Also don't like the inventory system, and how, when you pick up a new weapon, one of your old one seems to disappear into the ether. I could see it dropping on the ground, but they literally just disappear from the world. As an example, I see some booze. I pick it up, only for some reason, it takes a weapon slot, and eats one of my weapons. WTH? Maybe I can shank someone with the glass? Nope. One swig and the bottle is now gone too, and I only have one weapon now instead of two.

This was a really weird decision. I can't imagine this is intended. I had a nice upgraded stick that just went poof. It took me a couple of bottles of booze before I figured out that indeed I was losing things in my inventory when it is full. Now I make sure there is always a free slot, but should I really need to do that?

After the patch I'm also getting the major pause every 2 -3 minutes that didn't happen prior. I'll try the priority thing and see if that helps.

I am having a ton of fun with the game though.

I'm pretty sure the same thing happened with Shogun 2 on Steam. They released the wrong version but fixed it the next day.

Well you have a point Before its out its all fishing in the fog on my part... we'll see.

Still i think you now heard of Grim Dawn and if you find out who makes the game, and which game they made before you'd know why its far above Diablo 3 in my hype meter ;p

Crate Entertainment? They haven't released any other games. Unless you are referring to some of the founders original company, Iron Lore, which made the mediocre Titan Quest, which didn't even sell enough to keep the studio open. Or their "help" on Soulstorm. No, I don't know why its far above Diablo 3 on your hype meter.

Oh.
My.
Fucking.
God.

That 133lltower site is made up entirely of 25x25 pixel blocks with background images in them. Holy fuck. Why? Are some of them going to be clickable? O.o

When you enter the L/P, the web site image slowly dissolves into the missing link picture, 25x25 squares at at time.

You know NOBODY is "decoding" this shit. It's impossible. Someone show me a decoding chart or something cuz we all know it's just Eidos or Square "leaking" information so it all gets "decoded" at the right time, or at all.

Ahh, marketing. You silly little man you.

Actually they did. There was a .wav embeded on the site that was in morse code. Someone on Reddit figured out the Morse code. Another user noticed the GPS coordinates on the web site and plugged them into google maps.

will be getting on the pc, and will be happy that its counting to my gamerscore on my xbox.

I've never really understood the draw of gamerscore. It's not like a points system on a FPS server for example because the scales aren't weighted fairly, one person might be 1000 points above because they bought Barbie Funhouse for the cheevos. What do people get out of it, just bragging rights or something? I've tried asking my friends but they can't even articulate it beyond they like seeing numbers increment.

I like to compare my score to my friends, especially on games we both played. I could care less about the overall score as there are people out there who's whole entire lives are dedicated to getting 6,000,000 GS. Also its fun to try to unlock all the achievements for a game you really like, for example, the Mass Effect series.

There are a few games I have bought on PC and then on Xbox, just for getting achievements, Alpha Protocol comes to mind.

Its like having a goal and then reaching it. Don't you feel some sort of satisfaction when you have reached a goal that you have set for yourself?

11. Re: Batman: Arkham City Still Using GFWL Aug 30, 2011, 11:57 Dirwulf

I never have any problems with GFWL. I log in using my Xbox live ID and done. It takes about 5 seconds. I still play Dirt 2 all the time on it. Batman AA ran just fine for me through it and even tracked PC achievements and added them to my Xbox live account. GOTY actually counts as a separate game, so I have all the BAA achievements twice.

And why would you play this on a console when its going to look so much better on a PC. You'd rather play a shitty looking game with a controller than log in to GFWL? I say you are full of it.

I'm a pretty thorough player, but I feel like I only clocked about 25 hours... which is pretty decent, but whenever I play a great game like this, I always want more, more, more. I was hoping it would take the 35-40 hours I was hearing that more thorough players could look forward to.

I've seen this in several places, one guy who said he finished it in 15 hours, and I don't know what people are doing to get through so fast. I'm 33 hours in and I just went back to China. I have almost every single augment completely unlocked 51 Praxis points to this point. 26/49 achievements so far, on PC version.

There is an augment to see through walls so you know which ones not to punch through.

The Merchant windows force us to use the Arrow keys instead of the mouse. It's obviously not as big a slap in the face as the boss fights (I've only had one forced) but still it stands out as one of the only places we are forced to use Arrow keys.

I'm not having any problems using the mouse in the merchants windows. Click on the arrows to move between categories and then scroll through the items with the mouse wheel.

Also its VERY easy to cheese the boss fights. SPOILER: Cloak and then TYPHOOOOOOOOON!!! You can 1 shot Barret. I shot Ylena a couple times before I typhooned her so not sure If I could have one shotted her or not.
