a personal experience. I bought the game last night. And guess what? I can't stop playing. I think I'm even having more fun than I did on the first one. I think people are being WAY too picky and LOOKING for things to bitch about instead of enjoying the game. After all, isn't the point of playing a game to have fun?
I friend of mine started a thread on Facebook, simply stating "Leave me alone Dragon Age II <3" The thread has exploded with all our gamer friends talking about how much they love this game. I was quite surprised. It made me smile.
So while all the haters hate, I'm having a ton of fun and feel sorry for all the haters who are missing out. Nah...I don't really feel sorry for you :D. |

They REALLY need to get a trial out. I want to try it before I buy. Then again, I was in beta for Aion, and STO, bought both, and played neither after the first month.
The positive comments on here make me want to try. |

| This article is a complete waste of time. Blizzard has been doing hotfixes for years. He is talking out his ass. He says the game was unfinished? No, Blizzard is ALWAYS tweaking their games for various balance issues. They are perfectionists. We need more developers like them. |

| I downloaded the demo but I haven't tried it yet. From what I've read on the forums, no one is playing it so there is no one to play against. They did lower the price based upon customer feedback, which I find interesting. |

I played the console version before I played the PC version, and the best way I can describe it, is it felt like trying to move in mud. That sounds like you're describing the console versions. You can aim and turn exponentially more quickly in the PC version. I wish I was...I'd rather play ANY game on a PC. |

Other than having to use WASD and needing to use the v-synch fix what was wrong with them? They worked fine for me after those two (admittedly stupid) hurdles were passed. I played the console version before I played the PC version, and the best way I can describe it, is it felt like trying to move in mud. It just wasn't as "smooth." If its not fixed in DS2, I hope they have controller support.../ducks. |

"This is not the first time ADUC has taken to the courts over Windows preinstalls. In 2007, the group successfully sued HP after it failed to abide by the terms of the Microsoft End User License Agreement, which explicitly permits a user to refuse to accept the terms and receive a full refund."
So I can just say I refuse to accept the agreement and I get a refund for the copy of windows that came on my machine pre-installed? I wonder if this EULA is the same in the U.S? I doubt it. |

Yeah, I've definitely sold my soul by working at Blizzard... If I recall, it was you who was saying that a devs primary is/should be concerned with the bottom line. If you would like to use yourself/your career as an example as why that isn't the case though, I guess you're welcome to help defeat your own argument.
Which is to say (at the risk of being presumptious,) you have a job you like making games you enjoy/are proud of, and you well to do, financially speaking. So even though you're doing alright for yourself, Your not worried about job hunting for something that might pay more. I can't stand Farmville. I do like a few beer and pretzel games, which I would call casual. All I'm pointing out is that making games is a business. Especially if you have stockholders to deal with.
Casual games are a great way to make money, especially the kind you find on Facebook that deal in microtransactions. People don't think twice about spending a few dollars here and there. 63 million + users times a few dollars each. I don't think I need to do the math for you. Of course, not all those people are buying Farmville cash, but hey, there are 20 more games like it on Facebook.
To ignore casual gamers could potentially be a bad move. That is if you want to be a billionaire. I'm sure Cliff at Positech is doing just fine. That said, I seriously doubt the PC Gaming Alliance "read between the lines" necessarily equates to them embracing casual games, but if it does, I have no problem with that.
Hardcore gamers tend to forget that they may be the loudest, but they are in the minority. |

Any chance you know David Wang? He's a producer at Blizzard that helped me get an brand manager interview a ways back but I'd already accepted another job by the time it came through. You said Wang...huhhuh...uhh...huh...
I have nothing to hide, except what my NDA says I can't
BTW, I've outed myself in the past. |

I would like to retract my own statement. I don't know what I was thinking. Well, actually I do. The console version. I will have to agree that $60 for the PC version is a RIP OFF. Just like what Activision has done with the CoD franchise. I refuse to pay $60 for any PC game. Hell, I'll rarely pay $50. |
